Chapter 80 - Do I Answer To You Now?
Chapter 80 - Do I Answer To You Now?
When the car was about to drive off, Mrs. Li saw the car and waved at it. She didn\'t know why she flagged the car. But when she saw Jia Li was in the car, she felt grateful that she didn\'t miss the opportunity.
The car window was rolled down, so Mrs. Li was able to see Jia Li properly.
"Aunty, are you coming to see me?" Jia Li asked after she greeted her.
"Yes. I came to visit you, but it looks like I came at the wrong time." Mrs. Li replied as she peered inside the car.
Seeing the old man, she quickly looked away.
"Aunty, I\'m leaving for another city for a while, so we can\'t talk now." Jia replied.
"It\'s okay. It\'s good to go away for some time. You need to remove the negative feelings." Mrs. Li said with a smile.
Jia Li smiled back at her.
"Alright, I won\'t keep you waiting." Mrs. Li said as she waved her hand.
"Bye." Jia Li said as she waved back before the car window rolled up.
As the car zoomed off, Mrs. Li glanced at the tightly shut doors of the Qin\'s house and sighed to herself, then she walked back to her house.
Grandfather Fu sighed in relief. How could he not tell the intentions of Mrs. Li?
Even on the day of her visit with Li Huang, he could tell that the young man liked her. And he knew if he didn\'t convince Jia Li to come along with him, the relationship between her and the Li\'s will grow.
And if that happens, Jia Li will be a little distant from him, then how would he get her to marry his grandson?
Jia Li felt better as she glanced at her surroundings. Seeing the buildings, the people, and everything else she saw on her journey, she felt at peace.
When they approached the Fu Villa, Jia Li sighed as she thought about how she would be living in this place from now onwards.
At last, when Jia Li got out of the car, Grandfather smiled at her as he said, "Jia Li, welcome to the Fu Family."
Jia Li managed a smile as she replied, "Thank you, Grandfather!"
"Come, let\'s go in!" Grandfather Fu said to her as he raised his hand towards her. Jia Li took his hand and walked into the house with him, while the butler and her servant, followed behind with their suitcases.
When they stepped into the house, Fu Hee was already making her way towards them.
With a smile, she greeted Grandfather Fu before turning to Jia Li to say with a smile, "Jia Li, please accept my condolences. I was not able to make it to the funeral because I had to manage the household."
"There is no problem, Aunty, I understand." Jia Li replied politely.
"Fu Hee, let her come in as rest." Grandfather Fu\'s said with a slight frown. Fu Hee nodded and allowed Jia Li to pass.
"Where is everybody?" Grandfather Fu asked.
"Everybody is home except Fu Hua and Fu Wei." Fu Hee replied.
Turning to Jia Li, Grandfather Fu said, "Jia Li, go to your room and rest. When it\'s time for dinner, someone will call you."
"Okay, grandfather." Jia Li said and left after giving a slight nod.
"Fu Hee, did you not tell everybody that I will be back today?" Grandfather Fu asked.
"I did. Everybody knows you will be back. I also told them you will be coming back with Jia Li." Fu Hee replied.
"Good. Since no one wants to welcome this old man, I will go up by myself." Grandfather Fu said as he started to walk away.
"Grandfather, who says no one wants to welcome you, am I not here?" YingPei said with a carefree smile as he walked towards the old man with spread-out hands.
"Move away from my sight!" Grandfather Fu said to him with a stubborn frown.
Who was YingPei? He is the shameless one of the Fu Family.
Fu YingPei refused to leave and instead walked side by side with him.
"Grandfather, let me escort you to your room." He insisted.
"Am I a child?" Grandfather Fu asked with a frown.
"You are not but you are my elder." Fu YingPei said with a smile as he followed the old man to his bedroom.
Grandfather Fu was obviously enjoying the fact that he was being fawned at, by his grandson, so he didn\'t insist on pushing him away.
Fu Hee smiled from the side. She knew the others would be in trouble for not coming out to greet the man when he returned after 12 days.
Someone like Fu ChunHua who had nothing doing would get into trouble because she didn\'t show her respect and she couldn\'t wait to gloat on her.
When it was time for dinner, Fu Hua finally came back home with his father. He went to work and later both of them met somewhere to settle some work together.
When Jia Li came over for dinner, everyone gave her a warm response. They were not surprised to see her back to the house because the old man already informed them he would be coming back with her.
But the next news they heard, shocked all of them.
After dinner, it was normal for them to talk about one or two matters.
So, Grandfather Fu called the attention of everybody and he said to them in a clear tone as he glanced at each one of them.
"From today onwards, Jia Li is a part of the Fu Family and she will be staying with us!"
Grandfather Fu spoke with an unreputable tone. This announcement shocked every member of the family, including Fu Hua.
He was with the old man for several days but he didn\'t mention anything like that.
\'Did he purposely hide this from me, or did he just make the decision?\' Fu Hua thought.
Although the reaction caused the family to be shocked, they still tried to mask their surprised gazed and gasps of shocks.
Grandfather Fu felt better with their reactions. If they had done something out of point and cause Jia Li to be embarrassed or feel wronged, he would have dealt with all of them.
"Jia Li, this is your home now, and we are one family. Feel free to make your demands, nobody will say anything to you." Grandfather Fu said to Jia Li.
Jia Li managed a smile as she nodded with her head bowed. She was a little bit tense, as she was worried about the reaction of the rest of the family members would be.
Fu Hee was the first person to break the silence. She smiled and was welcoming just like the matriarch of the family would do.
She welcomed Jia Li to the Fu Family with a smile, followed by Fu Juan and then the rest.
As for Fu Hua, he did not say a word. He was also the first person to leave the dining area.
Jia Li noticed that he had only glanced at her once and that was when he stepped in and saw her sitting there.
She also noticed that he didn\'t welcome her as the others did.
\'Does he hate me for coming to stay?\' She asked herself with a frown. As she couldn\'t fathom the thoughts of Fu Hua, she was a little uncomfortable.
This was the same man that allowed her to feel comfortable in his embrace the few times she needed someone\'s comfort.
But what was this attitude he was showing her?
Did he do all that because I was not mentally stable, so he tried to comfort me?
As all of these thoughts were going through Jia Li\'s mind, Fu Hua took the stairs to his room, and when he stepped in, he took his phone out from his pocket and glanced at the caller ID.
Just now at the dining table, he felt his phone vibrate on his body and because he knew who was calling, he had to leave the dining area to answer the call.
"Fu Hua, what took you so long to answer the call, you have been avoiding me since you came back, did I do something wrong?" Feng Alix asked worriedly.
"You did nothing wrong to me, I have been busy with work. Just now, I was at the dining area. The others were there, so I have to come to my room to answer your call." Fu Hua explained as he pinched the space between his brows.
"Fu Hua, don\'t get me wrong, but I feel like there is a wall between us. Where did your grandfather send you? You abandoned me and didn\'t tell me anything until now. At a time, you were declining my calls!"
"Do I answer to you now? Since when do I have to report my movements to you? In this relationship, you were the one that said we should keep it from everybody, and that is the reason no one in my family and circle knows you are my girlfriend! So, what\'s your problem now?"
