Chapter 40 Alister’s Monologue
Chapter 40 Alister\'s Monologue
This was a novel experience for Alister and since this didn\'t endanger his life, he just acted along with his kidnappers.
\'See kids! This is what a model hostage should do! All kidnappers will be glad if you don\'t put up any resistance!\'
Alister sneered as all of the actions of his kidnappers were under the surveillance of his mental perception. If those wretched uncles dared to harm him, it was not like he couldn\'t use his mind control to make them his loyal subordinates.
He noticed that those wretched uncles picked him up and brought him to a remote forest. But in that remote forest, there was an underground passageway and those uncles brought him inside it.
Eventually, Alister felt that the rope on his body was untied but it was replaced with handcuffs as well as a steel collar around his neck. From his mental perception, Alister observed that the wretched uncle locked himself in a cage.
Afterward, the wretched uncles left him inside the cage.
When they completely left, Alister opened his eyes. He saw that there were several abducted children ranging from 3 years old to 12 years old locked inside a cage. But, not all of them were as high quality as he was.
After all, it could be seen that those wretched uncles stored him inside a cage by himself yet some of those abducted children were cramped inside one cage. Compared to them, he was the highest quality product among them.
\'There are a total of 23 children inside this underground basement. It still baffles me how efficient those wretched uncles were. I thought they were newbies in this business but they seemed to be professionals.\'
Alister mockingly praised those kidnappers as he surveyed the underground basement using his mental perception.
He didn\'t care whether he would be labeled missing and his parents would worry about him. After all, the most important task on his agenda was to prevent Alice from being sold to Yun Ren.
Alister had already planted a mind seed on Alice. The mind seed technique was like a monitoring bug that would allow him to observe the situation of those living entities that he had planted it on.
If he wanted to, he could control Alice\'s body or descend his power to her and control her body like a puppet. To put it nicely, it was like the technique that he had read from mythologies where a god placed an avatar inside his apostle which would allow that god to incarnate in his apostle\'s body with that god\'s power descending on that apostle.
As long as it wasn\'t used to the point that the soul or body of the target was eroded by the transferred power, then there wasn\'t any danger to the target\'s body.
As a cautious person, Alister didn\'t trust his parents so he left a failsafe on Alice\'s body that would protect Alice if she was in danger. And if that happened, Alister would disown his parents and live with Alice and then proceed to find Lynn.
After all, as a human awakener who has the mind control superpower, Alister could literally remove the memories of his parents and let them forget about his and Alice\'s existence.
Although it wasn\'t foolproof as there was still the birth certificate and all that, Alister could just let his parents have an "accident" if they proved to be troublesome for him.
\'If they dared to harm an innocent child-like Alice, I wouldn\'t forgive them. But for now, it seems that Alice is safe and none of my parents have realized that I have left my bedroom and was kidnapped by those wretched uncles.\'
\'Hmmm… As long as Alice is still safe, I should be able to act independently in this world and start my organization that will antagonize Yun Ren\'s organization. Or better yet, I? can just control the government of every country and make them my puppets!\'
\'The possibilities are endless! What to do… What to do…\'
Even if Alister knew that he was currently in a full-dive simulation which was no different from him transmigrating into this real world, Alister wasn\'t worried about his safety. Instead, he decided to have some fun.
He had received the memories of the self in the simulation and he knew that the self in the simulation was hellbent on becoming as strong as possible. And since he was already the strongest in this world and the mastermind was already defeated by him once, Alister decided to take a break and entertain himself to relieve his stress.
As for the children that were kidnapped alongside him, he didn\'t care much about them.
\'If I save all of these abducted children, then I would have to be fully responsible until they were transferred to an orphanage or returned to their parents. That would not be worth the effort and would only waste my time since there aren\'t any benefits.\'
\'Not to mention, becoming a hero will only waste my time. Even if I save these children, there will be more children in every corner of this world that will be abducted by kidnappers like those wretched uncles.\'
\'From a rational point of view, it\'s only a complete waste of time and effort. After all, I am not a hero or a villain. I am just me, Alister Wright.\'
\'I do what I want to do, not dictated by the laws of this world and the morals of a living being. Only by then, will I achieve personal freedom.\'
\'It still baffles me why some people wanted to be heroes. Is it worth it to sacrifice one\'s life for a stranger? It\'s quite ironic that those so-called heroes are either hypocrites or naive morons. Every one of them either had met a bad end or was persecuted by the world.\'
\'And I, Alister Wright, will not care about the opinion of others. As long as I enjoy what I am doing and it doesn\'t harm my loved ones, then what I am doing is right!\'
