Chapter 989: Wind, Gale, and Tempest

Chapter 989: Wind, Gale, and Tempest

Fortunately, the man Valyr contacted did not take long to respond even though it was still early in the morning, prompting the young man to inwardly let out a sigh of relief.

Asking a few more questions regarding other materials he would need to forge the armor to Julian, Valyr spared a bit of his attention towards Tristan, who seemed to be absentmindedly looking all around the workshop while he was doing his own thing.

Though, the man unsurprisingly stopped once Valyr asked for his attention.

"Say, Tristan. I don\'t know if what I\'ve heard about Myst back then was correct..." said the young man with a slightly uncertain expression. "But she aims to become the fastest sword user, right?"

Blanking out for a bit, it was only after a while did the man respond to the question, letting out a faint chuckle as he nodded. "That\'s still the case, yep."

"Though she\'s taken on a more offensive approach to fighting the monsters during the tide thanks to her subclass, she still yearns to become the fastest sword user there is," said the man, only to shrug soon after.

"Or at least, that\'s what I\'ve getting from her after she told me those same words some years ago."

"Alright." Seeing that his memory had not failed him, Valyr inwardly let out yet another sigh of relief as he confirmed all of the materials he\'d need from Julian. "I have the right blueprint for an armor set in mind, then."

At those words, Tristan merely nodded in response before becoming silent, letting the young man do what he needed to do.

Of course, it was an entirely different story on the inside, with the man incredibly curious as to what kind of armor set the young man planned on forging.

Naturally, he also wondered if it was possible for him to learn the blueprint for the armor set as well, hoping he could outfit everyone defending the town later on.

"From the combination of materials you\'re asking me to send to you, I\'m getting the feeling that you\'re forging a set of armor," said Julian through one of his messages to Valyr. "Is someone asking you to forge something for them?"

"Something like that," replied the young man, giving the man a rough explanation of the upcoming tide in Astarto Town. "Feel free to deduct all of the merit points necessary to have all of the materials I asked for delivered."

"Now that I think about it, I might need a couple of blueprints from the guild as well," added the young man in another message.

In response to that, Julian went silent for a bit, causing the young man to go through a couple of scenarios in his mind out of nervousness.

However, none of those scenarios ever came to fruition as the man sent back his reply a couple minutes later. "Since it\'s for the sake of helping a town defend against a monster tide, consider this delivery a way for the Blacksmith Guild to support the cause."

"And before you say otherwise, Astarto Town\'s Blacksmith Guild has contributed more than enough to the war efforts for me to warrant this action," added Julian not long after, prompting Valyr to wryly smile as he felt that his mind was read at that moment.

"Anyways, what blueprints do you need? With your current level of authority within the guild, even sending a high-tier blueprint wouldn\'t be much of a problem."

"Wind Wolf Armor," wrote Valyr in his reply as his expression exuded a firm conviction. "As well as its higher-tiered variants, if possible."

"Hmm..." Though silence befell the chat between Julian and Valyr once more after that, Julian eventually gave Valyr the news he wanted to hear.

"Yeah, we can do that."

"Wind Wolf Armor, huh... so that\'s why you asked for those materials." Reading these words on his chat screen, Valyr could imagine Julian letting out laughter.

"It would be more efficient to craft the higher-tier variants from the get-go, but I do have ideas of what you\'re planning to do."

"In any case, everything you requested will arrive there in around half an hour at the latest. Though, it\'ll only take a quarter of an hour."

"Thank you." At those words, Valyr soon ended the conversation before giving Tristan a heads-up on the delivery he was going to get.

In response, Tristan stood up and made his way out of the workshop for the meantime, telling Valyr that he would pick up the items he\'d requested and deliver it to him as soon as possible.

With that, the young man was soon left in his own thoughts, prompting him to think about the Wind Wolf Armor he was going to forge.

As far as he could remember, Wind Wolf Armor was the go-to armor for early-game players, especially for those that focused on speed like rangers and assassins.

Aside from having a great cost to performance ratio when commissioned from a blacksmith, the parts making up the entire set of Wind Wolf Armor also dropped in a few dungeons that had a Wind Wolf as their boss monster.

With a bit of enhancement and refinement, Wind Wolf Armor would remain usable up until one was at the peak of Rank 2, especially if one was lucky enough to get a set that was at least

Rare grade.

However, once one entered Rank 3 and came into contact with the existence of Intents, Wind Wolf Armor would start to lag behind, prompting some of those players to drop their set and change it out for a better set.

Fortunately, the Blacksmith Guild had ways for one\'s Wind Wolf Armor to still be usable for their current levels, which was upgrading it with better materials.

Similar to how Valyr upgraded his Half Wyvern Armor into the powerful True Wyvern Armor, Wind Wolf Armor could be reworked and improved twice, the first of which was called Gale

Wolf Armor.

Being a higher-tiered version of Wind Wolf Armor, Gale Wolf Armor still had all of the benefits wearing a set of Wind Wolf Armor had, but was cranked up by a couple notches.

Because of that, some players who had Gale Wolf Armor were able to make use of it even after they\'d reach the peak of Rank 4 as an Epic, with a couple even making use of it after they were

Rank 5.

Fortunately, there was still a better version beyond the Gale Wolf Armor, which was the Tempest Lupus Armor.

Though it was slightly expensive for a player to upgrade their Wind Wolf Armor to Tempest Lupus Armor, many have said that it was the best decision they\'ve made after getting their

hands on it.

As to why, it was because Tempest Lupus Armor...

Was known as the one of the best sets of speed-focused armor for early Myth-level players.
