“Captain, you’re still up.”
Mo Huaifeng was taller than Ji Zhiyao by four to five centimeters and was currently using the advantage of his height to look down at him. In the dim light, his look was somber as if looking at an idiot. “If I were asleep, who was the one who opened the door for you?”
Ji Zhiyao probed his head around, trying to find out if the other living person in the room was asleep, but did not expect that the moment he leaned close to the gap in the door, he was pushed outwards by a palm. Ji Zhiyao looked up, finding that Mo Huaifeng had just put down his hand. Mo Huaifeng’s tone was slightly questioning, “What are you doing?”
Ji Zhiyao responded. “Captain, the heater in my room is faulty. Can I borrow your bathroom for a shower?”
There was split second when Mo Huaifeng’s chocolate brown eyes froze, and just as Ji Zhiyao thought that he was going to agree, he said indifferently, “No, because I want to shower.”
Ji Zhiyao was a little stunned. “I won’t take long, around ten minutes would be enough. I can use it after you are done too.”
“Why don’t you go find Heng?”
“Because I’m closer to Captain.”
Mo Huaifeng “tsk-ed.” His eyes dropped a little, and this action allowed him to have an even clearer view of the glistening smiling eyes belonging to the youth before him. The words ‘it always takes time to slowly become closer to your teammates’ was swallowed back for some reason. After several seconds of a standoff, things finally ended with an annoyed “troublesome,” and Mo Huaifeng’s seemingly compromising manner of moving to the side.
Ji Zhiyao entered the room.
The whole room was two times the size of his own, and its style was also very different from how he had imagined it to be. The room was distinctively divided into two parts, left and right. There was a soft single bed on the left, covered with bright pink Hello Kitty bed sheets, and even had some pillows of the same design placed messily around, whereas the right was a minimalist style in distinct black and gray. The bed was very neatly made, and only a small part of the blanket below the pillow had a mark of being slightly lifted.
Nuo was also slightly surprised seeing Ji Zhiyao walk in, and he stopped shaking his thigh. “NoHomo, why are you here?”
Ji Zhiyao waved the clothes in his hands at him. “The heater in my room is faulty, so I’m borrowing the bathroom for a shower.”
“Oh, go on go on,” Nuo said. “The heater at the bathroom on the first floor of the base can be used as well, so you can go there next time too.”
Ji Zhiyao nodded and could not help but take a few more looks at the bedsheets behind Nuo, which was a bursting display of a teenage girl’s heart, and said smiling, “You are truly Captain’s real love. He didn’t even kick you out when you made the bed like this.”
Nuo chuckled. “Excuse me, excuse me. Who asked Captain to play that game of Ludo with me to bet on...”
“Why do you have so much crap to say? Go shower already.”
Mo Huaifeng cut off Nuo’s words in time. Lifting Ji Zhiyao’s collar with two fingers, he threw him into the bathroom, let go, closed the door, and locked. All done in one breath.
Ji Zhiyao stared for a moment at the tightly closed door, slowly put down his change of clothes, and took off the clothes on him.
15 minutes later.
Ji Zhiyao used his palm to flick back and forth through his dripping wet hair. The water droplets brushed off, and his hair freely fell to both sides. The moment his hand reached towards the clothes rail, he froze in the act as if recalling something and turned his head to look at the rail in the other direction.
On several railings, the towels for face, hands, and showering were arranged according to their uses and placed properly. Of course, the most important point was that amongst them, there was no extra, new, towel.
He had forgotten to bring his towel over, and there was obviously no extra towel here.
