Chapter 73 - Kurayami's Secret Team

(Azazel point of view.)

(VOTE IS CLOSED, Scáthach wins. Thank you, my loyal readers.)

The next morning Azazel had arrived at the devil territory and he was dressed in a suit and just thinking of the last few years and how the birth of Kurayami changed everything for Grigori. Thanks to him, Grigori got access to 6 Longinus, Azazel\'s own research had progressed farther than he thought possible.

Fallen Angels were not in danger of going extinct and peace was on the way for the simple reason that Kurayami was that strong and not a prideful fool. Even if he was proud of his lineage he did not show it outright. Raynare was just as important as Azrael had returned to Grigori because of her now they had two super fallen angels.

The demigods were stronger than ever and they were all turned into fallen angels. That had brought their powers to an even higher level and that is not even counting on Ares as a trainer. One of their teams was going to be one of their best assets, but it would not be possible if not for Kurayami..

Azazel mused about that boy he knew since he was just a depressed newborn. He still wanted to know why he was so depressed, but he may never know. "Man, that brat is such a pain, but I am proud of him. Maybe I should follow suit and get married. Maybe my kid will be like him." He then broke out laughing at himself and shook his head.

"Not a chance, Kurayami is too much of a once-in immortal lifetime genius, but thanks to him this is close to being finished."

Azazel pulled out Downfall Dragon Spear and felt it just needed a few more tweaks and it would be equal to a regular sacred gear. Most of the side effects were already fixed and the progress allowed him to use Fafnir\'s power better.

Suddenly 5 fallen angels in full suits of black armor bowed to him. On the chestplate was an imprint of Kurayami\'s brand. A black dog head holding a sword in its mouth. This team was one of those demigod-turned fallen angels called the Abyss Dogs. They were picked out by Kurayami himself and they were given blood crystals made from Kurayami\'s blood and received sacred gears implanted, artificial or not.

Trained by Ares, Azrael, and Kurayami and all of them were already 10 wing fallen angels. They were all on the border to the 12 wing level and it was a matter of time. Azazel looked at the leader, a huge man about 2 meters tall and his armor was blacker than the others.

The greatsword on his back gave off a pitch-black miasma showing it was made of stygian iron and a few other materials. The man bowed and spoke.

"Governor-General, Lady Leviathan is here to meet with you." Azazel got up and sighed.

"Is this really necessary? I think I can take care of myself, I do have my own sacred gear you know." The man shook his head and the woman at his side also agreed with him. Her long blue hair was in a tight ponytail behind her helmet. On her back was a black spear and she was tall. Maybe 1.8 meters tall.

"Governor-General, we can never be too sure. We are an elite force chosen by Kurayami. He gave us his own blood and we cannot let him down." Azazel patted both of their shoulders. "Fine, let\'s go." All 5 banged on the chest plate and followed him out. When they left the train he and his guards got a few looks and common devils left in fear.

Levithan saw him and approached him and when she saw the 5 people behind him she knew they were elites. Each one of them gave her a feeling that they were just as dangerous as Azazel was, if not a little more. That was what happens when a God of war, The Angel of Death and Angel of the Abyss(Kurayami\'s new title.) Train you.

Leviathan extended her hand and Azazel shook her. "Lady Levithan, it\'s good to see you." Levithan nodded. "Governor-General, I see you are in good health. Please come with me." Azazel, Levithan, and his guards all went to the next train towards Lilith and Serafall looked at the guards and she looked at Azazel.

"May I know who your guards are? They all seem very strong." Azazel grinned with pride.

"This is an elite team chosen by Kurayami and trained by our best trainers. They all have implanted sacred gears and we outfitted them with the best gear and the best training they can get." Serafall was surprised that Grigori had managed to raise such a team on top of Kurayami and his team. She nodded as she was impressed.

"I see, He didn\'t tell me when we talked." Azazel nodded.

"Well, it is not something you say. It was decided we should send our elite team in case my life was in danger, but I still do not see that point. I told them Kurayami and Azrael are all guarding I need and if something happens to me they will go wild, but as you can see."

One of the guards had lighter armor than the rest and a large pair of knives on his legs spoke and his helmet was shaped like a wolf. His presence was like he was not here and he was a top knife fighter who spoke up.

"Governor-General, you should get to the point. Lord Shemazai has told us to make sure you don\'t goof off." A big burly woman with her blond hair in a ponytail also agreed.

"He is right, you know. You can get distracted." A big black ax was on her back and Azazel sighed as this team was one of the best in Grigori. It was a team of demigods turned fallen angels and each one was quite literally a monster on their own. They had inherited their godparents\' power and boosted that with their new fallen angel blood.

Along with the sacred gears implanted were much safer and now they had few rejections. The team was made up of Jannice daughter of Athena(Blue haired girl), Clarise daughter of Ares, Jaime son of Hermes(Knives guy), Jack another son of Ares(Leader), and finally, James son of Apollon.

They were the ones chosen by Kurayami as their abilities were some of the best of demigods. Clarrise had switched from a spear to an ax because Kurayami recommended it to her.

