Chapter 26 - The Female Ghost - You Don't Know, I Was Extremely Afraid at the Time!
“You’re singing pretty well, though not quite as good as me when I’m in the shower,” Zhang Beixuan commented, giving a thumbs-up.
He looked at the firmly locked bathroom door.
Bam!
Without a second thought, Zhang Beixuan kicked the door open with a tremendous noise. It seemed to startle the girl inside as the sound of running water and the singing abruptly stopped. Even the previously lit light dimmed instantaneously as if everything that had just happened was an illusion.
“Don’t be afraid, young lady ghost. I’m a good person. Come out, and let’s have a chat. I promise not to harm you,” Zhang Beixuan decided to offer her a chance.
Who kicks open the door to the women’s bathroom in the middle of the night and calls themselves a good person? There was silence in the bathroom.
“Come out quickly. I need to talk to you,” Zhang Beixuan said as he entered the bathroom. He surveyed the individual stalls one by one.
Inside one of the stalls, the face of a young girl turned somewhat pale as she heard the approaching footsteps. Each step seemed to fall heavily on her heart.
“Could this guy be a pervert?”
The girl couldn’t help but tremble involuntarily, along with a terrifying thought that crossed her mind. But then, she paused.
Wait a minute. Haven’t I already died? What’s there to fear from a pervert? What pervert could be scarier than a ghost?
As this realization struck her, an eerie smile appeared on her face. With a defeated hand, she pushed her stall’s door open ever so slightly.
“Hehehe… young man, are you looking for me?” She asked, her voice accompanied by a strange tone and a sinister smile.
The chilling laughter and her strange tone would be enough to terrify most people. However, an excited voice came from outside before she could fully open the door.
“Yes! I’m looking for you!”n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
In the next moment, a strong hand grabbed her wrist firmly.
“Come out quickly. This space is too small. I can’t unleash my abilities here.”
“Too small? Can’t unleash your abilities?” The girl’s eyes widened in disbelief.
Why is he in such a hurry? Doesn’t he know I’m taking a shower and not wearing any clothes? Could he be thinking of doing that to me? But I’m just a corpse! There’s a clear distinction between the living and the dead. Humans shouldn’t, or at least, they shouldn’t…
Isn’t Ning Caichen stuff only found in novels?
The girl was getting scared again. She had an instinctual urge to retreat. She had a premonition that something horrifying might happen once she was pulled out. However, in the face of that large hand, her strength was like that of a little chick. “Let go of me! Or I’ll scream for help!”
Seeing that she was about to be dragged out, the girl couldn’t help but scream, “Help!”
“Scream all you want. I, Dao Lord, love to hear people scream,” the voice from outside continued.
“What in the world? Am I really encountering a demon here?”
The feeling of her arm being torn apart made the girl feel like her limb was about to be ripped off. “I’ll fight you!” She knew that if she didn’t fight with all her might, she might be torn apart by this guy in front of her. The Yin energy within her began to surge. The girl’s nails, sharp as knives, lunged towards Zhang Beixuan’s chest. At such close quarters, she was confident she could pierce the man’s heart. However, as she had imagined, the sensation of her nails tearing through flesh and skin never occurred.
Crack!
With a muffled sound, a piercing pain accompanied by a tingling sensation shot through her fingers.
So hard!
That was the girl’s first thought.
“I mean, ghost girl, aren’t you too hasty? I’m still wearing clothes,” Zhang Beixuan said, bemused, as he looked at her.
With a puzzled look, she raised her head and saw a young Daoist smiling inquisitively.
“Since you can’t wait, let me help you.” A hammer made of condensed golden light appeared as he spoke in Zhang Beixuan’s hand.
He swung the hammer towards her without hesitation, unleashing the terrifying power within the golden hammer. The girl’s face filled with fear as she felt the overwhelming force of the golden hammer.
“You foul Daoist, just you wait! My master will kill you!”
Hearing the girl’s threat, Zhang Beixuan remained completely unfazed.
“I’ll keep your words in mind.”
Boom!
The girl’s body was smashed to pieces by the hammer.
“Ding! Congratulations to the host for earning 300 points.”
The system’s notification sounded in Zhang Beixuan’s mind, and he received 300 points.
Without pausing, Zhang Beixuan continued to the next floor. Outside the school gate at this moment, Chen Linhai got out of the car and walked briskly over to a middle-aged man, greeting him with a smile.
“Captain Xu, I didn’t expect you to come in person. It’s truly an honor.”
“It seems that the paranormal events at our school are finally going to be resolved!”
Xu Ming shook hands with Chen Linhai. “Don’t flatter me, Director Chen. Didn’t someone already take on your school’s reward?”
Upon hearing this, Chen Linhai was momentarily puzzled. Xu Ming noticed his lack of response and became curious.
“No one came to handle the issue at your school before?”
Chen Linhai thought of Zhang Beixuan and nodded, “Yes, there was someone, a Daoist in his twenties…”
“Right, that’s the one! I saw him enter your school, and he seemed to have a good relationship with a female student. Your school is really lucky to have such a divine figure associated with it. I envy you a lot,” Xu Ming remarked.
Xu Ming’s face also broke into a smile. Hearing this, Chen Linhai, with his intelligence, could hardly remain clueless. He was somewhat shocked.
“Captain Xu, are you saying Daoist is a formidable expert?”
“Naturally.”
“In comparison to you, how does he fare?”
“In comparison to me?”
Xu Ming’s mind flashed back to the scenes he had witnessed a few days ago, along with the image of Zhang Beixuan pointing his finger like a thunderbolt on the bus. He couldn’t help but shiver and waved his hand.
“Director Chen, please don’t joke with me. My level of strength isn’t even fit to tie that Daoist’s shoelaces.”
