Chapter 1495 - Telling the Reporters Directly
Chapter 1495: Telling the Reporters Directly
In Xie Limo’s plan, Qin Huailing was the most effective weapon against the Yuan family.
Xie Limo watched the show calmly. He was not anxious either. Aside from instructing Xie Wu and Xie Liu on some matters, he would keep Yun Bixue company.
Since he was on paternity leave, the Ministry of State Affairs would not ask him to report to work. Hence, Xie Limo was actually very free.
He felt that keeping his wife company every day was the single most important thing.
Just when everyone thought that everything was peaceful now, many media companies received private information that there will be an important piece of news to report on at the main entrance of the Yuan family’s residence.
Some believed it, while some doubted it. However, a few reporters still felt that they should go and stake out the place, regardless if the information was true or not.
Today was also the day for the heir to the Yuan family, Yuan Shuangrui, to meet her subordinates.
The moment she stepped out of the house, she saw Qin Huailing sitting in a wheelchair at the entrance.
Yuan Shuangrui was so shocked that all the color drained from her face. She thought that she had seen a ghost.
She glanced at her surroundings. Once she confirmed that there was nobody around, she questioned him angrily, “Qin Huailing, what do you want?”
Qin Huailing stared at Yuan Shuangrui with cold, sinister eyes. He smirked and said, “I’m not going to do anything. My legs ended up like this because of you. The gunshot wounds on my elbow and chest were also caused by you, so I came to see you.”
“Qin Huailing, you know my personality. Why would I harm you?”
“Shuangrui, you can deny it, but I have evidence! I came here today to show it to you.”
“You... What exactly do you want?”
“Since you want to kill me, I naturally want to get back at you, including your Yuan family.” Qin Huailing mouthed these words silently.
Yuan Shuangrui staggered backwards as her face turned pale. “You are a madman. Men, come and drag him out. Our Yuan family is not a place for anyone to come in.”
Just when Yuan Shuangrui said that, more than a dozen reporters ran up to her and started taking photos, catching her off-guard.
“Miss Yuan, may I know what’s going on here?”
“Miss Yuan, I heard you and Young Master Qin had a relationship when you were both young. Why do you treat him like an enemy now?”
“Miss Yuan...”
When faced by the reporters’ questioning, Yuan Shuangrui was really vexed out. She waved her hand and said, “I’m sorry, please excuse me. I still have matters to attend to.”
Qin Huailing casually said, “Since everyone wants to know, you can ask me.”
More than a dozen reporters at the scene turned to look at Qin Huailing, who was sitting in a wheelchair. They paused for a moment before pointing their microphones at him.
Qin Huailing was about to say something when Yuan Shuangrui burst out in rage, “Qin Huailing, don’t slander me for things I didn’t do.”
Qin Huailing shrugged. “Miss Yuan, I haven’t said anything yet. Why are you so scared and nervous? Could it be that you have a guilty conscience?”
Yuan Shuangrui’s face looked really ugly. Her heart was palpitating rapidly. Her eyes were brimming with hatred as she glared at Qin Huailing.
Qin Huailing continued calmly, “Miss Yuan, didn’t you say you were busy just now? You can carry on with your work. I will say my piece.”
Yuan Shuangrui was so enraged that she almost fainted. Her face looked really nasty, and it seemed like she had been restraining herself quite badly. Her chest heaved up and down heavily, as though she was suppressing something.
Qin Huailing slowly said to the reporters, “It’s exactly what you all saw. My Qin family has a feud with the Yuan family. Miss Yuan purposely got close to me back then so she could kill me and make the Qin family a subordinate of the Yuan family. Now that I came to the capital, she is afraid that the incident would be brought to light, so she sent some people to assassinate me once again. Look here, this is a gunshot wound. Here too...”
