Chapter 372 Tell Me About The Invitation Stones 2
"What do you mean by heavenly tribulation?" Lenny asked.
"A rank above the Elder Witch, or the Great Demon rank, needs the baptism of the heavens. Without such power, one cannot evolve beyond that.
ραΠdαsΝοvel And yes, I\'m talking literal lightning strikes, each one strong enough to split a mountain and dry off a volcano.
Ciri unfortunately died on the first one. Her junior sisters saw this as an opportunity, stole her body, and rushed out of the ceremony grounds.
However, that had been done with much difficulty.
The body of an elder witch was too valuable.
And so they placed curses on the bodies of the junior witches as they escaped.
Fortunately, the other practitioners could not leave, or else the spell would be broken. It was already terrible enough that Ciri left.
Any more, and they would have to wait another fifty years to bring about the apocalypse.
The Junior Witches made it back to the domain, and I\'m sure you can guess the rest.
The curses from the other Elder Witches turned their bodies into those abominations, and they had no choice but to use their souls and take up residence in Ciri\'s body.
The rest, you can probably guess. The Junior Witches had a quarrel with Ella and split up with half the invitation stone."
Lenny nodded his head as different thoughts went on in his mind. However, he could not help but believe that he was missing some vital things, so he asked.
"The invitation stones, aside from bringing other worldly beings in, can they send them back?"
Glenn nodded. "Of course it can. It is with the grace of the invitation stones that they are here in the first place. But if that was your aim, then I am afraid that you have missed the chance. That kind of power can only be amassed during the blood moon, and it only comes once every fifty years. Secondly, one invitation stone cannot do that; you will need all eight of them. And I doubt the others will be so willing to hand them over to you."
Lenny frowned at this, and he could not help but massage his jaw as thoughts went through his mind.
Glenn saw the look on his face. She did not like the disappointment.
"Although the blood moon is not available, that does not mean that the stones are weak. Each stone contains the blood essence of millions of people in this world. Each one is essentially the vein of the earth. If we can find all of them, we will have a far better chance at facing those monsters."
Lenny nodded in understanding; however, like the sprouting of a seed from the ground, another thought appeared in his head.
"If the invitation stones are the mechanism and the blood moon the battery, then isn\'t it safe to say that the invitation stones can be powered by anything aside from the blood moon?"
That question sounded a bit stupid at first. However, the more Glen thought of it, the more sense it made in her head.
In fact, it opened her mind to other possibilities.
She too started to nod slowly as her incredible mind made several calculations.
"In theory, that is a possibility. After all, a strong enough power source like the Blood Moon should be able to do it."
"Like the Sun!?" Lenny asked rhetorically.
She raised a brow at him, and he chuckled a little.
If the sun could be used, then it would have been used a long time ago. No one would obviously wait for fifty years.
This also ruled out the usual full moon.
This meant that the power source had to be of the dark kind.
But it also had to be incredibly big and stable. One that could compete with the Blood Moon itself.
In theory, if such a power source was found, it could help send them back or, as Glenn made Lenny understand, kill all of them at the same time.
Lenny nodded as he thought more about this.
When he was checking the things that the Satan system could give, he even saw an invitation stone.
However, the price of the smallest invitation stone was just as anyone would guess.
The blood of 10 million souls
That was just outrageous. But it begged the question of whether the satan system could supply a power source like the Blood Moon.
Remembering that there were other parts of the system that were locked, he couldn\'t help but think of this as a very good possibility.
It also made him wonder how truly strong Lucifer Morningstar was.
For now, even using the Satan system was not a viable method.
Lenny knew that he had to think of another solution.
His mind thought long and hard about it.
He understood that what he was lacking currently was information.
If he had sufficient information about this world, the occult, and other factors like that, things would be far easier to manage.
It was a good thing that even occult books could be traded for by the satan system.
However, yet again, Lenny remembered another problem.
He was broke on trade-able material.
The thought he left all those precious dead demon bodies really haunted him even more now.
However, he had to shelf the thought for the moment.
Since there was nothing he could do about that, he decided to ask a more important question.
This was something that had always bugged him in the back of his mind.
He turned to Glenn, his expression serious.
"Where can I find the body parts of Morningstar?"
