Chapter 793
In front of a Thunderstorm Tank, Tian Lie was holding a Player up by his hair, leaving him hanging before him.
The Player had quite the tall stature. But when compared to Tian Lie, he was still about two heads shorter. His legs kicked the air constantly, but they simply could not reach the ground.
Both his arms had been broken and they hung limply on either side.
Corpses were strewn on the ground.
The muzzle turret of the other two Thunderstorm Tanks were aimed at Tian Lie while the surrounding Players surrounded him. Even so, none of them opened fire.
There was a look of fear on each of their faces.
“Say my name.” Tian Lie looked at the Player that he was holding, a cruel smile on his face.
“If I don’t hear my name from your mouth in five seconds, I will break your two legs. In ten seconds…”
Tian Lie did not continue, but his gaze had already fallen upon the man’s crotch.
“Sir… Sir Tian Lie! You… you are Sir… Tian Lie!”
The lisping words came out intermittently from the Player’s wounded mouth.
“Very good.” Tian Lie nodded satisfactorily. Like throwing away a broken toy, he tossed the man to the side.
No one stepped forward to help him up.
Nicole was standing behind Tian Lie, her hands behind her back as she pursed her lips to the side.
This fellow had quite the reputation within Thorned Flower Guild.
“Now, those of you still standing, you should remember me, right?” Tian Lie swept his gaze around. “Are there any more runts who do not believe that I am Tian Lie?”
Silence.
Not a single person there chose to question him.
That data stream and liquid metal body that was impervious to practically all physical attacks, possessing high resistance towards energy attacks and a high recovery rate against any received damage.
And… the awe-inspiring atmosphere of dominance that he exuded.
There was no longer any doubt about it. This person standing before them was that man.
One of the Inspectors of Thorned Flower Guild. Someone that everyone had assumed was dead…
Sir Tian Lie!
“The Team Leader for Team B, is it still Gaza?” Tian Lie asked coolly.
No one answered.
“You.” Tian Lie pointed at the Player closest to him, a man sporting a moustache. “Answer me.”
Seeing Tian Lie pointing at him, the Player swiftly nodded and said in a quavering tone, “Yes, our Team Leader is still Gaza!”
“Is he inside?”
Tian Lie pointed at the camp with his chin.
The moustache guy hastily nodded.
“Very good. Bring me to him.”
The moustache guy grew hesitant.
Although Sir Tian Lie was very scary…
Their Team Leader’s fury was equally scary.
“Tian Lie, it’s really… you. You’re actually still alive.”
The black man slowly emerged from a dark corner of the camp, his eyes staring coldly at Tian Lie.
“Gaza, it’s been a while.” Tian Lie turned around. “To see that I’m not dead, do you feel like your happiness was for naught?”
“I just don’t understand why the Guild Leader would announce to all that you are already dead.” Gaza spoke with the tone of an equal, but his eyes were filled with wariness. “But that’s fine. If you really want to die, I can grant your wish.”
“Can it, Gaza. You think you can do that with your Magic Mech? Or with these runts you call your subordinates? Why don’t you give them some extra pair of balls and ask them if they dare attack me?” Tian Lie responded with a violent laugh.
“Our Thorned Flower Guild has rules. You should know it very well. Is there a need for balls to kill off a traitor who ran away?” Gaza sneered.
“A traitor who ran away?” Tian Lie stretched out his finger and picked his nose with it, showing a look of ridicule. “What is this? Does the mere Team Leader of Team B possess the authority to announce that an Inspector is a traitor? Or, did the amazing Gaza become the Guild Leader of Thorned Flower Guild?”
“Enough, Tian Lie!” Gaza roared. “Just what do you want? Out with it!”
“What else?” Tian Lie laughed loudly. “Naturally, I want to complete this instance dungeon. Hand over the meteorite!”
“Kill him!”
Gaza promptly shouted. At the same time, his feet kicked and his body swiftly flew backwards.
A giant mech had suddenly appeared behind him.
Although the size of this mech was not comparable to Roddy’s Gundam, it was several times bigger compared to a Sentinel mech. The biggest difference was that it did not appear to have many technological elements on it. Instead, a high number of distorted magic arrays could be seen drawn upon its surface.
Back when Gaza jumped back earlier, the front part of the mech’s torso had abruptly opened up to reveal a hollow area in the abdomen. The walls inside were filled with tissue structure resembling that of blood vessels.
