Chapter 268: 267 Whatever conditions, all fulfilled

Wen Ran agreed.

He walked to the door, then turned back for a deep, lingering look at her before striding away.

Wen Ran didn’t know what he was thinking, but she didn’t regret telling him about the past. Perhaps, MO Zixuan couldn’t recall those incidents immediately but he at least knew that there were certain things he had forgotten.

Xiao Wenqing and that man called Wu Tianyi were in cahoots. Over the years, she had schemed and scrounged from MS Group for his benefit. No matter how much animosity existed between MO Zixuan and MO Xiuchen, they were at the end of the day, both from the MO family.

She couldn’t allow him to aid outsiders in their detrimental pursuits against the MO family.

Wen Ran took another sip of her coffee and was about to get up and leave when her phone rang.

At the sound of the ringing, a smile shimmered in her eyes. She took out her phone and pressed the answer button. Her voice, light and tender, flowed from her lips, “Hello, MO Xiuchen.”

Outside the coffee shop, in the parking lot, MO Zixuan opened his car door.

Before climbing in, he turned his head and saw through the glass window Wen Ran sitting and talking on the phone, her eyes filled with laughter, warm as the autumn sun.

He moistened his lips and bent over to get into the car.

“Are you still busy? Take a break. Ah Mu called just now and said he’d be back tomorrow.”

MO Xiuchen’s voice, as warming and refreshing as the autumn sun, seeped into her ears. A gentle smile bloomed on Wen Ran’s face as she read between his lines. It meant that she would be his secretary from tomorrow onwards.

Perhaps, his actual motive was not just about her company for the week.

Rather, he intended to keep her by his side all the time, always with him.

Teasing him, Wen Ran said, “He’s on a business trip for the pharmaceutical factory now, yet he informed you first. It sounds like something a spy would do. ”

“Haha, he didn’t reveal any information. He just asked me if his mother had left. I told him she had, and then he said he’d be back tomorrow.”

MO Xiuchen laughed heartily on the other end of the phone. His euphonious laugh was charming. Wen Ran couldn’t see his smiling face, but she could imagine him laughing, handsome and captivating.

“I’ll talk to my brother in a bit, let’s see if he agrees.”

The pharmaceutical factory still needed her. Of course, Wen Ran wouldn’t just consider her own convenience and disregard her brother’s efforts.

“If he’s not willing, let me know, and I’ll talk to him. No matter what conditions he sets, I’ll satisfy them.”

MO Xiuchen’s words sounded soft and gentle, but in actuality, they were dominant and assertive. It was clear that he had made up his mind about Wen

Ran.

“Let’s not. I’ll talk to my brother myself. I’m afraid if you talk to him, it’ll turn into a quarrel.”

Clearly, MO Xiuchen’s jealousy at the hospital last time left a shadow in Wen Ran’s heart, and it surfaced every so often.

MO Xiuchen paused slightly and chuckled apologetically, “Ranran, don’t worry.

I won’t quarrel with your brother. I’ll yield to him.”

In the end, he added another phrase that nullified his earlier apologetic tone.

“No more talking, I’m hanging up now.”

Wen Ran didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at his words. He actually said he’d yield to her brother. It sounded like two children squabbling over a toy.

When Wen Ran returned to the pharmaceutical factory, she went straight to Wen Jin’s office.

Behind the broad blackwood desk, he was concentrating intensely on a medicine in his hand, not even noticing the sound of the door opening.

“Brother! ”

Wen Ran called out with a smile, her steps brisk as she approached him.

Wen Jin looked up, a hint of a smile on his handsome face, he asked softly,

“Ranran, what brings you here? Did you finish your work?”

With a slight lift of her delicate eyebrows, Wen Ran replied proudly, “Of course I finished. I also brought you some afternoon tea. Take a break and have something to eat.”

As she was speaking, she lifted the bag in her hand. Surprised, Wen Jin looked at her, then broke into a doting smile, “Ranran, you’re the best.”

“Right now, you think I’m good, but once you find a wife, you’ll probably think she’s better than me. Ah, you must hurry up and find me a sister-in-law. That way, I won’t have to worry about these things anymore.”

As Wen Ran chattered on, she placed the snacks and drinks on his desk.

Since Wen Jin’s mobility was limited, she had him sit in his office chair and eat something.

Wen Jin glared at her, “Are you really that eager to get rid of me, always so eager to marry me off?”

Wen Ran snickered and after placing the straw in the cup, she handed the drink to him, “You guessed right. I can’t stand you. Do you want me to pack you up tomorrow and deliver you to someone?”

“You ungrateful girl! And I love you so! Am I a piece of merchandise that you can simply pack and hand off? If you can’t find a woman who satisfies me as my girlfriend, you’ll have to do these things for the rest of your life.”

Wen Jin took a bite of a pastry and, shifting the conversation, he asked seriously, “You just went out?”

“Uh-huh, Brother, MO Zixuan came to find me. He asked if we knew each other before.”

These words took Wen Jin by surprise. After swallowing the food in his mouth, he stared intently at Wen Ran, “What do you mean? He isn’t plotting something is he?”

He didn’t know about MO Zixuan’s ‘memory loss’ as it had only happened in the past few days.

It was no wonder he looked startled and suspicious when he heard what Wen Ran said.

Wen Ran gently shook her head, trying to calm him, “Brother, don’t worry so much. MO Zixuan has lost some of his memories for some unknown reason. It seems he has forgotten me.”

Wen Jin’s expression turned grim, “Did he just forget you, or did he forget everything?”

“It should be only me that he has forgotten. He still remembers Zhou Lin and his mom, and other things as well.”

Hearing this, Wen Jin frowned slightly, deep in thought for a while before asking again, “What did he say when he found you, and did you tell him about your past?”

“Hmm, I did. In the recent past, he’s been helping Xiao Wenqing with a lot of things, perhaps that’s why he lost part of his memory. Xiao Wenqing wanted to control him even more.”

Wen Jin’s expression became serious, and numerous thoughts spun in his head. He said softly, “Ranran, it’s good that you told him. Although MO Zixuan’s obstinateness over you is annoying, if he remembers the past, he won’t do anything to hurt you.”

“The only explanation for why he forgot just you, is that Xiao Wenqing used some method to wipe your memories from his mind, possibly harboring ill intentions toward you. Zhou Mingfu’s diary has some leads, which I’ve handed over to the police. I believe they can uncover something.”

“If Xiao Wenqing’s deeds are discovered, and she becomes desperate, she might most definitely harm you. Because, whether it’s against me or MO Xiuchen, hurting you is something she would love to do the most.”

It’s because Wen Ran was their most beloved, the apple of their eyes. If something really happened to Wen Ran, both Wen Jin and MO Xiuchen would certainly be devastated. Doing harm to Wen Ran was more effective than harming them directly.. Xiao Wenqing indeed was wickedly ruthless!
