Chapter 336: Enhanced Crafty Approach!

Chapter 336: Enhanced Crafty Approach!

Li Mo’s father, Li Guan, was still maintaining a considerable amount of restraint. He flashed a smile at Xia Fei; Xia Fei raised his wine glass and offered a light nod in return.

“The Li family’s father and son are constantly trying to get you killed, so why are you still being so polite to them?” Phantom was puzzled.

Xia Fei did not feel that he had done anything wrong. “What’s the point of being angry at them? It’s not like I can kill him. What we need now is an opportunity, so before that happens, let them jump around a bit more these few days.”

Phantom saw a glint of coldness flashing across Xia Fei’s eyes and knew that the latter really had the intention of killing the father-son duo. The Lis were ultimately the leading financiers in the Pan-human Alliance, so it was hardly an easy matter trying to off them, which was why Xia Fei had been so patient, waiting for the right opportunity.

Xia Fei was very courteous toward Li Mo in the restaurant, but those lads from the Adjudicator Union, with Bean taking the lead, were not as polite in the restroom.

Just as Li Mo lifted his trousers after he was done with his business and was about to make his way back, he suddenly discovered that there were twenty or so teenagers under twenties who were staring at him with ill intent. He frowned. This was the restroom, so it was evident that something was amiss when there were so many people crowding inside the place but not peeing.

‘No one should dare act brazenly since this is a carnival being hosted by The Brotherhood,’ Li Mo thought to himself.

Just as he moved to exit the restroom, someone gave him a shove from behind all of a sudden.

Li Mo stumbled over and he went plunging right toward a short man with small eyes, who sprawled down in front of him.

This short man was of course the friend whom Xia Fei had just gotten to know, Bean. Li Mo had not even touched this stranger when he suddenly saw the latter lie down on the ground.

“D*mn! Brothers, this rascal is trying to murder me!” Bean said shamelessly as he lay there on the ground.

Li Mo struggled to get up to his feet, wondering to himself, ‘I was the one who fell down, so how did this become a murder attempt on you? Who knows which bastard it was that pushed me from behind too.’

*Pow!*

The short-tempered Hammer sent an uppercut right to Li Mo’s chin, knocking out two of his pearly whites as blood spurted out.

“You dare try and beat up our brother? Brothers, let’s cripple this man!”

Over twenty teenagers pounced upon Li Mo, not even leaving any room for discussion as they pinned him down to the ground and proceeded to rain a flurry of kicks and punches on him.

“Come! Let’s wake this rascal up, so he can better open his eyes and see who he’s fighting,” The skinny and tall Monkey said sinisterly.

Everyone carried Li Mo, now beaten black and blue, over in front to the nearest toilet bowl, opened the lid and proceeded to shove his head down inside.

Bean was rubbing his chin treacherously as his finger went for the flush and gave it a light push.

*Flush!*

Icy-cold water gushed out and poured into Li Mo’s mouth and nose.

Li Mo, who was a wealthy princeling, was of course incapable of suffering such an affront. His blood boiled and his whole body shuddered. He wanted to scream, but doing so only caused even more water to flow down his throat and into his stomach. The poor Prince Li had not even had his fill of food, yet he already had had his fill of toilet water.

Bean cackled menacingly as he unzipped his trousers and brought his thing near Li Mo’s head, ready to relieve himself. Sadly, a good moment passed yet nothing came out.

“Crap! I think I’m having stage fright,” Bean said dejectedly.

“Let me do it!”

“I’ll help!”

“I’ve already been holding it in for a long time myself!”

Relentless streams of piss flowed forth, and Li Mo could feel warmth spread from his scalp down. A strong ammonia smell filled his nostrils before he realized what was happening; he was so upset that he began crying, wailing like a pig being slaughtered.

“Hey, tag me in!”

Bean let forth his strongest flow, so much so that Li Mo nearly passed out from the fumes.

......

Li Mo’s howling and wails had attracted the attention of the restaurant staff, and seeing how bad news always spread the fastest, it did not take long for the restroom to be filled with people standing outside. Even Xia Fei curiously made his way over to find out what was going on.

All he saw was Li Mo tortured to a state of abject misery, sprawled on the ground in a daze as he looked at the floor, not even making a sound.

“Son! Just what is going on here?” Li Guan came rushing over in his shock as he went to hold his son in his arms.

“Someone pushed me... Someone pushed me...” Li Mo mumbled repeatedly.

“This rascal tried to beat up my brother, and that’s his outcome,” loudly declared the big idiot Hammer for all to hear.

Li Guan stood up with an overcast expression, looking as if he was about to teach this bunch of young masters a lesson personally.

That was when someone stepped up beside Li Guan and whispered something to his ear.

“So you’re the grandson of the Adjudicator Union’s Elder Mudo.”

Hammer nodded arrogantly. “So?”

Li Mo’s eyes scanned Bean and his pack. Even in his worst dreams he would not have guessed that these teenagers were all the sons and grandsons of the Adjudicator Union’s upper echelon. He did some quick maths in his heart before steeling his expression. He picked his son up, beaten and humiliated to the point he had lost all senses, and actually walked away without turning back once. He casually glanced at Xia Fei right before he left, but he did not do anything else.

“That man must die!” Xia Fei growled to himself, a slight tremble in his voice.

“Why?” Phantom curiously asked.

“Because he’s someone who can endure. Any man whose son has been shamed to such a degree in front of everyone will have exploded in a fit of rage, yet he himself held back from doing so. Such a man is very dangerous.”

