Chapter 533: 527: Get Lost

“…Alright, back to the topic, this isn’t the main point. What’s more, when I saw the car drive away, I suddenly remembered something. You might have seen it on social media where some drivers accidently hit luxury cars and subsequently face horrific compensation amounts, leading to bankruptcy. This is something a lot of people have encountered. So, whenever they see a luxury car on the road, they panic and try to keep their distance.”

“But seeing the Goddess of Light car, I suddenly thought; in the future, you won’t have to worry about this. You can examine it up close, and if you don’t mind damaging your own car, you can even hit the accelerator and rear-end it from behind. This way, you might just get to meet the world’s richest man, Prodigal.”

“We all know about the crash test video on the Goddess of Light official website. It can withstand little collision. Prodigal’s car can even resist a tank. So, everyone, you don’t have to worry anymore. If you want a meet-cute, just crash into Prodigal’s car when you see it. You only have to worry about your own repair costs.”

After reading the message shared on social media, Finn Lewis was pissed. I mean come on, who does this? Most importantly, why has such content been reshared more than 100,000 times? Fishy Wells has also received this message in her feed. Even she knows how far this post has spread.

But damn it, this guy does make some good points. Finn Lewis looked out the window and wondered if anyone was crazy enough to do it. Fishy Wells and Kay Lee, who were sitting in front, couldn’t help but laugh at seeing his face turning green with worry.

Bloody hell, the person who thought of this is a real genius. Fortunately, the madness Finn Lewis was worried about didn’t happen. Both convoys arrived safely at the designated hotel.

Mr. Humphrey’s wedding hotel isn’t in the city but at a manor in the suburbs, which specializes in outdoor weddings. Due to the increasing popularity of Federal-style weddings in China, more and more couples prefer having their wedding ceremonies on the lawns and then having their banquet in the hotel’s main hall.

Hence, hotels like these have become popular. Upon reaching their destination, the two car teams temporarily parked in nearby car parks. The car park is not far from the hotel, but it was reserved entirely for them with no other vehicles present.

When Finn Lewis arrived, Daniel Pan had just informed Mr. Humphrey about the information they discovered. Upon seeing the evidence, Mr. Humphrey, who was already quite fragile, clenched his fists so hard that his knuckles turned white, his face grave.

“Is this information reliable?” Mr. Humphrey looked at Daniel Pan and asked in a low voice.

“Yes, it is. We have been to the hospital and even bribed a doctor to get these documents.” Daniel Pan replied then placed a reassuring hand on Mr. Humphrey’s shoulder and asked, “We just got these, what should we do now?”

“I’ll talk to her.” Mr. Humphrey took a moment before heading towards the bride, Faye Shepherd who was in the distance. Watching his retreating figure, Daniel Pan expressed his concern, “Won’t there be any problems? Mr. Humphrey seemed off.”

“Of course he is, never underestimate a quiet person. When they explode, they won’t leave any room for you to recover.” Peak Blair replied shaking his head.

“We should follow him to make sure nothing happens. That woman is pregnant after all. Even though the child has nothing to do with Mr. Humphrey, but just in case something happens, it could turn into a catastrophe.” Callum quickly voiced his concerns.

“Let’s go.” Daniel Pan agreed immediately, and the three of them quickly joined David Hale.

“Faye Shepherd, I have a few questions for you.” David Hale found the bride chatting with a few friends and asked calmly.

“What questions?” Faye Shepherd turned towards David Hale impatiently.

“Did you get close to me to establish a connection with my friend, Finn Lewis?” David Hale ignored Faye Shepherd’s friends and asked directly.

“What are you saying?” Caught off guard, Faye Shepherd’s face changed.

“I asked if you befriended me to get to know my friend, Finn Lewis?” David Hale repeated the question.

“David Hale, what are you trying to say? Today is our wedding day. Are you trying to cause trouble?” Faye Shepherd’s face turned ugly and she asked in a lowered voice.

“I asked, is it true!” David Hale’s voice suddenly escalated.

Faye Shepherd glanced around, as the guest area was a distance away, nobody had heard their conversation. Her friends also found excuses to leave. It was clear this was a personal matter.

Once her friends had left, Faye Shepherd’s face turned ugly, she suppressed her anger and said in a low tone: “What if it is true! Are you saying Finn Lewis is still your friend? Our wedding is supposed to start at 10 a.m. right? Where is your so-called friend now? I was blind to have even bothered with you. Get out of my way! And I’m telling you, don’t cause a scene today!”

“Very well! Next question, who is the father of the child you are carrying?” David Hale’s face remained calm but his tone became colder.

Faye Shepherd hesitated for a moment, then her voice became shrill and louder as she said indignantly, “David Hale, what the hell do you mean by that? I married you, I’m unfortunate enough, and you’re suspecting this and that! Are you trying to provoke me? I’m warning you, if you continue to cause trouble, I won’t marry you today.”
