MMORPG: Divine Mech Hunter

Chapter 235: Making Death God (I want Jin Jin the cutest main character to add more 5/10)

)

After Li Yao and the others had left, he made a trip to the warehouse to collect copper ingots and other necessary materials, then began the crafting process.

In relative terms, the crafting of the Death God 4000 was somewhat challenging, particularly when it came to the key parts, especially the weapon.

Iron ingots were absolutely needed. At present, iron ore was incredibly rare to find, and the players’ levels still weren’t high enough to access iron mines.

Just gathering iron ore wasn’t yielding enough, Li Yao often browsed the auction house in search of iron ore, however, the returns were meager.

At the moment, it was only meeting the crafting requirements for the weapon. According to Li Yao’s plans, he wanted to craft the Death God 4000 purely from iron ore, but harsh realities forbade it. Left with no other options, Li Yao had to make do with what he had.

As for the Mechanical Core, Li Yao managed to purchase a decent one from the auction house.

In terms of workload, crafting the shell of the Death God 4000 was much more complex compared to the Fire Hawk, and the Death God 4000 incorporated a double armor design.

However, thanks to the tools provided by Trade Viscount, the work efficiency and accuracy were somewhat elevated.

Meanwhile, as Li Yao was crafting a puppet, the Starfire Guild had also selected a few substitutes.

All of these people were rigorously screened on their reactions, skills, and equipment by some of the older members of the guild.

Two spots opened up for healers, while the Guardian Knight donned heavy armor, becoming a cumbersome Heavy Armor Priest, taking on the role of the secondary tank and tertiary healer.

Happiness is an Illness took over Li Yao’s position, his Hunter skills were reasonable. The new recruit, Mu Zi, who demonstrated extraordinary damage output last time, also effortlessly became a substitute.

The core team of the Starfire Guild also began the pioneering task. They started off quite smoothly, the minor monsters were unable to impede their progress.

The first boss, however, was indeed powerful, causing them to be wiped out twice. However, on the third try, the Guardian Angel adapted from a support role to a tank role.

They managed to defeat the first boss on their third attempt which significantly boosted the guild’s morale.

Once the battle report was posted online, it immediately captured the attention of the other guilds.

The second boss also led to several defeats, but it too was ultimately defeated.

During the battle, the Punching Priest demonstrated an exceptional power. Despite just being accompanied by one healer, he was able to hold off so many monsters using the side room.

With each monster attack, a holy thunder would spread in front of him causing more damage the more attack he received.

In contrast, his health kept rising akin to a bug. Accompanied by the healer, his health always remained in a safe range.

After familiarizing with the rhythm of the second boss and no longer having to worry about minor monsters, coupled with the members getting used to the rhythm of Arrow Rain, the second boss was defeated around midnight.

Currently, most guilds were stuck on the minor monsters for the third boss. Only a small number of guilds were progressing on the third boss.

But the Dream Space was truly disgusting. All the teams were futilely respawning again and again in there, unable to pass at all.

The core team of the Starfire Guild also faced the same issues due to a lack of output from Li Yao.

They also couldn’t surmount this obstacle. The output from Sister Li and the others was just enough for them to protect themselves. By the time they had managed to get out, it was too late to rescue the other team members.

However, the core team of Starfire Guild also fell into this awkward repeating cycle of failing against the ultimate boss.

While Li Yao was busy crafting his puppet, Sister Li contacted him. Li Yao was helpless in this scenario, it was an issue of inadequate equipment which could only be solved over time.

So he suggested that they give up the pioneering task and instead focus on leveling up in elite mode.

But Sister Li rejected it. Sister Li believed that even if they didn’t pass, the experience would forge the team’s unity.

Li Yao didn’t comment further. Sister Li did have a valid point, since all the new guild members were still unfamiliar with each other, raiding dungeons together was the best way to build relations.

Finally, they were not able to defeat the boss after a night’s worth of tries, much to the relief of many large guilds.

However, the morale in Starfire remained high. They were all aware that their formidable guild leader hadn’t participated in the activity, yet they managed to catch up to several days’ worth of progress by other major guilds over a single night.

Coupled with the equipment flaunted by their substitutes, the guild’s morale was significantly boosted.

Becoming a substitute was also within their grasp and coupled with the guild’s plentiful guild warehouse and their pioneering potential aligned with large guilds, many people genuinely settled down.

The first two hundred plus people to join the guild leveled up. While they held no actual power, they had become old members.

At the break of dawn, the guild channel was bustling with activity, with all kinds of teams being formed for guild quests.

Two things provided them significant motivation, one was the Skill Rune, a sight unseen in other guild warehouses. The other was the Stationed Agreement, once they reached level three, they would have their own guild base.

The assembly of Li Yao’s Death God 4000 was in its final stages. By noon, with red eyes from fatigue, Li Yao finally completed the Death God 4000.

It was due to Li Yao realizing the massive workload and calling over Candy, who didn’t like to be fed candy, that the work was completed by noon.

“Master, you’re really incredible. How come there’s such a big difference between us when we’re both at the intermediate engineering level? Am I really that dumb?” Candy admired and envied her master, yet suddenly felt insecure.

“You’re already impressive. You’re just a young girl but you have learned to be confident, understand? And I am not just flattering you, your performance yesterday was remarkable.” Li Yao never dispensed praise without reason, the girl learned things too quickly, often performing practicely after the first instruction.

“Really?” Candy’s eyes lit up.

“Of course it’s true. Also, your proficiency in engineering decides what specific blueprints you can learn, but being able to create many things with mere blueprints is not enough. I hope you understand. You’re doing great, and soon you’ll be on par with me,” Li Yao encouraged.

“So, can I work here for you, Master? The tools here are better than the ones I rent, and I’m sure the attributes of the items I make here will be better than before.” Candy asked hesitantly.

“Sure, you’re already part of the guild. When I’m not around, you’re in charge of this lab.” Li Yao replied.

“Thank you, Master.” Candy was immediately excited and began to hop around happily.

“Work diligently, in a couple of days some newcomers will come for you to guide them. You’ll be the vice-captain of the guild’s engineering team, your salary and other things will be adjusted, Sister Li will talk to you about it.”

“Me? Can I?” Candy’s face was filled with surprise.

“Confidence, confidence, I just told you. Alright, you continue your work, I have to go.” Li Yao patted her head and exited, this girl had great potential and was worth cultivating.

“Mu Zi and his team have found a special boss, are we going to kill it?” Sister Li was heard saying through their communication link…
