Chapter 234 The Naming Ceremony
It was a quick flash, but for a moment, the Satan system had interacted with the memories of the Magistri, and Lenny had seen a sad life float through his eyes.
A life so dark, that the only time there was ever any light was when Buckle, who was the Magistri\'s cellmate told his stories of the former world.
Only whenever he could dream of the former world in such stories did he ever smile.
Lenny shook his head.
It was really sad.
This was the first enemy he had taken down in this world that he actually felt a bit of respect for.
lenny believed that it was because of People like this that he existed.
It was because of people like this that he lived for.
He had to free this world of the stench of demons and devils alike.
He had to create a better world where men like this could smile.
Lenny suddenly remembered the Magistri\'s last words.
There was a plead to him that he should never lose his Hope.
Lenny sighed again.
As big as the world was, it was actually a small place.
After all, who could have thought that Old Man Buckle was the one that actually touched the life of the Magistri.
He was the one that actually gave him Hope.
It\'s so unfortunate that the person that was the source of it, lost it.
by the time Lenny had met old man Buckle in the Chimera Caves, he was already a broken man that did not even mind sacrificing his own children to a demon for his survival.
lenny looked down at the dead Magistri.
He knew and had to admit that he truly had his faults. He was not at all perfect, and even worse, he had come to this new world with flaws.
An example would be the incident with the soul devils. That time, he too was nearly lost.
However, when one had their eyes continually on the goal, a lot of miraculous things were sure to happen.
Like how Lenny broke out of the control of a soul devil because of his dutifulness to the Morningstar.
Man was truly capable of so much incredible things.
It was no wonder whether demons, devils or the heavenly beings above were so interested in this obviously weak creature.
Lenny took a knee before the Magistri\'s corpse and helped him close his still opened Eyes.
"I won\'t lose my hope," Lenny muttered lowly.
And then he stood to his feet.
C888 and A222 opened the portal door and walked in once more into Cuban\'s room.
They met up with A123 and they could see that Lenny had actually killed the Magistri.
This was something neither they nor A123 that had seen the entire thing happen could believe.
But Reality was a shocker at times, and for a people whose idea of the world had been limited to the Arena for all their lives, they were shocked to their marrow.
They all climbed down the Luxury box and towards Lenny.
All around, Demons were dead.
Those that were still somewhat alive had lost a lot of their body parts and were still trying to either kill themselves or kill one another.
"D999...*cough!* Lenny," A123 corrected himself, "what do we do now?"
Lenny turned to them. A bright smile was on his face, "Firstly, Let\'s give you guys names!"
"Huh!?" They all looked at him in surprise.
Names for a demon were very precious things, and Lenny was saying that he was just going to dish it out to them like that.
"So you guys tell me, what would you like to be called?"
A123, A222, and C888 looked at one another and really did not know what to say. The idea of having names was like having a surprise gift land on the doormat. What was inside was unknown.
As such, these three did not know what they wanted to be called.
"let\'s not overthink it!" Lenny massaged his jaw a little, "let\'s do it like this. You each get an old Greek name. Yes! one of the legendary heroes.
"A123, you are brave and was willing to risk your own life for freedom. I\'ll call you Hector."
Lenny turned to A222, "You are a very smart woman. Knowledgeable and sensitive to your environment. I\'ll call you Athena. Yes, that\'s it. Athena."
He turned to C888, "You risked your life to save me, even though you knew you would possibly not survive. I\'ll call you Perseus."
The moment Lenny said those words, the three looked at one another.
And they nodded at each other, accepting the names.
The moment they did, Lenny heard an Alert from the system.
<Alert>
<Lord Lucifer Morningstar named the first Demons, giving them the royalty they now enjoy>
<You have named Half-borns. As a being of Holy energy, Names automatically become True names>
<All stats for the named double>
<Special Attributes of the named increased>
The moment Lenny heard this, he saw his remaining Magic points fall to a drastic low.
<Magic100/2000>
Even his fight with the Magistri had only consumed about 200 points.
However, naming these three took 500 points each from him.
As things were at the moment, he would not have named them if he knew.
He only felt that the Letter and numerical names were too much of a hassle to call and thought it would be nice that they actually got real names.
As Lenny cursed his big mouth for opening up in his head, the three before him were undergoing changes.
Their bodies suddenly glowed with Darkline magic, and before they knew it, they could feel their power grow tremendously.
It was just as the system had said. All their stats had been doubled.
All of them had advanced to become Lesser Demon rank 2.