This Magic Mech appeared like the combination of a living creature and machine.
The other members of Thorned Flower Guild grew stunned, but only for less than half a second. Following Gaza’s command, they swiftly aimed their weapons at Tian Lie and Nicole, who was behind him.
Those equipped with melee and bullet-type weapons did not join the battle. Instead, they quickly backed away. Only those with various energy-type and spirit-type weapons chose to focus their attacks on Tian Lie.
“A bunch of idiots.” Tian Lie scoffed, his body already submerging into the ground.
The very next moment, he emerged at a spot with the highest number of members from the Thorned Flower Guild. He held in each hand a long black sword.
Like a hurricane, the swords caused blood-coloured flowers to bloom from the crowd.
Nicole, on the other hand, immediately activated her thrusters and charged into the crowd at a high velocity.
The Thorned Flower Guild had too many men. Most importantly, their equipment were also good.
If she were to put some distance between herself and them, it was just a matter of time before their high number of firepower overwhelmed her.
Thus, the only way to defeat them was to engage in a melee battle.
In terms of lethality, the Ion Pulse Sword on Nicole’s right arm was stronger than Tian Lie’s sword. In the face of the sword’s green light, the protective suits of the average member of Thorned Flower Guild were easily cut. Even the wounds it inflicted were charred black.
In the battle, the most useless weapons were actually the three Thunderstorm Tanks.
Due to how close they were, the turrets on the Thunderstorm Tanks were simply incapable of catching up to the two enemies’ movement speed. Even when they could successfully target the two, the fact that they were always in the middle of so many of their members meant that they were incapable of firing without accidentally wounding their own members.
Only a few weapons could hit Tian Lie. Countless beams of light struck Tian Lie’s body, burning his liquid metal body. Due to the difference in power, the beams could not instantly kill off Tian Lie. Even so, they managed to cause his body to shrink continuously.
A roar rang out and the Magic Mech – after Gaza entered it – moved. The Magic Mech’s two palms clasped one another and eight fingers were stretched out. Next, one halo of light after another shot out.
The halos did not fly in the straight line. Instead, seemingly guided by something, they swiftly went after Tian Lie.
Despite Tian Lie’s monstrous body, he appeared somewhat fearful of the halos. Unlike the other attacks, he dared not take the halos head on. Instead, he kept avoiding them again and again.
However, the Magic Mech kept firing. The number of halos chasing Tian Lie grew increasingly high.
“That woman! Idiot!”
In but a few short seconds, Gaza had realized that Nicole was much weaker than Tian Lie.
Surprisingly, her equipment was a Floater.
The woman… was a Floating Angel from Zero City?
How ridiculous.
Tian Lie’s nickname was the Angel Killer. How did he end up getting involved with Zero City’s Floating Angel?
Moreover… Zero City, didn’t it disappear a long time ago?
However, those were not important. The important issue here was, even though the Floater’s defensive strength was strong, it was still a far cry from Tian Lie’s terrifying physique.
Nicole’s movement speed was very fast. Even so, she was still incapable of evading all the attacks. She could only do her best to avoid the attacks aimed at her vital areas. In but moments, a good number of gashes had appeared on the surface of the Floating mech armour.
Although the Floater possessed the automatic ability to recover, it was not something that could recover itself quickly during battle.
Since there was no way to kill off Tian Lie immediately, they would kill off this woman first.
Under Gaza’s order, a good number of their team members aimed their guns at Nicole.
Several Players with strong melee abilities had already surrounded Nicole. While the weapons they wield may not be able to take on the might of the Ion Pulse Sword, they were able to rely on their high-grade combat skills to evade the collision between their weapons.
It did not take long before more gashes appeared on the Floating mech armour that Nicole was wearing.
“Sigh… she never listens.”
Tian Lie secretly shook his head. Sighing softly, his body suddenly twisted and his right hand punched through a protective suit and into a Player’s chest. Gripping the Player’s thoracic vertebrae, he flung the Player forward.
Like a cannonball, the Player crashed into several of the formidable Players beside Nicole.
One of the Players was holding an European two-handed great sword with the length of an average human. Roaring, he hacked the incoming corpse of his team member. The corpse was easily cut into two. The very next second, however, he saw Tian Lie rushing towards him.
There was a savage grin on Tian Lie’s face.
