Chapter 188 A combo like no others!
“Amelia!” Roy called out to his cute little maid.
She was wearing a waist-length jacket over a nightgown that stuck close to her skin.
It was made of silk.
She didn’t want to wear it as she was just a slave and it was against the empire’s rules for a slave to wear clothes made of silk, but Delilah forced her to change into it, saying that it was no big deal.
There were only friends and family here.
Who would report her to the officials?
Whoever dares would probably experience Roy’s wrath.
Furthermore, chances were that he would not let anyone, even officials of the empire, harm her or take her captive.
She ended up wearing it. She wanted to see how far he would go for her if the worst happened.
The silk against her skin felt good. She couldn’t deny that.
Her upper body was nicely covered, but not her legs.
She wasn’t wearing knee-high socks, and her boots only went up to her ankles.
The cold winds lapped at her bare legs, making her shiver.
She was more thinly dressed than she desired because she left the library in a hurry.
The same could be said for Delilah, but she was used to harsh conditions as she had lived many years as an assassin and suffered a lot in her childhood, so she endured the cold whipping her legs with ease.
“Yes?”
The young maid immediately focused her attention on her master after he called out to her.
“Splash them with acid.”
Amelia wasn’t one to disobey her master’s orders.
So, she immediately agreed to it.
“Sure.”
Moreover, she felt happy as he had finally asked her to do something. She loved being of use to him.
After having a little talk with her, Roy spared Aydin a long glance.
“Aydin, you will be doing the same thing as her but a little extra.”
“What do you want me to do?”
“Shoot out two acid splashes, then cast spell boost on both of them to increase their volume and offensive capabilities.”
“I just learned magic. Will I be able to do that?”
“I know you are capable of doing that. Believe in yourself!”
Juliam stopped thinking that he couldn’t do it after Roy encouraged him.
The last person Roy turned to was the first friend he had made in this new life.
“Julian, please use wind-type magic papers to propel their spells towards the swamp. Can you do that?”
“I can. But I don’t know how that’s going to be helpful in our case.”
“Acid Splash is a spell that creates a wave of acid that’s highly flammable. What do you think will happen when we throw it at them and then suddenly make it grow and set it on fire when it’s close to them? They would have no chance to evade it and burn to death!”
“Ah… I see!”
Trusting him for various reasons, Amelia, Julian, and Aydin followed his command blindly.
“Acid Splash!”
Amelia uttered that to activate her one and only magic spell model by uttering that. The names of some spells need to be said out loud or wordlessly for them to activate. Acid Splash was the first type.
The Acid Splash model sucked in the mana present in her magic sea and glowed brightly in pale green light.
As a result, a 3-meter wide and 5-meter tall acidic ball with steam coming out of it manifested above her and rushed forward and upwards.
It was shooting towards the swarm of flesh rippers.
“Acid Splash! Duplicated Acid Splash!”
At the same time, Julian raised his hands and stretched out his fingers in the direction of the swarm.
Immediately, two waves of acidic liquid manifested before him out of thin air and advanced forward.
He activated the spell boost magic model in order to enhance both of them.
Instantly, their size increased by 50% and they became highly inflammatory.
The three balls burst in mid-air, changing into acidic waves that covered an area of 20 meters.
They were thrown by level 2 mages.
Thus, they exploded and lost momentum before reaching anywhere close to their destination.
The waves fell downwards.
“Carry them to their intended destination! Go!”
Just as it looked like they would fall down from the sky and splash on the ground instead of splashing on the swarm made of flesh rippers, the wind created by the activation of Julian’s magic scrolls whipped them hard, propelling them to higher heights.
“Whoosh!”
A 20-meter wide acidic steam could be seen surging into the air and shooting straight towards the swarm.
The three streams of acid combined looked incomparably small compared to the size of the swamp.
It looked like it would do little to no damage to the swarm.
“That thing isn’t shit compared to us. It won’t harm us!
“Go through it and rip apart the flesh of the humans to have our first meal of the day!”
“Kill the humans!”
“Devour their soft flesh!”
“I can’t wait to taste them!”
Following the command of the strongest members of their tribe, the hesitant flesh rippers charged towards the gigantic acid splash without hesitation, planning to burst through it and descend on the humans like demons.
Seeing what they were up to, Roy smiled and raised his hands above his head.
Wisps of fierce fire rose from his ankles and swirled up his arms, gathering above his palm and fusing into one monstrous fiery entity instantly.
“It’s our turn. I will set it on fire. Julian, you breastfeed it!”
Roy swung his hand forward and the giant ten-meter wide fireball shot forward.
After whizzing through the air at the speed of a bullet, it struck the big steam of acid, setting it on fire.
A 20 meter fire was created in the sky.
It blinded some of the rippers, but it was not enough to deter them.
“Can’t you use normal words to tell me what to do? Did you really have to say something that embarrassing?”
Although Julian could be seen complaining to Roy, he didn’t hesitate before taking out his latest inventions, the wind-burst magic scrolls, from his pocket and throwing them towards the wave of fire.
Hearing his complaint, Roy didn’t feel ashamed. Rather, he rightfully thought, ‘But breastfeeding mages and knights is the job of healers and shamans in the Far West! What else can I say?’
Roy’s complaints were heard by no one.
Roy forgot that shamans would be labeled as such 3 years later.
Currently, only healers are the ones breastfeeding sore losers, healing their wounds with their magic.
The Wind Burst magic scrolls activated in mid-air.
Gigantic gales of wind that could match a tornado in terms of ferocity swirled out of them and moved towards the fiery wave.
The magic scrolls turned to dust after doing their job while the gales made contact with the fire in the sky and made it grow in size.
From merely 20 meters, it grew up to become 100 meters wide.
‘Maybe it can grow even more if I do that!’
It grew even more powerful when Aydin, the smart young boy, cast a spell to boost and enchance it.
A small 150 meters wide river of flame that seemed as ferocious as the breath of a Red Fure Dragon could now be seen burning in the sky, blazing the fabrics of reality itself and leaving behind a trail of fire as it rushed in the direction of the Swarm.
“Change course!”
The leader of the swarm cried out the same order twice, fearing for his and his tribe’s dear lives.
But it was already too late for some of them to move out of the way.
Thousands of them were bound to die.
However, half or more rippers would survive for sure.
“Damn, you are an evil genius.”
Arlo hurled a praise at Roy as he raised his hand and flicked his middle finger towards the swarm.
“The result is quite clear. Even a horde of flesh rippers can’t win against a schemer like you. It’s no use wasting your time with them.”
A wind so mighty that it could only be described as “heavens-rendering” raised around them in the next second.
It was unlike anything they had ever seen before.
The twins moved in a circle in shock, taking in the devastating changes that their surroundings were undergoing.
For some reason, the wind didn’t affect them, but it changed the entire terrain around them.
Trees were uprooted as the wind shot upwards, fanning the river of fire, bellowing for it to grow stronger and bigger.
From merely a hundred and fifty meters in size, it grew to become a terrifyingly large fire river!
The sudden expansion of the river of fire caught the swarm off guard.
They hurriedly scattered left and right to avoid it, but some were too slow, and many bumped into each other on the way out because they were tightly packed, causing them to fall back into its trajectory, and thus they were swallowed whole by the fire river.
Fire was their natural enemy, and when the fire river poured down on them, they were quickly set aflame.
“Chikiek, chi, chi!”
The next second, the sound of meat being roasted and the screams of the rippers filled the air.
“I can hear them getting roasted to death.”
The twins’, Amelia’s, and Julian’ eyes twitched and their guts twisted.
Such savagery!
They weren’t used to it!
