Chapter 940 - The Blame Falls on Her

Mo Liuxi had said mean words to her before, but this time, it was different.

Suddenly, she saw Yan Su and Chi Shengxu walk over together, laughing and chatting.

She wiped her tears, walked up to Yan Su, blocked her way and said to her, “Yan Su, do you like Liuxi?”

“What?”

Yan Su was so shocked that her mouth was open wide.

Looking at the angry little girl, she was a little worried. This girl didn’t find out that I’ve slept with Mo Liuxi, did she?’

“I don’t,” she said.

An Ning observed her face, then said unhappily, “Why did you tell him that it was you who made the congee? He thinks that I lied to him. That’s not what I meant. Last night he had a fever. I just wanted him to have some of my congee, so I didn’t mention you to him. Plus, I was helping, wasn’t I? Now he thinks I’m a liar.”

She started to cry. “What did I do wrong? I don’t know how to make congee, but I’m trying my best to learn. I’ll do anything for him.”

Yan Su sighed with relief. It was only because of the congee.

She still felt wronged, though.

“All right. Stop crying.” She handed An Ning some tissue and said, “I didn’t tell him anything. I even spoke for you this morning. He figured it out himself.”

“How could he possibly figure it out?” An Ning took the tissue, raised her head, and looked at Yan Su with a pair of watery eyes. Her eyes were filled with distrust.

Yan Su felt the blame fall upon her. “I met him this morning, and I told him that you’re great. I told him that you even hurt your hand to make congee for him. I told him to cherish you. How am I supposed to know that you lied to him?”

An Ning argued saying, “I have told you that I didn’t lie on purpose. He was ill. I couldn’t tell him all the details, could I?”

Yan Su felt annoyed. “All right. It’s my fault, okay? I shouldn’t talk to him at all. From now on, I won’t say a single word about whatever is going on between you and him. I’m older than both of you. How can I be fond of my best friend’s younger brother, who’s also a junior schoolmate of mine? Can you please stop making assumptions?”

She then walked away from An Ning to order food.

Chi Shengxu glanced at An Ning and laughed. “That girl is young but fierce.”

Yan Su shrugged. “How can a girl not be fierce if she wants to be with Mo Liuxi? The other few girls from your department are as innocent as a piece of unwritten paper.”

Chi Shengxu shrugged and responded with, “You’re right though. I think you should better stay away from her. You are a public figure now. Don’t bring trouble to yourself because of them.”

“Em, I’m aware of that.” Yan Su nodded.

Mo Liuxi sat under a tree in the playground, thinking about An Ning. He found that she was dishonest and she always lied.

Yan Su was different. She told his sister that he liked to look at dirty photos, but that didn’t make him dislike her as much as he disliked An Ning.

Also, Yan Su felt guilty after doing bad things.

An Ning wouldn’t. On the contrary, she always made herself sound very reasonable, meaning that she was born that way.

No matter how much time he spent with her, he wouldn’t like her.

Besides… she probably lied about that night too. The idea flashed across Mo Liuxi’s mind.

He immediately stood up, and drove to the club, as if he just saw a gleam of hope.

In the club, he talked to the manager and told him that he lost his wallet in the club that night and asked to see the surveillance video.

A large club wouldn’t normally show the surveillance videos to the guests.
