Chapter 533 - RiChapter Kid?
Chapter 533: Rich Kid?
Jing Hua Restaurant, also known as Nan Xia’s number one restaurant, was indeed one of Nan Xia capital’s most lavish and also most famous restaurants. To many of the Nan Xia’s ordinary citizens, having a meal at Jing Hua Restaurant was not only an emblem of wealth, it was also considered a symbol of status and position. Of course, the dishes here were also known as the number one delicacies in Nan Xia and were famous amongst the neighboring countries as such.
Since it was now dinner time, the hall floor below was lacking in empty seats. However, as everyone had intentionally lowered their voices, the entire hall was lively but did not lose its atmosphere of elegance. It was indeed very different from other ordinary restaurants.
All these other things were not that important, at least to Ling Chuxi. Ling Chuxi’s emphasis was on which dishes at this restaurant were good. Just now when Li Shaoqiu was chattering non-stop, recommending this restaurant and which of their new dishes were extra popular, it made Ling Chuxi very much anticipate their meal there.
“Master Fu, you’ve arrived.” Seeing Fu Chengyu, the shopkeeper of the restaurant came over to welcome him with a face full of smiles. Knowing that Fu Chengyu was a low-profile individual, he did not address him as Ninth Prince.
“Has everything been arranged?” Fu Chengyu asked gently with a smile.
“How would we dare lax on matters concerning Master Fu? The room is already prepared. Miss Ling, Master Ling, Master Li, please follow me.” The shopkeeper smiled brightly and after making an inviting gesture, he immediately stood upfront to lead the way.
The shopkeeper was initially curious as to who the guests of Fu Chengyu were, and was enlightened to such information when he saw Ling Chuxi and the rest arrive. Perhaps other people might not know who Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen were, but which of those who had restaurants weren’t well-informed on such matters? The shopkeeper naturally knew of Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen who had won the assessment competition in one-fell swoop, and he also naturally knew of Li Shaoqiu as he was also a famous rich kid in the capital. He could not offend any of these people.
A long corridor was located on the second floor with each of its sides flanked with rows of private rooms. It was even quieter and more exquisite than the first floor.
But at the doorway of one of the private rooms, a not too harmonious voice rang out.
“Who said there are no more seats? Is this not another empty private room?” demanded a guard standing next to a young man who was well dressed. The guard spoke to a waiter a little angrily and the few other people who were part of their group were also looking at the waiter in an unfriendly manner.
“Sir, I am really sorry about this, but this private room has already been booked.” The waiter saw that these people were dressed extraordinarily and so spoke carefully with a smile and bowed respectfully as he did.
“Well, we want this private room,” said a thin and tall young man behind the guard haughtily. This young man looked quite decent but had a surge of majestic aura that was unseen. It was just that his complexion was a little pale and there was a little green under his eyes. One could tell with a single glance that this person had indulged in wine and women too much, emptying out his body.
“Sir, as I have said, this private room has already been booked. The shopkeeper himself had personally sent word of its reservation,” explained the waiter with a dry laugh. He felt a baffling sense of fear and so pushed the responsibility onto the more powerful authority of the shopkeeper instead. He could tell by a single glance that these people were not people he could afford to offend. He was really trying to preserve his life here.
“My fellow guests, my fellow guests, I am Jing Hua Restaurant’s shopkeeper. This waiter is still a young one, please forgive him if he has offended you in any way.” The shopkeeper was coincidentally walking up the stairs as this heated conversation was going on and could tell that these few people were not too ordinary, therefore he quickly went forward to appease them with a smile.
“You are the shopkeeper of Jing Hua Restaurant?” asked the lavishly dressed young man as he swept a glance at the shopkeeper.
“Yes, that is right. I am He Dafa, the shopkeeper of Jing Hua Restaurant. I’m not sure what orders the few of you have with us?” asked He Dafa with a face full of smiles while holding in his large belly. Actually, he was secretly lamenting his sorrow in his heart. He could tell that these young people before him were not people who were easy to deal with.
“We want this private room,” demanded the young man in an impatient manner with a frown.
