Chapter 766 - Different Attitude
Chapter 766: Different Attitude
“It is because of Xiaomo, right?” Ling Chuxi asked. Last time, she had used her divine consciousness to check Duan Xiaomo, and his meridians had been so smooth that he could even be hailed as a martial path cultivation genius. However, his mind ocean had been cut into numerous pieces by the grids, and even she was stunned. It could be reckoned that after returning, Duan Qingchen could not do anything to help his grandson, so he had rushed over to ask for her help.
“That’s right. The Golden Pill Sect’s medical skills are known worldwide. This time, since you are rebuilding the sect, presumably the medical skills of the Su and Gao streams have been combined into one. This is why I wanted to ask for your help. Furthermore, Xiaomo’s attitude toward you is very different. Last time he met you, he even regained his sanity.” Duan Qingchen’s face was somber as he nodded.
“Uncle Duan, there’s no need for such formalities. Let us go and take a look at Xiaomo’s situation first,” Ling Chuxi said, not telling Duan Qingchen that she was the one who had combined Golden Pill Sect’s three streams of medical skills into one. She had not found a solution to Duan Xiaomo’s situation, so she did not want him to think she was capable of curing the little boy.
“Yes, let’s go,” Duan Qingchen said.
“That’s right, I will call Elder Su and the others as well,” Ling Chuxi said.
“Wait, there’s no need to trouble them yet,” Duan Qingchen said hurriedly, obviously worried about something.
Ling Chuxi was a little perplexed. Duan Qingchen was not someone who avoided problems and refused treatment, but he wanted to avoid telling Su Yizhi and the others. Could it be that Duan Xiaomo’s sickness was related to other secrets? Thinking about this in her heart, Ling Chuxi also did not insist.
The two of them walked over to Duan Qingchen’s small courtyard. Along the way, the Su family disciples and outer disciples bowed respectfully when they saw Ling Chuxi. They also bowed at Duan Qingchen in acknowledgement, but did not dare to say anything.
In the courtyard, Duan Xiaomo was staring up at the sky. His eyes were as pure as a baby’s, but if one looked closely, he seemed even more aimless and lost than the last time, and even skinnier.
Ling Chuxi’s mood plummeted slightly. From his gaze, it seemed that Duan Xiaomo’s sickness had become even more severe.
“Xiaomo, come and have breakfast. If you don’t eat, the food will get cold. Later, when Grandfather returns, he will be very worried,” Duan Feiyu held the bowl of lotus porridge and cooed to Duan Xiaomo.
Duan Xiaomo remained looking at the sky, in his own world, as if Duan Feiyu did not even exist.
Duan Feiyu looked at Duan Xiaomo in distress. The Celestial Sect’s Duan family’s legitimate first young master was used to being served by people, and this was the first time he was serving other people. Unfortunately, the receiving party didn’t know how to appreciate it. Anybody watching this scene might have been shocked.
“Come on Xiaomo, eat a little... just a little.” However, Duan Feiyu did not get angry and begged the little boy instead.
Ling Chuxi and Duan Qingchen saw this scene when they walked in, and her impression of Duan Feiyu changed greatly. Although there was the pride and haughtiness of sect disciples in Duan Feiyu, his concern towards Duan Xiaomo was real. It was so much better than those sect disciples who openly fought and killed each other.
“Still not willing to eat?” Duan Qingchen sighed. Looking at Duan Xiaomo’s skinny little face, his gaze was full of pity and regret.
“Yes. I have been trying to persuade Xiaomo for half a day already, but he is just unwilling to eat,” Duan Feiyu wiped the sweat on his face as he said helplessly.
“Let me.” Ling Chuxi took the bowl from his hands and squatted before Duan Xiaomo.
“Xiaomo, come and eat breakfast. Be obedient, okay?” Ling Chuxi scooped a spoonful of porridge and blew at it to cool it down, then held it out before Duan Xiaomo.
Duan Xiaomo immediately looked over, his eyes lighting up in recognition as he opened his mouth obediently, eating mouthful by mouthful of the porridge.
