Chapter 184 Not Faithful
Zhao Lifei jumped at his voice, turning around in her position to see a very grumpy grandfather. She looked out the car window and saw it was completely surrounded by men, but they could not see inside because of the tinted windows. Only Old Butler Tang and her grandfather could see her.
"What’s wrong? Why are there so many men?" She hurriedly tried to climb off of Yang Feng’s lap, but he held her in place.
She pushed at his arms, confused at his sudden iron-grip over her body, like a cage. "Let me go." She grumbled, turning her head to directly look at him, but when she saw how abnormally dark his eyes were, her brows knitted together. What exactly was going on?
He bent his head, his lips hovering over ears. "Tell me you’ll see me tomorrow."
Her heart thumped faster at their close proximity, jumping in delight when his hot breath tickled her ears.
"No matter what you hear tonight, swear to me you’ll see me tomorrow." He murmured, refusing to release her until she promised him.
She didn’t think too much of his behavior and figured it was his fear of losing her that prompted him to say such things. She reached up and gently cupped his cheek, "Okay, I will."
Yang Feng pulled back to study her expression.
She wasn’t sure what he was seeking, but when he stared deep into her eyes and relaxed, she knew he had the answer he wanted. Reassurance. That was all he needed.
"Now, be good and let go." She gave his arm a pat and only then did he unwillingly unwrap his arms from around her.
Zhao Moyao did not know what Yang Feng said to her, but for the sake of his granddaughter, he curbed his temper for now. Once she got inside, he would lecture her about her leniency towards the people surrounding Yang Feng.
Zhao Lifei was about to exit the car, but he pulled her back before her foot even brushed the ground. Her eyes widened when he forcibly grabbed her chin, pressing his lips over hers, claiming them and before she could even respond, his lips were gone. She felt dazed, her fingers pressing her lips as she stepped out of the car.
"Don’t forget." Yang Feng instructed her. A ghost of a smile showing on his face when he saw how flushed she was at their small kiss. When she nodded, he finally relaxed.
"Do not keep her from me." Yang Feng warned Zhao Moyao before closing the car door. Hu Wei went back inside the car and started it, driving it off into the distance.

"The nerve of that boy!" Zhao Moyao snarled, angrily pacing back and forth in his study while Zhao Lifei sat on the couch, puzzled by the events that happened when she was asleep. She had been home for fifteen minutes now, but no one had told her what was going on.
"’Do not keep her from me.’ Who does he think he is? I should go back and smack him on the head right now!" Zhao Moyao walked to his desk, opening his drawer to pull out the device that would signal all of the men under him.
"Grandfather! Calm down." Zhao Lifei stood up, took the small device from him and put it back where it belonged.
"What is going on right now? Why are you so angry?" She had her ways of amending his anger, hooking her arms around his and leading him towards the couch. She sat him down, poured a cup of tea for him, and handed it over.
"This anger is not good for your blood pressure. Please have some chamomile tea, it’ll calm your nerves." She gave his arm a pat, a worried expression on her face.
"I want you to stop seeing that man right this instant." Zhao Moyao muttered, taking a sip of the tea, his body relaxing when the warmth traveled to this chest.
Zhao Lifei frowned. "No."
"Xiao Fei—"
"He’s not good with his words, but he treats me very well, grandfather." Never in her life did she have a man dote on her like Yang Feng. The amount of patience he had for her was beyond that of a normal man. Perhaps his plan was finally working, for her heart could not bear being separated from him...
"He is not faithful to you."
Her heart dropped at those familiar words, her face nearly crumbling. Suddenly, it was hard for her to breath. The room was spacious, but the air was suffocating her.
Did...did he cheat on me?
Zhao Moyao was never one who was good at reading emotions so he continued on, "That female secretary of his—"
"He cheated on me with Su Meixiu?" Her voice cracked towards the end.
Zhao Moyao still did not notice her behavior and went on to say, "No. He did not, but the chances of that happening are very likely. That prick defended her during the phone call, expecting me to ignore it!"
Zhao Lifei frowned at his words. Phone call? What phone call?
"Xiao Fei, I reckon you should thoroughly think about this relationship with Yang Feng. I understand he is very loving towards you, but there are many men in this world who will do the same for you." Zhao Moyao placed down the teacup.
"A man who defends another woman when his own is present is not a man who will be loyal to you forever. I know you like him, perhaps even love him, but there is a high possibility he will hurt you in the future."
Zhao Moyao continued, "I understand you’re too afraid of coming off as a clingy woman and that is why you keep your unhappiness bottled up. If you dislike someone that hangs around your lover, you should speak up about it. The more you ignore it, creating excuses for him and yourself, the more you’ll end up hurting yourself."
Zhao Moyao finally saw the broken expression on her face. It pained him to see her like this, so quiet and obedient, not once speaking up against him. He had seen her like this in the past when she discovered Zheng Tianyi had a woman on the side.
Even so, he did not stop speaking, but this time, he decided to tackle the problem head-on. "Su Meixiu is a very tricky little thing. On one hand, she is a very useful secretary to Yang Feng, but on the other hand, she can and will try her best to threaten your relationship with him."
He continued on, "That girl, not only has she wormed her way into the hearts of his parents, but also into that of Old Master Yang, who deems her a very suitable candidate for marriage."
At this, Zhao Lifei’s head snapped up. She’d known there was something more to Su Meixiu than what met the eyes and this was it. She had spread her roots to many enough people that it will not be easy to cut off.
Zhao Moyao was surprised to hear the powerful declaration. He turned to her and was amazed to see how fast her behavior had changed. The unhappiness and pain were no longer evident on her face. Replacing it was the strong and confident woman he had honed her to be. There was a flicker of emotion in her eyes, burning like a phoenix in the dead of the night, refusing to give up this fight.
