Chapter 415: Leisure Studio is fighting the boss

Li Yao handed her a bottle of grape wine, stating, “Once we pass this mountaintop, we’ll arrive.”

Big Sister Li looked at the map, commenting, “According to the map, we are still on the coastline after crossing this region. I see no difference though. Given the long coastline of this sandbar, why must we come to this segment?”

“I’ve studied the information released by Shadow Dance’s Assassin Hall. Here resides a kind of Poison Arrow Frog, and a unique terrain that would not only allow us to level up but also let me collect toxin materials as preparation for the Hydra’s evolution,” Li Yao explained.

“Oh, I see. Then let’s speed it up. The players over there should have left by now, and will probably not spot us,” Big Sister Li suggested.

“Indeed, they have already departed.” Although the Fire Eagle couldn’t participate in battles, it was pretty competent in reconnaissance.

Along the way, Li Yao managed to steer clear of all players, mainly because there were too many players keeping an eye on Starfire Guild now. It wouldn’t matter if they were spotted by average players, but if the guild players received the news, they would continuously harass them.

After weighing the pros and cons, Li Yao decided to let the Hydra evolve into the Snake of Poison in the second order, finally choosing this place based on vague memory. He knew that here a highly practical toxic-resistant accessory was produced, noted for its excellent quality.

Li Yao didn’t particularly value accessories or orbs that resisted toxins, but if he acquired one, it would be significant assistance.

The most important thing was that, besides producing excellent toxin materials, this place facilitated leveling, and therefore, Li Yao ultimately chose to come here.

The duo climbed another mountaintop and observing the situation below, Big Sister Li frowned and said, “A guild is leveling up here. I don’t know which guild it is. Have they also discovered the situation you mentioned?”

Shaking his head, Li Yao answered, “Impossible, they lack the strength. Besides, they aren’t killing Poison Arrow Frogs.”

Just like Murlocs, Poison Arrow Frogs are rampant in the Ancient God World; traces of them can even be found in many valleys and the seashore. However, dealing with Poison Arrow Frogs can be troublesome without any resistance to poison. The payoff isn’t particularly high either, hence not many players tend to bother them.

“Good, but won’t they interfere with our leveling up?”

Big Sister Li wasn’t being overly anxious. If Li Yao’s method happened to be exposed, the crowd would undoubtedly seize it.

Having dodged so many players, they hadn’t expected to find someone leveling up in such a remote area.

“No worries, it’s an old friend.” A smile crept over Li Yao’s face.

The two walked in, and Big Sister Li got a clear view of the guild’s icon—it was actually the Wanderers Studio.

“Is this your old friend?”

Li Yao laughed and said, “The first guild I conned and messed with—I naturally have a deep impression.”

In the beginning, in the mine, the Third Brother Wanderer led his second team to snatch Li Yao’s Boss, ending up getting counter-tricked and wiped out entirely.

Later, during the pioneer expedition to Faselin Academy, they dispatched rogues intending to disrupt Li Yao’s pioneer expedition. However, Li Yao not only killed those sneaky rogues but also killed Third Brother Wanderer once again.

Although there had been no direct contact afterwards, the Wanderers Studio constantly spoke enthusiastically about Starfire’s threat.

Subsequently, the Wanderers Studio was often involved in the covert attacks Li Yao faced.

However, with the establishment of the Starfire Guild, Li Yao wasn’t his singular self anymore. Plus, the Ancient God was just too vast, and Li Yao’s whereabouts were elusive. The Wanderers Studio had to make a profit too.

Consequently, it was impossible to waste too many resources dealing with Starfire or Li Yao, which led to a temporary ceasefire.

But no one would forget this not-so-pleasant memory shared by the two parties—the Wanderers Studio bore the brunt of a severe loss due to Li Yao’s tactics. Not only did Third Brother Wanderer face humiliation, but the Wanderers Studio was gravely affected too. That Dragon Eagle spell had left a deep impression of Li Yao on the Wanderers Studio.

Similarly, Li Yao wasn’t one with a short temper either. Naturally, he felt thrilled to see an old friend.

“You indeed have many friends,” Big Sister Li chuckled sardonically, making a note of their unexpected encounter.

“If we start fighting later, you should be careful.” Saying this, Li Yao ambled towards them.

“Stop! Wanderers Studio is doing business here, please make a detour, you can come tomorrow,” a warrior coldly instructed.

“What a coincidence, Starfire Guild is doing a guild mission here today, so we’ve claimed this place. You’d better scram,” Li Yao replied with a smile.

A female mage next to the warrior held back her furious companion and said, “Pal, there are so many places to level up in the Ancient God, why bother fighting? Indeed, we, the Wanderers Studio, are doing a mission here. We will probably leave in an hour. Furthermore, as far as I know, the people from the Starfire Guild aren’t leveling up here. If you want to lie, at least come up with a plausible excuse. We do have a bone to pick with the president of Starfire, but we are not hostile presently. We are just ordinary merchants, there’s no point in stirring up trouble.”

“What if I have to pass today?” Li Yao said indifferently.

“You’re clearly picking a fight. Don’t stop me. Let me teach him a lesson. Just because he has a pretty woman by his side doesn’t mean he can act like a hero anytime he likes,” the warrior retorted furiously, also gesturing to his teammates who came for backup.

“Right, I am indeed picking a fight. The Wanderers Studio now has two choices—either get out of here immediately or I’ll kill you all,” Li Yao threatened.

Big Sister Li was lost for words, for it seemed like they were the bad guys, even though the opponents had evidently cornered them.

“Damn, you’re overestimating yourself, aren’t you? Come on, let’s have a one-on-one if you dare. I’ll let you attack first. Otherwise, you won’t even have a chance to strike,” the warrior taunted arrogantly, also considering himself an expert among ordinary players.

If it were an ordinary player, he would either be furious or go all in.

But his eyes couldn’t help but linger on Big Sister Li. Even though her face was veiled, her alluring figure had drawn his attention. He couldn’t resist wanting to teach Li Yao a lesson and disgrace him.

Li Yao initially lost interest as the Fire Eagle’s perspective revealed that the Wanderers Studio was fighting a boss. But the warrior’s braggadocio entertainment amused him—this guy was really funny.

“Alright, let’s have a game.” Li Yao calmly pulled out his Fire Gun.

“Good, come on, attack first, or else you won’t even have the chance to make a move,” the warrior ridiculed.

The others chuckled and retreated a bit. Guarding this place was quite boring, and they welcomed some entertainment. Most of them dismissed and criticized Li Yao while speculating how many minutes he could withstand in the warrior’s hands.

They were all confident. Of course, they had their reasons. Even though they hardly sought glory, their prowess was universally recognized in the Coliseum. Otherwise, they wouldn’t maintain a firm grip on the high-end market…
