Chapter 99 - Hostility

"Love is for my family members. Not those destined to kill my father." Thor scowled.

"I was not born with hate towards Odin. He just felt threatened, and now he brought that fate upon himself. The reason that I, or rather Lucas, came here is different, however. We are here to warn your entire country of something. So why don\'t you move so that we can rest? I am really tired." Fenrir said.

"Warn us? We know better than to trust someone like you." Thor scoffed.

Angela, who was ignored up until now, stood back up. She looked at Thor. "He is not here as Fenrir, but as a member of the council that the gods have appointed to take care of the mortal realm. We are here because we need to warn the gods of something drastic that has occurred conveniently after the gods have left the mortal realm for their break." Angela said.

"Oh, and what might that be?" Thor raised his eyebrow.

"Ragnarok. Praneeth heard the rumors from the gods, and we all but confirmed the group behind it." Angela said with a solemn tone.

Thor\'s and Heimdall\'s faces changed.

"You dare claim that when the sole perpetrator of that is standing right in front of me? It seems that father has made the wrong choices in choosing the council members." Thor shouted with anger.

"That is why I told you to pack a lot of clothes this time around. I knew that these idiots would get in the way. Heimdall, give us some accommodations. I will wait until Odin is willing to see us. Even if he is unreasonable, he is still king, and he should have the proper decency to welcome a guest, and see what he has come here for." Fenrir said.

"I will arrange for a proper place to stay. We will see if there are any rooms are left in Valhalla." Heimdall said.

"What is going on Heimdall? Are you really going to allow him to stay here? What are you doing?" Thor asked, outraged.

"He is right, Thor. He was not violent when he arrived, and it is only right for us to be cool headed when dealing with him." Heimdall said.

He snapped his fingers, and Lucas and Angela felt that they were being transported once more.

"That bastard could at least have the decency of telling us that he was going to move us immediately." Lucas cursed.

"Be happy that he did not kill you. Take what you have." Angela, who was right next to him, said.

The two of them touched solid ground all of a sudden. Lucas was able to regain his balance, but it seemed that Angela was not used to this sort of transport at all, because she fell to the ground once more.

"How are you doing that? I have no idea when we stop. I need to learn that." she muttered.

"Practise. I had to visit this place as a sort of probation for so long after I got that contract with Fenrir. That is why I started laying down my base next to that city. The city came much, much later. That is why I even have a private strip of airspace in the airport. I did not even need to put the strip outside." Lucas said.

Angela nodded as she looked around. There was gold and flashy items everywhere. On the roof, shields decorated the ceiling, and it seemed that it was all that supported whatever was above.

"What is this place? He said Valhalla, but we aren\'t exactly dead, are we?" Angela asked.

"Another precaution against me. You see, I am a risk to keep. Even if I kill anyone here though, they are going to be reborn, because you cannot die twice. That is not the same for gods. Once Fenrir kills Odin, and swallows him, Odin won\'t be reborn. He will be stuck in Fenrir\'s stomach forever." Lucas said.

"Please don\'t tell me that you are planning to kill a few people here as well. We are here in peace." Angela said.

"Are you kidding me? They put me in the world\'s best playground and expect me not to play? Where is the fun in that?" Lucas grinned widely.

He took a few steps around, and stopped in front of what appeared to be a huge door, but was closed.

"I am sorry, but that door should remain closed. Your accommodations will be provided shortly. Because of how Valhalla works, you will have to share your room with five others, and it just so seems that the Miss here has a room available for her. But sir has to be put in one of the hell ranked rooms, at the order of the gods." a voice came from behind Lucas.

He did not even bother to turn. He smiled as he said, "Put me in Bjorn\'s or Ragnar\'s rooms. They are really fun. They can play with me." Lucas started stretching his fingers and arms.

"As you wish sir. You shall be transported with your clothing." the voice said. Lucas disappeared from where he stood. Angela, however, was still standing there, facing a woman who was clad in armor.

"Are you what they call a valkyrie?" she asked.

"That is correct, Miss. You are an esteemed guest of the gods, and they have said that you will not be as troublesome as the guest that was sent to room one. You shall be sent to room number ten. I hope that you have a good time." the valkyrie said.

"What is the difference between rooms?" Angela asked.

"The best warriors of the lands are in the hell-ranked rooms. It is a slaughter-fest every day, and only those who can survive are put in those rooms. I have no idea who the guest who has arrived is, but he is sure to face a tough time. He was put in the room with the strongest fighters of all history. There were only four people ever who had the qualifications to enter that room." the valkyrie said.

"That is Lucas. Alright. I also want to go to my room. The Bifrost transportation wasn\'t exactly comfortable." Angela sighed.

She also disappeared, and the entire room was empty now. The valkyrie was no longer anywhere to be seen, and silence was all that remained.

Elsewhere,

"Alright. I finally saw you boys after so long. I thought that I would never see you. You died so young, such a pity." Lucas said with a loud voice.

"You finally came here. But how the hell did you die?" a man with a huge moustage and a rugged body said.

"You the hell said that I died?" Lucas grinned.

"You are still not dead? How the hell are you still alive? With your stupid attitude, I was sure that you would offend some god and he would zap you to death." another man said.

Lucas was in a room that had six beds on one side which looked pristine, while the rest of the room was filled with cuts and scars on the walls.

"Let me see. I recognize Ragnar and Bjorn. Who are the other two?" Lucas pointed towards the two who just spoke, and then looked at two other men, one short and one huge, who were standing a little farther, and were looking at him with squinted eyes.

"Don\'t worry. I don\'t bite. I just kill." Lucas grinned.

"Who are you? I thought that no one else was qualified for this room. They were just chickens and could not last even a few days." the short one asked.

"Me? Don\'t worry boy. I am not like those people. For me, all of you are just kids, so I am going to handicap myself. There are four of you right? Allright. Putting my left hand aside. That seems fair right Ragnar?" Lucas looked at Ragnar, and one who spoke first.

"That seems fair. But don\'t complain. We have gotten much better. We might actually beat you." Ragnar said.

"What are you doing Ragnar? Are you willing to shame yourself like that? To actually fight someone with a handicap?" the short man asked.

"Calm down Erik. You are misunderstanding him. I won\'t be facing him. All of us will be facing him together. I dare not try to beat a Lucas with one arm. I would ask him to put his left leg down as well." Ragnar said.

"What a shame you are to us, Ragnar. I thought that you were a legendary warrior of your time, but to think that you are afraid of a new arrival, who probably is like the midget many of these new ones are." the huge man behind Erik said.

"What did you just say? What did you just call me?" Lucas\' face twitched as he looked the man.

"A midget. That is all that you are." the man said.

Lucas looked at Ragnar and Bjorn.

"How long will they regenerate after dying?" he asked them.

"One hour." Ragnar said.

"Looks like this place is going to be silent for one hour." Lucas said.

Ragnar and Bjorn shook their heads at the huge man. "You brought it upon yourself Egil. You just brought it upon yourself." Bjorn said.
