Chapter 1714 - Reflecting
Chapter 1714: Reflecting
Every emotion he felt depended heavily on Young Madam.
Xie Limo rubbed his brows, and it felt like breathing became difficult to him.
He began to ask the servants about Yun Bixue’s condition at home today.
The servants recounted everything that they had seen to him honestly.
Xie Limo’s face turned rather pale as he read the latest news. When he saw his photo with Xiajun Yanli, his expression turned cold, and his aura became utterly icy.
Thinking about how Yun Bixue would feel if she saw that photo, he felt a hint of guilt and self-reproach deep down.
This was the longest time they had gone without speaking to each other. She hadn’t waited for him to return and had gone to their room to rest first.
Xie Limo looked at the name of the reporter who published the news. He immediately called Xie Wu and ordered him to get rid of the article.
Xie Wu understood what Young Master Xie meant.
“Young Master Xie, this relatively unknown website wouldn’t have dared to commit such an act if they hadn’t been under someone’s orders.”
“Even if they had been under orders, I’ll still punish them to serve as a warning to the mastermind.”
“Yes, sir!” Xie Wu knew that the article and photo must have made Young Madam terribly upset. Since she was unhappy, it was only normal for Young Master Xie to request for it to be taken down.
The problem laid in those idiots who made such a decision.
After relaying his orders, Xie Limo began to reflect on his own feelings these days, and how it had affected him.
The more he thought, the more he felt that something was amiss.
He realized that he seemed to have strayed from his initial beliefs and took Yun Bixue’s compliance with his demands for granted. He also had been imposing his own emotions onto her.
She probably had already been upset with how he was stressing her out!
He recalled many details that had happened, and constantly felt that Yun Bixue had to be extremely cautious and wary in front of him.
That was not what he had intended.
As Xie Limo reflected on himself, his misery became increasingly unbearable. He simply wanted to slap himself awake.
She had been smiling and trying to cheer him up the past few days. She had even been apologizing to him multiple times.
However, he didn’t even reciprocate a smile nor even speak to her.
He still remembered how she had stared at him with an innocent glint in her widened eyes.
He recalled how she was pretending to be happy, yet he still had been harsh on her.
Thinking back, he wondered how he managed to do those mean things to her.
He had already imposed many restrictions on her, and she had lost a lot of freedom.
Everyone commented that he treated her very well, but in fact, she was the one who loved him more. She accommodated his every request, even if they were rather overboard. She still obeyed his instructions and did everything according to his words.
Thinking back now, why was he angry with her?
There seemed to be nothing for him to be angry about.
Had he been upset at her for hurting herself? She was also merely a fragile lady who had a myriad of emotions too. Since she didn’t want him to realize how much she was suffering, she could only torture herself!
He had been quite a joke. Because he was frustrated with her, he hadn’t been speaking to her for the past few days. Now, he couldn’t even grasp what she was feeling anymore.
Xie Limo was welled up with confusion. Besides blaming himself for everything, he was also at a loss of what to do.
He couldn’t stop himself from thumping his chest in exasperation, as though this was the only way to relieve the ache he felt there.
In the end, Xie Limo sighed and entered the bedroom.
Yun Bixue had already fallen asleep, so he could only sit quietly by the heater.
Looking at Yun Bixue laying on the bed, he sighed again.
