“I believe we will see each other real soon.”
Chen Zi looked at Mo Wen’s silhouette as he rode away. Only after a long while, did she mutter to herself.
“My Flaming Dragon Colt! My Flaming Dragon Colt... you brat, what did you do to my Flaming Dragon Colt...”
Just as Chen Zi came out from her trance, a panicked voice sounded from afar. A green shadow flashed past in mid-air, appearing in front of Chen Zi in a few blinks of the eye. It was none other than Chen Zikuang. His face was green like iron and he wore a poker face. He did not look so good.
“Did you not already see just now? Why are you still asking me?” Chen Zi said roguishly as she spread her hands and then pointed into the distance.
“You lent... my Flaming Dragon Colt...to Mo Wen...?” Chen Zikuang asked somewhat anxiously.
If Chen Zikuang did not already know that he could not catch up with the Flaming Dragon Colt, right now he would have been chasing Mo Wen at all cost.
All he could now do was pray that the Flaming Dragon Colt had just been lent to Mo Wen and that he could get it back in the future. When the stable servant reported what had happened, he was so angry that he nearly tore the house down. That was a Flaming Dragon Colt! There weren’t many Flaming Dragon Colts in the entire Green Ancient Mystery Dimension, and this was the only one in the entire Intentionless Sect.
“I did not lend it. I gave it to him.” Chen Zi shrugged her shoulders. Then, she placed her small hands behind her back and turned and gracefully walked away.
“What!” Chen Zikuang leaped up, nearly jumping up and down as he pointed at Chen Zi. He chased behind her, flustered and exasperated.
“You brat... you prodigal daughter... what right did you have to give it to others? That was mine... you actually gave my Flaming Dragon Colt to that b*stard Mo Wen! Now that it has fallen into Mo Wen’s hands, it will be pretty much impossible to ask him to return it.”
Chen Zikuang nearly exploded in anger. That was a Flaming Dragon Colt, his most favorite stead! It was worth the same as a sect’s most treasured spiritual weapon. His prodigal daughter had actually simply given it to someone else!
“After all, I have already given it away. If you can’t bear the thought, then go after it,” Chen Zi very calmly minded her own business as she walked away from him, her expression seeming to ask what he could do about it. She clearly knew that once the Flaming Dragon Colt started running, even an intermediate stage Golden Elixir realm ancient martial art practitioner would find it difficult to catch up. Her father would certainly not be able to.
“Prodigal daughter...You prodigal daughter...”
The sky was broad as Mo Wen rode the Flaming Dragon Colt calmly across the plains like a flaming arrow. In a flash, it appeared in the distance. Passerbys occasionally caught a glimpse of it, seeing only a fiery red shadow passing by them. Then it would disappear from sight.
Some people, if they were not paying attention or did not react in time, would most likely not notice it even if the Flaming Dragon Colt passed right by them. At most, they would feel a searing heat wave surge past.
“As expected, this is a good horse!” Mo Wen sat upright on the back of the Flaming Dragon Colt. It was flat and steady, not at all bumpy, as though he was on flat ground. The surrounding scenery passed by quickly.
Only now did Mo Wen realize that once the Flaming Dragon Colt started running, its speed was astonishing. Even an intermediate stage Golden Elixir realm ancient martial art practitioner who was flying would not be able to catch up. Purely based on speed, it could compare to a pinnacle of Golden Elixir realm ancient martial art practitioner.
The only downside was that the Flaming Dragon Colt could not fly. Otherwise, it would be a divine stead. Once on its back, he could travel across the earth without fear.
With a loud roar, the Flaming Dragon Colt jumped a thousand feet in one leap. It was unbelievably fast. Its four hooves burned with raging fire. It was as though it was on flaming wheels, its searing heat causing the surrounding air to warp slightly.
If one looked closely, they would discover that when the Flaming Dragon Colt ran, its four hooves seemed to not touch the ground. Instead, they seemed to stop half a foot above the ground, as though its feet never touched the ground at all.
With the Flaming Dragon Colt as a means of transport, Mo Wen would undoubtedly be able to shorten his journey. It would most likely not take him long at all to travel to the Tan Zi Beast Lair.
Mo Wen took out the map that Chen Wuhui had given to him. On it, the way to the Tan Zi Beast Lair from the Intentionless Sect was marked. If he followed the marked trail, he could head straight to the Tan Zi Beast Lair.
Chen Wuhui had also given him a record of all the ancient martial art practitioner sects of the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension. This had saved Mo Wen the trouble of unknowingly being at a disadvantage, or offending those who shouldn’t be offended.
Mo Wen just glanced at the information regarding the sects in the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension a few times, not really being too concerned with them. Instead, it was the attached information regarding the Tan Zi Beast Lair that drew his interest.
In the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension, ninety percent of the districts were the world of monstrous beasts. Aside from a few settlements that people had established, the rest was almost all wasteland. There were monstrous beasts lurking everywhere.
The monstrous beasts lived in the forests and also underground. Those that did not enjoy sunlight would be active underground. This type of monstrous beast would usually tunnel out very large cavernous spaces. All the major ancient martial art practitioner sects called these underground spaces Beast Lairs.
There were many Beast Lairs in the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension, but the most famous ones were the legendary Five Great Beast Lairs. The Tan Zi Beast Lair was one of them.
