Ye Cha came back fast. He made it back in just two hours. After he came back, Lu Li brought Bai Xiashuang and Zi Lian towards the exit without any hesitation.
Bai Xiashuang was reluctant to go. She begged Lu Li to stay for several times, to which Lu Li turned a deaf ear. At the exit, he said, “Go out. This is an order. Don’t argue with me. Xiashuang, after you are out, teleport to the Ling Empress City right away and ask your aunt to send someone to find information about that mysterious race. Get me their intelligence even if you have to go through every historical date.”
Know the enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles with no danger of defeat. Lu Li couldn’t even fall asleep without finding out about this race. What if the race could enter the Northern Desert from the small world? Then how many people would be killed?
At the same time, Lu Li asked Bai Xiashuang and Zi Lian to keep this confidential. They were not allowed to tell anyone except for Madam Yan.
The exit was in an abyss. Jumping inside and they could return to the area of demons. Lu Li asked Ye Cha to escort the two young ladies. The Bai Family warriors should be here already.
“Lu Li, be careful!”
“Lu Li, we will be waiting for your return in triumph.”
Bai Xiashuang and Zi Lian gazed into Lu Li’s eyes and then were brought out by Ye Cha. Lu Li had become an emperor but the two ladies didn’t call him that. It would alienate them. Lu Li didn’t fancy being called an emperor himself so he was okay to be called by his name.
Ye Cha returned after an hour. He didn’t come out from the abyss but from nearby. When people from outside teleported here, they would only be teleported to a place near the abyss instead of inside the abyss.
Ye Cha nodded to Lu Li and said, “There are Bai Family Patriarchs outside and the armies are gathering. Let us wait for a bit longer.”
Lu Li sat with his legs crossed. Ye Cha and Ming Yu didn’t move a step away from Lu Li and they had been searching with their psychic powers. This time, no yellow person attacked them. Yu Huashen came in after a day and so did Zi Huanqiao. They came with six or seven Noble Lord Realm warriors. Four patriarchs of the Cyan Phoenix Race were all here and more than 30 Eternal Realm warriors were brought in.
“Greetings, emperor!”
They got down on one knee and yelled. Lu Li waved his hand to have them stand up and asked Zi Huanqiao, “Great General, have you heard about this mysterious race?”
Then Lu Li described to Zi Huanqiao what the mysterious looked like. The latter frowned and was absorbed in thoughts. Then he said, “Zi Huanyu, go back to the Heaven Martial City. There are records of all kinds of strange things of the Northern Desert in a secret history record of our family. I kind of remember reading some information of this mysterious race.”
Lu Li and the others were excited by the news. The Chief Patriarch of the Zi Family teleported out at once.
Lu Li put his mind at ease with so many powerful warriors by his side. He waved his hand and said, “Clan Leader Ye, go and bring someone with you to have a look around. Zi Huanqiao, you go as well. Everyone spread out and search the surroundings except for Yu Huashen and Ming Yu. Try to capture a yellow person alive and get some information. If you run into Green Dwarfs… kill them all.”
Nobody at the Northern Desert knew how to search souls but Ye Cha knew a secret skill in interrogation. The majority of the armies were not here yet so they must try to capture a member of the race first.
Green Dwarfs were not intelligent and they looked like monsters. As far as Lu Li was concerned, they were Xuan Beasts. The urgent task at hand now was to find Bai Qiuxue so they had to kill all the Green Dwarfs in the way.
The warriors spread out, looking for the mysterious race from all side. Lu Li, Yu Huashen, and Ming Yu started tour around as well.
Soon, fights broke out. Every team ran into Green Dwarfs. Each team started killing those Green Dwarfs and continued their search for the yellow persons.
Every now and then, someone would find Lu Li to report back information about each team. What disappointed Lu Li was not a single yellow person was captured after half a day.
After several hours, someone found Bai Leng and he was shown to Lu Li. Bai Leng looked depressed. He had been here for two or three days and he encountered some yellow persons and fought with them. But he didn’t get any news on Bai Qiuxue…
Lu Li’s mind was weighed down. The only good news was that Bai Qiuxue’s jade talisman of life was intact which meant that she was alive and there was still hope.
The search went on and so did the killing.
More warriors entered the small world. Lu Li ordered an inch-by-inch search and the killing of all the Green Dwarfs. He also said that anyone that could capture a yellow person would be rewarded.
This small world was not particularly big. Lu Li had called in more than half of the warriors of at least Fate Wheel Realm in Northern Desert. There were seven or eight thousands of them in total. They were divided into teams of three. They could sweep across the small world easily.
The Green Dwarfs were the once who suffered. They were slaughtered. In the small world, bodies of Green Dwarfs piled up and their blood ran in streams. Lu Li had made up his mind. The fate of Green Dwarfs was sealed. If he could find Bai Qiuxue, some of the Green Dwarfs might survive. If not, the entire race would be wiped out.
Lu Li stayed in a small mountain in the middle of the small word. There were so many people searching already, so him bringing a few person to go out wouldn’t be of much help. Therefore, he had nothing to do but to wait here.
However…
The armies searched for two days and killed nobody knew how many Green Dwarfs and yet no valuable information was obtained. The strange yellow people appeared on many occasion and at least more than 10 of them were killed. But none could catch one yellow person alive.
On the third day!
Zi Huanyu came back along with Madam Yan. What relived Lu Li was that—they found information about that mysterious race.
The Yellow Goblin Race!
Zi Family and other big families of the former Heaven Martial Kingdom had records of this race. More than 7000 years ago, this race wrecked the Northern Desert. The race didn’t appear at the Thousand-island Lake, though, but at the former Heaven Martial Kingdom during that time.
At that time, the Heaven Martial Kingdom didn’t belong to the Zi Family but a sixth Rank Family. That Family Patriarch mastered a powerful Profound Meaning and he was strong in fights. He beat powerful Yellow Goblins that came out and then destroyed their exit. That was why the matter was brought under control and the Yellow Goblin Race was rarely known among the public.
According to historical data, the Yellow Goblin Race should be living in a small world. The race had fast speed, cloaking abilities and they could travel underground.
The Yellow Goblin Race was not good at defense or fight. That Family Patriarch had very powerful psychic power so he found all the Yellow Goblins in hiding and stopped a major disaster from happening.
“Yellow Goblin Race?”
Lu Li squinted upon finishing the record. He was certain of one thing.
This Yellow Goblin Race didn’t live in the small world with Green Dwarfs, but in another one. There might be a passage connecting the two small worlds.
Bai Qiuxue had gone missing and she couldn’t be found with so many people looking for her. But she was still alive. There could only be one explanation—she entered the small world with the Yellow Goblin Race from that passage or she was taken away by the race.
“Find that passage!”
Lu Li stood up and ordered, “Find any tunnel, any cave and go and look into anywhere that seem strange. When you do, we will kill our way into the Yellow Goblins’ world.”
