Chapter 551 - Insulting
Chapter 551: Insulting
“I, your junior, Feng Zitian, am here to pay my greetings to Mister Mo,” said Feng Zitian as he took a quick step forward and respectfully bowed to Mo Kongyuan.
“Please rise, there’s no need to be so courteous. Is your master doing well?” asked Mo Kongyuan with a wave of his hand.
“Thank you, Mister Mo for thinking about him. My master is doing fine. This time I am also here specially following his orders to come and visit you,” said Feng Zitian.
“Oh, what did your master ask you to come here for?” asked Mo Kongyuan calmly.
“He has ordered me to come here to invite Mister Mo to Ding Lin Country’s capital in order to participate in the Guardian Gathering that is held once every 10 years,” said Feng Zitian.
“Oh? Isn’t the next Guardian Gathering only due to be held in three years’ time?” asked Mo Kongyuan.
“My master said that shortly before this, there was a strange sighting at Little Silver Ancient Mountain. He was fearful that it might turn out to be a bad thing for all countries and so brought forward gathering date and sent out people to issue invitations to all the Misters. This gathering will be held to specifically to discuss a countermeasure to a potential threat,” replied Feng Zitian.
“Little Silver Ancient Mountain?” said Mo Kongyuan solemnly to Feng Zitian with a frown. “I got it. Go back and inform your master that I will definitely rush over when the time comes.”
Ling Chuxi saw Mo Kongyuan’s solemn expression and felt a little curious. She had coincidentally encountered the odd rock at the Silver Ancient Mountain Range and was promoted to the realm of Great Fulfilment there, and later on, when she was being hunted by Ye Qianhe and ran into Mo Shili and Mo Qingyi as she was running away, it was also at the Silver Ancient Mountain Range. Because so many notable things had happened there, she had a special regard towards the Silver Ancient Mountain Range. She paid more attention to the conversation than she usually did, and realized that she had never heard of Little Silver Ancient Mountain before. However, now was obviously not the time to ask more about it, so Ling Chuxi temporarily suppressed her curiosity.
“Yes, sure,” said Feng Zitian respectfully, but he did not move after that.
“Is there anything else?” asked Mo Kongyuan.
“Mister Mo, I had once heard my master mention that your 27 Hand Great Fist Skill is known as the number one technique in the world. I am not talented enough to understand it myself and therefore would like to seek your guidance,” said Feng Zitian.
Ling Chuxi, Fu Chengyu and Ling Yichen’s faces changed. Feng Zitian was only Ding Lin Country’s guardian’s disciple, yet he was openly challenging the guardian of Nan Xia Country. This was clearly an act meant to provoke Mo Kongyuan and furthermore Nan Xia Country itself. It could even be considered as insulting.
“Is this also your master’s intention?” inquired Mo Kongyuan as his gaze flickered and a strong mighty aura began emitting from his body.
“This is my own intention,” replied Feng Zitian. There was actually not the slightest bit of timidity in his gaze.
“What qualifications do you even have to challenge Mister Mo?” snapped Fu Chengyu as his face turned grim. His tone contained an undisguised anger.
Aside from Fu Chengyu, both Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen were also furious. Mo Kongyuan had always been carefree and never bothered much about small hierarchical details. He also never put on any airs and had a seemingly master-disciple relationship and friendship with them. Yet, even with their degree of closeness, they never lost their manners and respect for him. Now seeing Feng Zitian’s disrespectful actions, how could they not get angry?
“With my identity as Ding Lin Country’s guardian’s disciple, naturally I am unqualified to challenge Mister Mo. It is just that when taking the talents of Nan Xia Country as a whole into consideration, who amongst my generation is fit to be my opponent?” said Feng Zitian as he glanced at Fu Chengyu in disdain.
If he had left some room of retreat in his earlier words, then these words would not have been so uncompromisingly insulting.
“Hmph. Well, I on the other hand, want to see if you indeed have the qualifications to even say such words,” retorted Fu Chengyu as he stood up. No matter how detached he was from the world, he was still ultimately a prince of Nan Xia, and as part of the Nan Xia royal family, he also had his own dignity and pride.
“Chengyu, stand down!” shouted Mo Kongyuan at Fu Chengyu, advising him to retreat. Although Fu Chengyu was not losing to Feng Zitian in terms of arrogance right now, his cultivation was actually quite a large gap away from Feng Zitian’s.
“Since you want to see my Great Fists Skill, then I will let you see it,” said Mo Kongyuan indifferently.
