Chapter 20 - 31 Teach Her What is Self-defense
Gu Chuyan was carried away from the hospital by Xiao Mohan, which surprised her, as there was not a soul in the entire hospital! Even the streets were deserted!
“What are you thinking?” Xiao Mohan asked her after helping her into the car, seeing her in a daze.
Hearing his words, her small face turned burning hot, and she absent-mindedly touched her cheek! She shrank back a little, creating some distance between them. If she leaned too close, she would always feel somewhat… nervous.
“Nothing in particular,” Gu Chuyan replied, her eyes twinkling.
Xiao Mohan stretched out his hand and took her small hand! He gently caressed the back of her hand, and it felt like his fingers were surging with electricity, which flowed along her skin and into her bloodstream, stirring up all her nerves.
She felt like withdrawing her hand, but he firmly held onto it.
His gaze deep and intense, he stared at the wound on the back of her hand!
“Caused by high heels?” He asked.
Gu Chuyan listened and stopped struggling, having initially thought he was touching her hand. Little did she know, he was actually focusing on her wound, where the skin had been scraped off and bits of raw flesh were visible.
“Yes,” she admitted without denying.
There was no room for saving face with such an embarrassing incident, there was no point in vehemently denying it.
Turning her head in some sarcastic way, she stared at the fast receding scenery outside the window and sarcastically said, “Today must’ve been pretty entertaining watching my family, am I right?”
“Yes,” Xiao Mohan replied curtly.
“Like the one who ended up sitting on shards,” he added unexpectedly, unusually verbose.
Only when she heard his words did she remember that Lian Zhenzhen had fallen onto a pile of broken pieces. The pain had left her unable to stand, and her distressed figure was rather pathetic.
“Pff.” Gu Chuyan couldn’t help but laugh.
Xiao Mohan reached out and stroked her long hair, his fingertips gliding along the length of her silky hair from root to tip.
Surprised and flattered, Gu Chuyan turned to look at him!
“From now on, never allow anyone to treat you badly,” Xiao Mohan said in a serious tone. He reached out and turned her towards him, looked her in the eye, and stated with a calm and firm gaze, “Even if it means having to kill them, you must not let yourself be wronged.”
“If you’re bullied, killing them counts as self-defense,” he added.
Gu Chuyan looked at him, her gaze changed! His words were undoubtedly cruel, but why did her heart suddenly feel sweet upon hearing them?
“What do you do?” She asked after a moment of silence.
Earlier, those two had addressed him as Mr. Xiao, and now, his words were a bit… overbearing! But she was somewhat fond of his domineering manner.
“What kind of person do you hope I am?” Xiao Mohan tossed the question back at her.
Gu Chuyan turned her head to the side, thought for a moment and said, “As long as you’re not a bad person, it’s fine.”
“Heh,” Xiao Mohan suddenly laughed upon hearing this.
The man looked at the sincerity and anticipation in her clear eyes, traced her hand with his fingers, and his gaze fell on her wound.
“Done, Mr. Xiao,” Han Changqing drove the car while keeping a watchful eye on his actions.
Xiao Mohan’s gaze was fixed on the wound on Gu Chuyan’s foot, clearly signaling that Gu Miaoting would have to pay for what she did! “Alright,” Xiao Mohan replied upon hearing Han Changqing’s words.
The ringtone of Han Changqing’s phone went off. He picked up the call: “Hello?”
Upon hearing the voice on the other side, Han Changqing felt like he was holding a hot potato, caught in a dilemma. He turned his head somewhat awkwardly: “Master Xiao, it’s from home.”
Home? The Xiao family?
“Don’t answer.” Xiao Mohan said.
Han Changqing held the phone out to him, seeing that Xiao Mohan didn’t want to answer, he also didn’t want to answer, but didn’t dare to hang up.
Xiao Mohan suddenly reached out, snatched the phone, and hung up. Then, he tossed it aside..