Jaime had surpassed Luke and even taken his speed even higher than Luke ever could. His speed was nicknamed godspeed as he moved like a blur. Yet, he still could not match any of his trainers. Ares had begun to train even more to keep up with his Kurayami who he had chosen as his rival. Everyone needs a rival and Kurayami is a good goal.

Clarise herself had her power exceeded any limits she ever could have imagined. James was their archer and he was their rearguard and he could even fight hand to hand quite well. They also all used touki to a good degree, but none of them had sengutus.

Azazel smiled. "Well, I am proud of them all. All of them are former demigods you know. Anyway, how was the day with Kurayami and the others?" Serafall was shocked that they were demigods as many demigods go on to be legends. How strong are they now?

Serafall coughed and got her focus back. "Well he broke off his engagement with Rias and he said she was too weak and spoiled. Once that was done he asked for me and I decided to agree." Jack, James, and Jaime began to clap and Clarsie and Jannice nodded a few times.

Serafall sighed and Azazel broke out laughing. "Well, I take this all political right? If he did not marry Rias the Great King faction would have offered, right?" She nodded.

She nodded. "Those guys would have gained more status and It is far too soon for us to have any love, but I feel we are friends. It might take time, but we got plenty of that." Azazel nodded.

"Well knowing him you probably will not be disappointed. He is a good guy. I can vouch for him." They kept talking business all trip until they arrived at the city.

Kurayami felt Azazel and his team and wanted to check them out. He and the girls were long since awake and were going about their day. He and the girls were in the dining hall and he looked over to Azazel\'s direction.

Esdeath looked up. "Did Azazel arrive?" He nodded. Raynare had a thoughtful look on her face.

"I heard the Abyss Dogs were coming as Azazel\'s guards. How do you think the team you choose is doing?" Kurayami grinned.

"They are all demigods turned fallen angels, trained by Ares, grandpa, and me, and they were turned with blood crystals made from my blood. I truly think that they will all become 12 winged fallen and they have sacred gears implanted." Lavinia smiled.

"They are strong, but the only one who can use magic properly is Jannice as you know demigods seem to be made for ancient Greek, but thanks to their tenacity they can all use it even if to some lesser degree." Artemis was also sitting with them and she thought about it.

"Kurayami, you did kill Luke, the son of my brother Hermes. Last time I saw that he took it really hard as Luke was his favorite. You made a god an enemy." He nodded.

"If nothing was done Luke would have brought back Kronos, but knowing the titan king he is far from done. Luke must not be the only one he seduced with empty promises, but if Hermes does betray us I will beat him so badly he wished he joined his son." Artemis sighed.

"I hope it does not come to that." Kurayami nodded.

"As do I, Hermes does not seem like a bad guy. I am glad I got to Jaime before him. I know Jaime and he is loyal. Sadly his loyalty was ignored as he was one of many who never met Hermes or his god parent. " Artemis nodded.

"Well, one day in the future I am glad that I am not bound to the same rules. As you are fallen angels our children can\'t be considered mortal, or demigod. Meaning I can spend all the time with them. " Akeno smiled teasingly and Artemis got bright red as she realized what she said. Akeno hugged her and rubbed her lower belly.

"Is big sis Artemis already thinking that far ahead? I hope they get your pretty hair and eyes. Will their wings be silver? Will they use a sword or bow, would you prefer a boy or girl?" Artemis was as red as can be and pushed Akeno off gently and ran off in shame. Kurayami broke out laughing and shook his head at her antics.

"I am glad she is thinking that far. I know I have. I always wanted kids." The girls all looked at him and thought about a day in the future when they can settle down and have his kids. That day is far off, but a girl can dream. Ophis looked at her stomach and at Kurayami.

She pulled his sleeve and he looked over to her. "Us, baby?" She tilted her head and he thought it was adorable. He ran his hand down her silky black hair and smiled. "Maybe one day." Esdeath was thinking about it and she was glad as she wanted a strong child. A boy and a girl and she wanted to train both of them together with Kuratami.

Vritra coiled around Raynare and he thought about it. "Partner, I believe your children will inherit some of my abilities as you know sacred gear abilities can be inherited to a weaker degree. When Tobio lost Canis Lycaon he had some leftovers left and the same will occur. Maybe they will also get your Death power, partner." Raynare grinned.

"Well, Well, seems my kids will be the strongest." Esdetah scoffed. "Not a chance. I do have a Longinus you know, wouldn\'t mine be stronger." Raynare laughed and shook her head.

"Dragons are stronger. Vritra is not whole and once he is he will also be Loginus level. My grandpa already said I will surpass him in time. What do you got, ice cone."

Lavina pouted. "I find that rude. I can also use ice."

Ophis nodded and pointed at Esdeath. "Blue girl, not ice cream." They all broke out laughing as some arguments like this were fun. Kurayami got up. "Want to go see Azazel? I want to check up on my team." The girls nodded and they all got up to go pick up Azazel and the Abyss Dogs. They also wanted to see Kurayami\'s death squad.