“Indeed, What Li Guan did isn’t something any average human can accomplish. The flames of rage withheld inside him must be extremely intense, and I have no doubt that he isn’t someone to be unrderestimated once it erupts.”

Throwing a glance at the retreating figure of Li Guan and Li Mo, Xia Fei said, “He reminds me of a breed of dog back on Earth called the Tosa. They originated from Japan and won’t bark or make any sound from birth. They’ll slowly and quietly get near their enemies and bite them outrightly. Their jaws won’t let go, unless they’re killed.”

...

Returning to his room, Xia Fei could no longer hold himself back as he took out that meteor ball he had exchanged for today and played with it.

The craftsmanship of the box was worthy of mention, and holding it in his hands, he could feel its weight and sturdiness. There were several buttons on its back, used respectively to start, stop, and adjust both its area and mode.

There were two modes: First was a game, and second was professional. What Xia Fei had first tried today was the game mode.

Xia Fei gave it some thought and pushed the button lightly with his finger, changing the mode to professional before starting the meteor ball.

The professional mode did not seem to be more difficult; Xia Fei only used just a handful of minutes to catch all twelve meteors in hand.

“Why did it seem like it’s become easier?” Xia Fei muttered to himself.

Just as he said this, the meteors in his hand suddenly flew up in the air once more, and it was faster in terms of its flight speed or its intelligent capacity to avoid capture than before.

“So the professional mode is a stage by stage increment, going from easy to difficult!” Phantom excitedly stated.

Xia Fei nodded. “That does seem to be the case. I wonder what’s the fastest these meteors can go?”

*Whoosh!*

Exerting strength, Xia Fei used his dexterous body to pit himself against these balls. This time, it took him about twenty minutes to capture all the meteors completely.

That was when the third stage of this professional mode activated!

Xia Fei saw as the meteors flying in the air shrank in half their size, and their speed increased from before!

Xia Fei still had to capture these meteors, but it was much harder to catch something smaller. This time, Xia Fei did not have an easy go, only capturing all twelve meteors after a long and hard struggle for a hundred minutes.

Though maintaining such high speeds over a long period left Xia Fei very tired, the new discovery of the meteor ball excited him so much that he went ahead and attempted the even harder stage 4.

This time, the color of the meteors all turned black, shrinking in size by half again and doubling in speed! The difficulty of stage 4 was at least four times more than stage 3!

“I can’t believe you’re right. The meteor ball is indeed useful for training your physical agility. Unfortunately, while these meteors are extremely wily, there are just too few of them. If there were thirty of such constantly interfering with your vision at least, then that’d be called real training. Plus, this room is too small for you to train this way.”

Phantom’s commentary reminded Xia Fei of that. He turned the meteor ball off and made his way to the beach by himself. “This is big enough, right?”

“Yup. Try and increase the area to five hundred meters and give it a whirl.”

*Whoosh!*

Once the area expanded, the difficulty of the meteor ball increased. Xia Fei had only trained inside his room earlier, so it was hard for the meteor ball to unleash its fullest potential. Now, these meteors were like wild horses that had become unbridled, madly galloping around Xia Fei.

“Great! Now, that’s better!” Xia Fei’s eyes lit up as he leaped high in the air, chasing after a green meteor.

......

Night turned into dawn, and Xia Fei kept playing with the meteor ball to train his agility. When the sun started to appear over the horizon, Xia Fei had finally managed to catch the last meteor ball in his hand.

That was when a screen suddenly appeared out from the box, with words appearing across it: ‘Warm up mode completed. Automatically activating primary mode.’

*Ping!*

The twelves meteors suddenly split, and their numbers increased by several times!

Xia Fei patiently counted them all. “A total of 144 meteors!”

Phantom was thrilled. “That’s great! Since there’re 144 meteor balls, the efficiency of your training will definitely increase. Plus, this is simply the primary mode. There’s no telling what the advanced mode will be like! That Monkey teenager has eyes but failed to see Taishan; this was clearly a great physical agility training system, yet he used it like a toy.”

“If he knew the value of these meteors, how would I even be able to obtain it?” Xia Fei chuckled. “I’m so hungry; I’m gonna go grab a bite. We can later try how different it’ll be to chase after over a hundred of these meteors.”

Returning to his hotel, he happened to bump into Bean and his gang. They were looking for Xia Fei to play, but he found an excuse to reject their invitation politely.

After having his fill of sustenance, Xia Fei took a shower and left his room. There were quite a number of people out on the beach during the day, so Xia Fei went south to a hill off the beaten track, ready to begin his training there.

“Xia Fei, I realized that your agility had improved quite a lot after last night’s training with the meteor ball. First, give your Crafty Approach a go,” Phantom suggested.

“Okay.”

Xia Fei calmly executed the Assassin Sect’s ultimate martial arts technique, Crafty Approach. Xia Fei discovered from just taking the first step that his footwork had become a lot more lithe and adroit than before. His body had also become way more flexible.

Due to Crafty Approach requiring a high level of physical flexibility, Xia Fei originally needed to endure extreme pain whenever he used it. This was because all the inexplicable motions that the martial arts technique made him move were all highly irregular.

Today, Xia Fei instead felt that there was this unprecedented sense of ease, and when he attempted all the hardest motions, not only did his movement range increase, the pain he used to feel was no longer that intense as before!

Phantom witnessed this clearly from the sidelines, and he could hardly contain his excitement as he blurted out, “Xia Fei, your techinque has improved! Who would’ve thought that the meteor ball would be able to improve the flexibility of your body greatly. Oh, heavens! This is practically an enhanced Crafty Approach!”
