Chapter 262 - Start To Move

Chapter 262: Start To Move

Yun Xiangxiang calmed down after listening to Song Qian. The latter shared the hidden cameras’ footage with Ai Li. That way, Yun Xiangxiang could see what was happening in her home even when she was in the hotel.

Song Qian would pick Yun Lin up at five in the afternoon every day, and they would be back by seven, leaving two hours where the house was unoccupied.

Zhou Jie and Coco, who lived downstairs, followed Yun Xiangxiang around. Yun Xiangxiang didn’t use the nutritionist and the cameraman He Wei hired that much.

She allowed them to take other jobs. That was why they didn’t live here. Most of the time, only Qian Yongnian and Wang Yong were there.

Wang Yong would go out to buy ingredients, and Qian Yongnian was a jade sculptor. He spent his time practicing and didn’t work on the black jadeite yet. He didn’t go out that much.

Nothing happened on the first day. Yun Xiangxiang wasn’t that worried when she was filming the next day.

Her performance was okay. Her scenes that day weren’t too important either. Yun Xiangxiang was glued to her phone, which was rare. She stared at it all day, save for the time when she was filming.

Charging it once could usually sustain her for a few days. But that day, she brought a power bank with her.

She had some scenes later in the evening. Wang Yong sent her a lunch box. She had it in the filming venue and waited for her next scene.

Yun Xiangxiang noticed someone infiltrating her house when she was having lunch. It was a man with a hat. She couldn’t see how he looked.

He was a professional, wearing gloves as he entered the password. He checked the first floor thoroughly before going up to the second floor.

Yun Xiangxiang locked her room, but it was nothing for him. After he broke in, he didn’t mess her bedroom up.

Every move he made was careful. And he finally found Yun Xiangxiang’s safety box. It was embedded into the wall.

He glued a thin transparent film on the keypad. There were visible traces on some keyboards after he tore it off. With that, he was able to see the numbers that made up the passcode.

The only thing left was the combination. He tried keying in one combination, but he got it wrong. Now he knew how many tries he had left.

But he didn’t continue testing it. Instead, he observed the safety box for a while before he went under Yun Xiangxiang’s bed.

He came out soon after and snuck something in every room. He left at around six-thirty.

When Song Qian came home, it was as if she didn’t notice anything different. She waited for Wang Yong to come over and make dinner. When she was chatting with him in the kitchen, Song Qian sent Yun Xiangxiang a message.

[They installed cameras and bugs in here. It’s going to be troublesome to talk up here. Little Lin and I will be living downstairs from now on. Everything’s under control. You just focus on filming.]

[They know I’m out here filming. Why did they install a hidden camera in my room?]

Yun Xiangxiang asked about the thing she found illogical. Song Qian had not entered Yun Xiangxiang’s room.

What could the camera under the bed even film? The safety box was in the cloakroom. It wasn’t because of the box that the cloakroom was separated from the bedroom.

Now that Yun Xiangxiang’s house had cameras, they couldn’t come in easily to scout.

[I’ll get back to you once I find out why that is.]

Song Qian knew where all the cameras were. If the angle was correct, showing them edited footage of Yun Xiangxiang’s bedroom could easily fool them. She could check out what was hidden under Yun Xiangxiang’s bed without alerting them that way.

Song Qian didn’t expect them to hide a bomb under Yun Xiangxiang’s bed. They must be trying to take their revenge.

Bombs were not Song Qian’s specialty. It had not been activated yet. She was also worried that they might notice something if she tampered with the cameras for too long. When she left Yun Xiangxiang’s room, she restored everything to the way it was and handed the bomb over to the police.

She couldn’t hide it from Yun Xiangxiang either, not when she was already suspecting something. Song Qian told her the truth.

Yun Xiangxiang was disturbed. She called Han Zhaolin, but he didn’t reply until half an hour later.

“Anything?” He asked curtly.

“I’m worried about my parents and Qian Yongnian’s grandson,” Yun Xiangxiang felt that these criminals were not easy to handle.

They must have some members left. She was worried someone would harm her family or Qian Qian.

“Understood,” Han Zhaolin gave her a one-word reply.

Even so, Yun Xiangxiang knew he must be making arrangements now.

Yun Xiangxiang sat on her bed and immersed herself in her thoughts. She noticed that her luck was impossibly high after her rebirth.

Everything seemed to be going her way. “May all your wishes come true” didn’t seem like an empty wish now. Even if she didn’t ask for it, the best thing would come her way also if she so much as made a move.

The case with the stone told her something about her good luck: Too much of it is dangerous.

She needed to avoid making herself super-wealthy from now on, or else she could get in trouble.

Gaining wealth through hard work was the way to go. She could avoid many unwanted problems. If not, wealth would be a curse instead of a blessing.

Most people could only see the bright side of things they had not experienced.

Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t go back no matter how worried she was. She would ruin their plan if she did. She focused on filming, pretending not to know about this.

Two days later, Qian Yongnian called her. “It’s mostly ready. I can start working on it now.”

“Alright. Ask Qianqian to give you the stone,” Yun Xiangxiang knew they were listening in. When Qian Yongnian said, “It’s almost ready,” he was probably sending a message from Song Qian, saying that the criminals were ready to act.

Yun Xiangxiang knew this was a signal. They know the criminals only wanted to know the passcode and where the stone was. When they did, they wouldn’t let Qian Yongnian work on the stone.

As expected, Qian Yongnian received a phone call from Qian Qian’s school at night. They said his grandson was hurt.

Qian Yongnian was worried. He called Yun Xiangxiang, “Nobody’s looking after Qian Qian. I need to go back.”

The criminals had someone following Qian Qian as expected. This was one of Song Qian and Captain Luo’s plans to force the hiding criminal to show himself.

“I’ll ask Qianqian to get you a ticket. Once you get there, can you get someone to take care of Qian Qian and come back?” Yun Xiangxiang started acting.

“I’ll be back as soon as possible if it’s not serious,” Qian Yongnian didn’t agree straight away.

“Okay,” Yun Xiangxiang sighed and called Song Qian.

They booked the flight. But only business class tickets were left for the night flights. Qian Yongnian chose to depart tomorrow morning.

The criminals disrupted the booking system. They could have possibly bought the tickets in bulk, forcing Qian Yongnian to take tomorrow’s flight. When he did, they would ask for refunds for the tickets they bought.

They did it to buy time. Song Qian would have to send Qian Yongnian to the airport after sending Yun Lin to school. They would have ample time to do what they needed to.

Everything would come to an end tomorrow. Yun Xiangxiang was getting more nervous. Everything was under their control, but she was inexplicably afraid.

She went through their plans again before she sat up and called He Wei, “Brother Wei, I’m worried about Little Lin.”
