Chapter 579 The Tournament of Champions - First Round (5)
After the first match, the other matches were battles between other famous people, but none had titles in their names.
The Gods, and Goddesses seemed slightly bored after the first match. Nothing interesting, or surprising happened. However, that soon changed.
The audience filled the air with their loud cheers, and applause as the fourth environment stage disappeared. Heimdall rode with his white horse, and appeared in the middle of the arena.
Holding his horn, he shouted, \'\'Time for the fifth match!\'\'
The audience cheered, and spectators from the Four Seasons waited with beating hearts. The lottery of the match-ups was exciting!
The screen showed rows of numbers while five names were red, and five were golden. The five fighters had already entered the second round. Their names shone alone on a lone screen, which was adorned with the word \'Round 2\'.
Then, the screen with 88 names left started shuffling, and moving. Soon, two names appeared on the screen, revealing the sixth match.
Heimdall glanced at the screen, and smiled, \'\'Sixth match is between Lady Evelyn, and Lady Noelle!\'\'
The audience became loud after the shocking match-up. The battle between the two lady-titled players was shocking!
\'\'Oh?\'\' Gods, and Goddesses seemed interested.
\'\'Evelyn...\'\' Noelle murmured. She hadn\'t met her before, but had heard rumors. Apparently, she was a real-life idol, and signer. Her reputation was one of the greatest among Lady players.
Her fanbase was crazy, basically radicalists. If someone talked bad about her, everyone would swarm around that person, and destroy him/her. Her fanbase was mostly hated because they were an unreasonable bunch.
Even if the \'bad\' things were true, they would think about silly excuses, even though some don\'t make much sense. Like, the rumor of Lady Evelyn sleeping with the Chairman of her Idol Agency. There was photographic evidence of them kissing.
However, her fans just shrugged it off, and claimed that it was photoshopped. Even though the photo was checked by a professional analyst, who said it was true. They said that he was paid off by the anti-fans.
It was ridiculous.
They were the so-called blind fans.
\'\'Will you be fine?\'\' Xerxus asked.
\'\'Yes, but fighting her sucks...\'\' Noelle clicked her tongue. She was someone who didn\'t care much about her reputation. However, it wasn\'t still fun to be insulted at, which would be the result if he won, or lost the fight.
She stood to her feet, and planted a kiss on Xerxus\' cheek before leaving the room.
Xerxus touched his cheek while watching the environment change on the screen.
The cobblestone ground disappeared.
From the ground, chimneys, and rooftops started appearing. Soon, the environment changed to something no one expected. It was a city arena!
The light shone from the windows, shining on the streets. The roads, and sidewalks were well-cleaned with no trash in sight. All the buildings were filled with nice furniture, and sources of light. They looked like something that was someone\'s home.
\'\'The arena is this time a City!\'\' Heimdall\'s shout echoed from somewhere in the City.
The audience applauded loudly. From their stands, they could see the streets clearly. This was first match that could be watched without the constant need to look at the screens.
Creak... The two doors opened with slams.
\'\'Match begins!\'\'
In the Four Seasons.
\'\'Lady Evelyn!\'\'
Inside a Cosmic Idol Agency, the employees, and other idols stopped their business, and turned their attention to the screens. One of them was fighting in the world\'s greatest spectacle, which was also a great advertisement for their company.
One of the doors opened, and the Cosmic Idol Agency\'s Chairman, Jupiter, leaned against the doorframe while looking at the screen. He was a handsome man with raven-colored hair, and a well-kempt suit.
The female inters, and some of the idols looked at him with admiration. After all, he built the company from scratch. However, lately, he\'d been suffering from some rumors that are aimed at destroying his company.
The rival agencies tried to break the trust his company had. However, they didn\'t expect Lady Evelyn\'s fans to be such extremists. They didn\'t listen to a single word. Jupiter thought it was a stroke of luck. If these fans had even a shred of brain, his company would have been ruined.
There were still rumors floating around, and many news agencies wanted to know whether they were true. Jupiter denied all rumors. But, in truth, all the rumors were true. He had a relationship with Evelyn, and it had lasted for several years.
It\'s not because Jupiter wanted to. Evelyn\'s family was influential, and powerful. He tried to break off this relationship, and before that, he was sort of forced into this relationship. However, Evelyn was crazy about him, and threatened to destroy his company if he even thought about leaving her.
While everyone cheered for Evelyn, hoping for her victory. Jupiter wanted her to lose.
Everywhere in Four Seasons, Lady Evelyn\'s diehard fans cheered for their queen. There were all sorts of fans. Females, males, nerdy-looking, fit-looking, overweight, skinny, and even some of the kings of a country.
They all wished for their \'queen\' to win.
In the Arena.
\'\'Oh my.\'\' A lascivious voice echoed in one of the viewing rooms. It belonged to a woman with otherworldly beauty. She wore a beautiful white robe that enhanced the appeal of her bodily features.
The two large mounds, the largest in the world perhaps, pushed the robes forward, showing incredibly tempting curves. Her beautiful blond hair flowed over her shoulders, going past her two earrings that adorned her delicate ears.
Her servants stood in the sidelines. They gulped dryly, doing everything in their power to not look at her. It didn\'t matter if they were male or female, their hormones went on overdrive in her presence.
\'\'Finally, time for my dear Legacy Carrier...\'\' She licked her soft pinkish lips. The window showed her heart-shaped face, beautiful like no other. Even the bright crystals hanging from ceilings turned pale in her presence.
She was the Goddess of Beauty, Aphrodite, and her legacy carrier was Lady Evelyn.