The Five Great Beast Lairs were all ancient and all were unbelievably huge. There was no information as to when they were formed because by the time humans appeared in the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension, there were already monstrous beasts and the Five Great Beast Lairs had already formed.
As one of the Five Great Beast Lairs, the inside of the Tan Zi Beast Lair was incomparably dangerous. A slight mistake could cost a life. Usually, unless one’s cultivation was at the Golden Elixir realm, very few ancient martial art practitioners would consider heading into the Tan Zi Beast Lair. Doing so was not much different from seeking death.
Also, the Tan Zi Beast Lair was different from the other four Great Beast Lairs. That was because the entrance to the Tan Zi Beast Lair was situated in the Flame Barren Savage Lands, which was one of the three most dangerous lands in the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension. The Flame Barren Savage Lands and the Yunli Savage Lands were equally famous for being dangerous. Even if some ancient martial art practitioners wanted to head into the Tan Zi Beast Lair, it would be futile if they could not pass through the Flame Barren Savage Lands.
Luckily, the entrance to the Tan Zi Beast Lair was in the middle of the Flame Barren Savage Lands and not in the depths or at its core. Otherwise, even later stage Golden Elixir realm ancient martial art practitioners would most likely have a hard time entering the Tan Zi Beast Lair.
After getting to grips with the situation, Mo Wen put the map away. He then set the horse galloping straight to his destination. He did not plan on stopping, even if he came across towns or villages. The Flame Barren Savage Lands was situated in the southern part of the Green Ancient Mystery Dimension. It was almost twice the size of the Qingzhen District. Although the area was not very large, its savage name alone could cause shock.
With the Flaming Dragon Colt’s pace, he could reach the outskirts of the Flame Barren Savage Lands in half a day.
Along the way, Mo Wen discovered quite a few ancient martial art practitioners were heading in the same direction. All of them were wading through water and walking through the jungles. Obviously, they were heading for the legendary spiritual fire. Once he left the Eight Major Districts established by man, it was endless forests and jungles. The ancient martial art practitioners heading to the Tan Zi Beast Lair could only take the mountain passes.
Luckily, the Flaming Dragon Colt was an alpha among the monstrous beasts. It traversed the mountain forests as though they were flat ground, its speed not affected at the slightest.
Bang! A flash of lightning shot across the sky which was covered by dark clouds. The weather changed as if on a whim. The sunny day suddenly turned gloomy and gales began to roar as torrential rain poured down. Heaven and earth were connected by a veil of rain.
The running Flaming Dragon Colt released a burst of flame which automatically enveloped Mo Wen. He noticed that this flame did not cause him any harm. Aside from being a bit warm, his clothes were unaffected. He secretly exclaimed how miraculous it was.
The torrential rain that had landed on Mo Wen was instantly turned into a fine mist. No matter how dense the rain was it could not touch Mo Wen as it turned into the mist. Mo Wen suspected that if he rode the Flaming Dragon Colt through water, he would most likely still not get his clothes wet.
The mist that formed did not affect Mo Wen at all. It did not impede his vision, as the Flaming Dragon Colt’s speed was too fast. After the mist formed, Mo Wen and the Dragon Colt had already sped into the distance.
Hence, a rare, beautiful scene appeared. A long trail of fine mist appeared on the ground. The trail of mist kept growing longer, extending forwards at an astonishing speed. It became longer and longer. Before the mist at the end had evaporated, a large section had appeared in front of it.
Such a majestic scene drew the attention of many. Some of the ancient martial art practitioners traversing the mountain forests turned to look at the trail of mist. Their eyes were full of surprise.
“So majestic.” A young maiden wearing a simple warrior garb covered her small mouth with her hand as she gazed with large blinking eyes at the trail of mist that was constantly extending.
“That’s...a Flaming Dragon Colt! My God...”
“Isn’t that a legendary Flaming Dragon Colt? I have actually seen a real Flaming Dragon Colt. Before this, I have only heard the elders talk about it...”
“My God, a Flaming Dragon Colt. My eyes aren’t deceiving me, are they?”
At first, many people only noticed the long trail of mist. But after a while, many people noticed that at the forefront of the trail of mist, a bright fire was flickering. The light of the flame drew everyone’s attention.
“Master, that is actually a Flaming Dragon Colt. Just now, I was shocked. I thought that Big Flame and Small Flame had appeared here.” A young maiden dressed in purple patted her small chest. Her big eyes remained gazing curiously at the Flaming Dragon Colt running ahead of them, as though she was seeing something new for the first time.
This young maiden was not on the ground, but in the air. Of course, she was not a Golden Elixir realm ancient martial art practitioner and could not fly. There was a gigantic bird in the sky. The bird was like an eagle, yet somewhat different. Its two large wings covered the sky and blocked out the sun. With a gentle twitch, it could sweep up a hurricane. Anyone who gazed up at it could feel the bird’s ferociousness and strength. On top of the bird stood four to five people. The young maiden dressed in purple was one of them.
The ferocious bird followed behind the Flaming Dragon Colt. Purely based on speed, it was not inferior to the Flaming Dragon Colt.
Mo Wen squinted slightly. He looked up at the gigantic bird in the sky, a look of astonishment flashing in his eyes. He did not recognize the bird, but he could feel that the bird was actually a matured seventh rank monstrous beast. It was comparable to a human Golden Elixir realm ancient martial art practitioner.
