Chapter 227 - What Else (1)

Considering their skills, it was pretty clear what their purpose was. They didn\'t even react to Luke\'s presence so that only confirmed things even more. In any case, Luke had to improve his way of thinking. He thought that more powerful opponents wouldn\'t use their heads against him, but it was clear that things were changing. It was quite worrisome given how they worked operating in such large scales... Luke probably would never go that far.

"Are they going to explode if we attack the fortress?" Luke asked.

"The possibility certainly exists…" Rina said. "However, even with his many, a chain explosion won\'t reach our allies. Nevertheless, the snake woman is probably trying to come, so we don\'t have time to be cautious."

Rina was right, so Luke jumped toward the center of the fortress. Even though he landed on many different buildings, the monsters never reacted… Thanks to that, they found the main building pretty soon, but much to their surprise, the fortress began to float and then go upward.

"How… Can you feel her presence?" Luke asked.

"No, she didn\'t arrive yet… but…" Rina said.

Luke and his friends thought the same thing… Was the snake woman truly the master of that fortress? Besides, while they had one and could control it while they were touching the red crystal, it doesn\'t mean that the real owners must have the same limitations. Still, the master must be somewhere in the fortress… still, if Rina couldn\'t feel anyone\'s presence, they certainly won\'t find it with their eyes alone.

"Do they want to kill us in space?" Luke asked when he noticed that the fortress was moving faster. "Well, it doesn\'t change our goal…"

Luke worried to the red crystal room and then he found it, but then he realized something. The fortress will fall apart, but its parts will over the battlefield. It will be like a city falling from the sky… the destruction will spread for dozens if not hundreds of kilometers.

"They will lose one of their armies and they will even lose a lot more while this thing falls, but they don\'t care…" Luke said while sweating cold.

"Just do it, Luke," Rina said. "We will deal with the debris later."

Luke nodded and then dashed toward the crystal. Once his eyes laid on the thing, he felt the air getting thinner, so he didn\'t have much time, still, he raised his guard because it was the best place to ambush him. However, nothing happened and Luke crushed the red crystal into bits.

The fortress began to fall apart and then Luke moved and then jumped around until he got a good view from above. For some reason, the fire spirits didn\'t disappear… the tricks of those overlords sure were annoying. In any case, they probably will die upon hitting the ground and their deaths will cause explosions. Debris and now suicide monsters… Luke can never catch a break.

"Shalia!" Luke said and then created a massive spear of water.

"Roger that," Shalia said and began to freeze that.

There was no need to focus on the tips or on the shape of the projectile, so they finished it rather quickly. Soon after, Luke fired that toward the largest group of monsters that was within the center of the falling fortress. Once he hit those, a massive chain explosion spread across the area and made Luke and the others go upward once again. Fortunately, when they could see the results of what had happened, they confirmed that most of the monsters and debris had been destroyed or were falling toward places beyond the battlefield.

Although the attack helped disperse the debris and monsters, it also put a good distance between Luke, the others, and the falling fortress. He made sure to hold Rina tightly while he was falling, but he soon lost his focus when he saw some debris and monsters falling around the allies\' army. There wasn\'t a single thing Luke could do aside from watching…

In any case, it was hard to imagine that the enemies had planned to sacrifice more than one fortress, but Luke decided to be careful and Aim for those. While he was maneuvering in the war, he saw something on the ground jumping and one second later, something crossed five hundred meters and ten reached him… it was a huge ass, muscular woman who had six arms.

"Why do I even bother?" Luke thought half a moment later when he was about to be punched by six arms.

Instead of defending, Luke swung down his ax downward with a single hand and then used Sonic Blade, the big woman thought that she could block the attack with two hands only, but then she almost lost those before she was sent back to the ground.

"High strength, but low endurance…" Luke muttered.

The woman looked quite human, aside from having six arms and being three meters tall. She didn\'t have any weapons with her, but she was wearing yellow armor that protected most of her body…

"Daaris and Iphi are supposed to be fighting her…" Rina said.

There was no point in worrying about that, and since they were nowhere to be seen, Luke and his friends had to deal with her, he had a feeling that it would be harder than dealing with the horse-face, but it would be weird if that weren\'t the case.

When Luke landed, he immediately was attacked by that woman again, before Rina could assume a position, he had to block the strike, but then the enemy moved the arms of her left side, and then a powerful gust of wind sent him backward for several meters. While he was spinning in the air, Luke saw Rina being targetted…
