Chapter 744 - Mr. Fu, Have You Ever Heard Of The Black Clouds Fortress
Chapter 744: Mr. Fu, Have You Ever Heard Of The Black Clouds Fortress
“Moliang, who’s that….”
“Yan Jinyi, Huo Xishen’s wife.”
‘Huo Xishen’s wife?’
Fu Borong’s gaze flickered and he took the initiative to go forward and greet Yan Jinyi.
“Second Young Mistress Huo, welcome to the Fu family’s banquet.”
Yan Jinyi hung up the phone and only then did she look up at Fu Borong.
They were now only a meter apart from each other and under the bright overhead light, Fu Borong’s face was reflected clearly in front of her.
Her pupils constricted slightly as she tried to suppress the anger and killing intent that was surging within her.
“So you’re Fu Borong?” She asked, blatantly calling him by his full name in a cold and austere tone.
Fu Borong somehow had a feeling that the woman in front of him bore a strong hatred against him.
However, he was very sure that this was his first meeting her.
‘But… she’s got a gorgeous face. It’s a pity that she’s a married woman, and worse still, her husband is Huo Xishen.’
Ignoring the bizarre feeling, Fu Borong extended his arm towards her in a very gentlemanly manner and said, “I am indeed Fu Borong. Second Young Mistress Huo, I’ve long heard about you and your impeccable investment foresight.”
Glancing at the hand that Fu Borong extended, Yan Jinyi smiled faintly, formed herself to resist the repulsion within herself, and accepted the handshake, though she quickly withdrew her hand.
The man in front of her was really identical to that man she knew, except for his clothes and hair.
“Mr. Fu, have you heard of the Black Cloud Fortress?”
Fu Borong nodded and said, “Of course, I have. It’s the latest vacation hotspot that has been rising to popularity. I heard it’s owned by Second Young Mistress Huo.”
Yan Jinyi pursed her lips and smiled, “What I’m talking about, is the bandit’s lair, Black Cloud Fortress.”
She carefully observed Fu Borong’s demeanor, only to see that he seemed to be rather puzzled. “Are there still bandits in modern society?”
“Oh, just kidding.”
Bai Moliang noticed the interaction between the two, and somehow felt that there was something odd about Yan Jinyi’s attitude towards Fu Borong.
“Second Young Mistress Huo, you seem to admire Borong.”
Facing Bai Moliang, Yan Jinyi was filled with genuine disgust. “Regardless of whether I admire him or not, it seems to have nothing to do with Mr. Bai.”
He was appalled by her attitude. He was at least one of the most promising candidates to become the next director yet she showed no courtesy to him.
“Second Young Mistress Huo, did you not even learn the basic manners of a wealthy family after you married into the Huo family?”
Yan Jinyi suddenly smiled brightly and replied in a particularly serious manner, “Yes! Well, the Huo family is at the top of the pyramid after all. How can we not even have etiquette lessons?”
“Hmph, I bet…”
Not giving Bai Moliang the chance to speak, Yan Jinyi interrupted, “But etiquette only works on fellow humans. Why should I bother about etiquette with something of a different species?”
Bai Moliang’s handsome face instantly turned sullen. He chastised scornfully, “Miss Yan, please mind your words.”
“Huh? What do you mean, Mr. Bai? Did I swear or curse? Was I speaking inappropriately?”
Ordinary people can never outargue her.
Bai Moliang suddenly understood why Leng Yuxi would lose her temper everytime she saw Yan Jinyi.
“Is there any misunderstanding between you and Second Young Mistress Huo, Moliang?” Fu Borong interjected when he noticed that the two of them were on the verge of getting into an argument but he kept his gaze fixed on Yan Jinyi.
He found her interesting because it was the first time he had ever seen anyone insulting Bai Moliang.
The Bai family dealt in politics and was doing very well, so much that even Huo Xian had to be polite to Bai Moliang and his father.
‘Is this woman not afraid that she would completely offend the Bai family and get Huo Xishen in trouble?’
“Turns out you’re here, Miss Yan. I’ve been looking for you for a long time.” Tang Qing’s voice suddenly sounded at an untimely juncture.
The trio looked over in the direction of the source of the voice, only to see Tang Qing walking towards them domineeringly with a cigarette between his fingers.
He was wearing a suit, and several buttons of his shirt were undone while his tie was hanging loosely around his neck.
