Chapter 346: Shocking an Outer God
Chapter 346: Shocking an Outer God
He harmonized with the Resolute Expanse and observed the situation with his divine soul.
An entire fleet of enormous warships, bearing banners emblazoned with the four characters "Supreme Monad Divine Kingdom" sailed across the sky and headed straight toward the Cosmic Skies Continent.
Later that night, more warships descended from the sky. This time, they bore flags with the characters "Boundless Sky Divine Kingdom."
These warships of the three great Divine Kingdoms of the Eastern Land in the First World all carried elite soldiers and formidable generals.
The soldiers were dropped off at the Cosmic Skies and Dark Abyss Continents, and the warships fetched mortals and cultivators with low cultivation realms to the Second and First Worlds on their way back.
"The three great Divine Kingdoms are mobilizing at such scale and momentum. It\'s truly astonishing!"
"The foreign races don\'t stand a chance if the three great Divine Kingdoms are getting involved, right?"
"The Boundless Sky Divine Kingdom, the Supreme Monad Divine Kingdom, and the Primeval Pillar Divine Kingdom have many soldiers and generals, with a Divine King overseeing each kingdom! The foreign races in the lower worlds are nothing more than filthy rats living in dark gutters. I see no reason to fear them at all!"
"Exactly! We won\'t even need the sects to step in to sweep away the foreign races with the joined forces of the three Divine Kingdoms!"
"Let\'s keep a close eye on the situation. If the first battle is a landslide victory, we\'ll just step out and start sucking up to the Divine Kingdoms\' generals!"
The might of the Divine Kingdoms\' warships swayed many rogue cultivators.
They had initially planned to sit back and stay out of the conflict, but the involvement of the three great Divine Kingdoms had convinced them that victory was all but guaranteed.
Under such circumstances, it was unnecessary for them to stay hidden for long, and they were determined to reveal themselves when the time was right.
Fools.
Pang Jian smiled coldly and shook his head before establishing a connection with the Giant Abyssal Serpent.
The Giant Abyssal Serpent was accompanying Yu Xin of the Celestial Race to the Dong Clan\'s city in the Fourth World.
High-ranking Vicious Beasts, one-eyed giants, the Demon Scale Race, the Ghost Race, and many other foreign race warriors were also present.
Behind one of the Ghost Race warriors floated the hunched, black-robed Outer God Pang Jian had encountered in Absolute Heaven.
Ah Man, the one-eyed giant, stood towering like a steep mountain range with his single eye fixed on the Three Immortals Island above.
"Returning to our homeland..." he muttered under his breath.
A group of one-eyed giants roared and beat their chests in excitement, eager to rush into the Third World.
"Senior Ah Man," Yu Xin said, flying up to Ah Man\'s nose bridge and presenting an object to him. "The one you serve asked me to deliver this to you. He said you\'ll be better able to wield your power as the Ancestor of Ten Thousand Mountains with this item in hand."
"The Mountain Flipping Seal!" Ah Man\'s expression morphed into shock as he received the tiny amber seal. It was like a grain of rice in his palms. "This...this item has been lost for a thousand years! How could it...?"
"He found it," Yu Xin said with a smile.
"With this Mountain-Flipping Seal, I\'ll be able to stand my ground against the Thunder Dragon!" Ah Man exclaimed with excitement.
Boom!
His power surged into the amber seal and the mountains on the fragmented land seemed to shift.
Pang Jian\'s connection with the Giant Abyssal Serpent was abruptly severed.
He\'s a Rank Ten powerhouse! Pang Jian\'s face paled with shock.
Ah Man dared to challenge the ancient Thunder Dragon with the Mountain Flipping Seal. Such a thing only made sense if he was Rank Ten.
A Rank Ten foreign race warrior was equivalent in strength to a True God. No wonder the inhabitants of the Fifth World dared to ascend!
Ah Man came from the Fifth World, which housed seven continents. It was likely that others of his rank existed across the other continents as well.
The confidence of the foreign races did not make sense otherwise, as a single Fire God like Yan Lie was not enough to stand against the many True Gods in the First World.
"Those rogue cultivators are too naive," Pang Jian muttered with a sigh.
A few days later, Pang Jian was left disoriented after another failed attempt at comprehending the Lightning Dao Seals in the Thunder Pool with his divine soul.
"I wonder what\'s happening beyond the Abyss?" he murmured as he rubbed his forehead.
He retrieved the copper chest from his spatial bracelet and then used the black turtle scute to dive into the center of the Resolute Expanse with it before entering the chest.
The sky of the copper chest was adorned with shimmering stars and a brilliant moon.
Pang Jian gazed into the distant starry skies beyond the Abyss.
Since refining his divine soul, his perception had extended much further than before.
Despite this, no matter how far it stretched, it could not seem to touch the distant twinkling stars.
Eventually, he gave up.
