Chapter 99: Just Shut Up!

Ark was about to go and sit on the second floor when he realised the actual reason that the second floor was pretty quiet. It was for nobles only, without proof of nobility, you could forget ever sitting on the second floor. Ark was a little dejected since he liked it when it was a little quieter, but he just turned around and sat down at a nearby table.

"Hmph, that\'s right, commoners should know their place!" The sound of multiple footsteps appeared closely behind Ark. He turned around to look and saw the visages of multiple young men, as well as two young women. The men could be considered a bit above average, and the women were fairly good-looking, but there was nothing more to them.

It was obvious for all to see that these people were nothing but arrogant nobles.

As Ark turned around to look at them, they were quite stunned, this dude didn\'t look like a commoner at all! Judging by his clothes and looks, there was no way he could be a commoner, the clothes he wore were even more expensive than their own.

If another person that had read web novels saw this scenario Ark was in, they would take it for a perfectly normal face-smacking scene! Ark had not read any web novels though, at least not any that contained face-smacking, and even if he did, he couldn\'t care less. Why would he go out of his way to create trouble just for the sake of some shitty pride?

Ark wasn\'t a pushover though, and if he did nothing, then these people would surely pester him to no end.

Since that was the case, Ark just released a burst of his contained aura, and the young nobles were frightened out of their wits. Considering how they grew up sheltered like a flower in a greenhouse, they had never face such an aura before. Ark\'s hair flew gently in the air, almost like it was suspended in zero gravity, looking mysterious and ethereal.

His eyes glowed with bright light, and his surroundings were being pressed down by his heavy aura.

"Just shut up!"

The nobles quickly scurried up to the second floor of the cafe, and Ark contained his aura again. Everyone in the surroundings looked at him with both fear and admiration. Nobles usually bullied commoners like themselves, but seeing someone scare away the nobles for once was quite the refreshing sight.

Ark ordered some weird cake he found on the menu that laid on the table and then ate it quietly by himself.

The cafe deserved its reputation, the cake was truly something extraordinary, and Ark was very pleased with himself after eating his fill. Since he had nothing better to do, Ark decided to check his status for the first time in quite a while.

Seeing his status for the first time in a while, Ark was a little taken aback. He had managed to level up 7 times, which was almost to be expected since he had killed numerous people as well as a Scarlet Lion that was level 75. He also noticed that his spear mastery had levelled up to Intermediate level 2, which was supposedly a significant leap in strength.

Even though he wanted to test it out, he was currently in a cafe, and if he suddenly conjured up a spear out of nothing, then he would also create trouble out of nothing at the same time.

Ark got a great idea when he saw his status as well. Since he had been planning to rest for a while, he could take the opportunity to level up his new body refining skill, and just laze about at the same time. This would also make him a lot stronger in comparison to his level since he would get stronger whilst not getting any levels.

Ark also noticed that a lot of skills that he had completely forgotten had levelled up as well. He had no idea why skills such as herculean strength took so long to level up, he had been using his strength pretty often after all.

He didn\'t ponder too much about it though, it wouldn\'t help him in any way, shape or form to worry about something which he couldn\'t do anything to change. His 35 status points still just sat there and waited for him to use them, and Ark didn\'t wait long before he assigned them.

Since he had his cheat-like body refining skill, Ark invested 25 points into intelligence whilst putting the rest into wisdom.

Putting points into his physical stats would be the epitome of wasting points, and Ark wasn\'t stupid enough to do it. After being enveloped by a white light for a couple of seconds, Ark realised he was in the middle of a cafe, and curious stares kept stabbing at his body. When Ark was just about to leave, he overheard a very interesting conversation.

"Did you hear about what happened in the Estridsen Kingdom?" A burly man asked his companion sitting in front of him.

"Hmm, I don\'t think so, why? Did something big happen?"

"You know how they made such a big deal out of their summoned heroes not too long ago right? Well, as it turns out, one of them is supposed to be beheaded 2 months from now!"

"You serious? Wtf, what happened?" The burly man\'s companion was both shocked and interested.

"I think he disobeyed the king and tried to run away or something, he was charged for treason."

Ark was listening intently, and as if the Gods were trying to play a joke, a very familiar scroll suddenly materialised in front of him...