The stars are probably like Winter or those spherical celestial bodies the apocalyptic lightning destroyed, Pang Jian thought. Perhaps foreign races live on them. They\'re so far from the Abyss that they appear small and are difficult to observe.
In the end, it\'s still easier to observe the moon.
Pang Jian shifted the focus of his divine soul.
Whoosh!
It felt like Pang Jian was soaring across the moon with his divine soul!
Unlike before, he could not only see the moon but even felt like he was physically present on it.
There was that Celestial Race man with twelve pairs of white wings... Pang Jian recalled, heading over to check on the body on the moon.
It was no longer there.
Someone\'s been here!
Startled, Pang Jian explored the moon\'s surface and soon spotted an abandoned white jade palace.
Dozens of warships belonging to the Bright Moon Race were docked next to the palace.
Pang Jian had seen similar warships in Absolute Heaven and had killed many Bright Moon Race warriors, allowing him to easily recognize them from a distance.
It seemed the Bright Moon Race had brought many skilled craftsmen to the moon and were working to restore the abandoned palace.
The Bright Moon Race members were unaware that someone in the Abyss was spying on them and happily chatted among themselves.
"This moon will soon be part of our Bright Moon Race\'s territory. Heh, a Moon God once died here and no new Gods have claimed it because of how desolate and remote this place is."
"Our Moon God wants to extend her divine might here. Since that\'s the case, this moon now belongs to the Bright Moon Race."
"Why would the Moon God descend to such a desolate place?"
"A Sun God has also gone to a nearby sun. If I recall correctly, this region is supposed to be a forbidden zone."
"Weird."
The craftsmen of the Bright Moon Race continued to chatter away.
Why do these foreign races consider the starry skies beyond the Abyss a forbidden zone? Pang Jian wondered as he eavesdropped. Perhaps only the Outer Gods know the Abyss is nearby. They probably gather at set times to hunt down the True Gods of the human race when they break free.
Pang Jian slowly approached the white jade palace.
Suddenly, a woman with a broad, smooth forehead appeared in the highest hall of the palace.
On her forehead were mysterious marks depicting the different phases of the moon.
The marks appeared to be natural and exuded a mystical charm.
Her breathtaking appearance was highlighted by her magnificent silver robe embellished with waxing and waning moons.
It was the soul projection of the Moon God.
Though this was not her true body, the presence of her soul projection alone was enough for the moon to become her divine domain. The moon was now her territory ruled under her divine law.
"So, Pang Jian, you can spy on the starry skies from within the Abyss." Her lips curled into a cold smile.
As soon as the words left her mouth, her will permeated the moon, sending chills down Pang Jian\'s spine.
Whoosh!
The Moon God revealed her true body.
Her ten-thousand-zhang-tall true body hovered above the white jade palace like another moon, radiating light upon all living beings and causing the surrounding stars to shine brighter.
The Bright Moon Race\'s craftsmen below paused their work and knelt in worship toward her.
They bowed respectfully and murmured apologies, believing the Moon God had revealed her true body due to her displeasure with their progress.
"Pang Jian!"
The Moon God unleashed a tidal wave of divine power like moonlight. Her will surged like a vast tide, sweeping across the moon, aiming to drag Pang Jian out of the shadows.
"I\'d like to see what you\'re using to spy at the starry skies! Pang Jian, you\'ve provoked me time and time again. You truly are—"
Pang Jian firmly shut his eyes and stopped gazing at the moon.
The Moon God\'s will disappeared.
Thud!
Pang Jian hastily climbed out of the copper chest and closed the lid with a grim expression.
A Sun God and Moon God have appeared just beyond the Abyss. What are they planning?
Are other Outer Gods also lurking outside?
Did the Outer Gods catch wind of some True God in the First World preparing to break through the barrier and come to prepare for the ambush?
Pang Jian\'s mind raced.
The bronze pendant hanging on his chest suddenly heated up.
It had been empty since the removal of the beehive and only contained endless bizarre mist.
Pang Jian was puzzled at the unexpected reaction from the bronze pendant.
Spiritual power can\'t penetrate it and even divine sense struggles to reach inside. I only caught a glimpse through the Bee Sovereign. But now, I\'ve refined my divine soul. I wonder...
Pang Jian\'s divine soul flew out from his brow and attempted to enter the pendant to investigate the cause of the heat.
Whoosh!
His divine soul slipped in effortlessly!
Inside, in the place where the beehive once floated, were seven needles. Nôv(el)B\\\\jnn
They glowed a faint pale blue.
These needles seemed to be the reason the pendant had heated up.
Pang Jian observed the needles with his divine soul and quickly realized they resembled the ice shards corresponding to the glaciers within the Heart of Winter.
Upon closer inspection, the seven needles appeared to be extremely miniaturized versions of the seven Heaven Ascension Tribulation Pillars!
