Chapter 445 Emerald Harbor, Part 2/2

POV Admiral Agabar:

The white layer of ice and frost painted the sea, the fortress, and the ships white. The admiral\'s fingers were blackened from the frostbite that was slowly eating to his bones.

"Look at you mortals. You have damaged my ally. You should have just laid down your weapons and stopped this futile resistance. Now, suffer the consequences." The terrifying voice came from all directions, crushing and shattering all his hopes and plans.

The admiral tumbled to his chair with his skin pale as if he saw his death, \'Chrysanthemum, what have you done to ally with this thing?\'. The already hopeless situation of facing the eternal empire turned even worse.

"I, Vesuvius condemn you to death."

The claw, tall and wide as the fortress\'s towers, descended from the sky, the clouds and lightning spinning around it. It glowed with runic letters engraved into its crystal material.

\'Ohh, the lord of seas, help me.\'

The name struck his fear as it was the name of the dragon declared to be the enemy by all the churches.

\'So they allied with the dragon... this is bad. I need to warn the king.\' Admiral stood up and pushed back all his fear and hopelessness. Even though he was going to die, he had to fulfill his duty.

He turned to sprint as he barged out of his office, ignoring the questioning looks of the guards on his back.

The dragon\'s claw moved and stirred the clouds like a titanic spoon. The webbing of lightning expanded out of it and covered the entire sky.

The admiral ran through the long stone corridors of the fortress, the light entering through the windows by his right hand, the terrifying scenery outside them urging him to speed up.

Then the bolts of lightning descended upon his fleet outside. His body froze in shock as he could only stare out the window and watch his men die.

\'It is over... this fortress is as good as lost.\'

The blinding light forced him to avert his eyes and pray for the souls of his sailors.

\'Shall the gods bless you for your valiant deaths.\', his heart sunk and his hope to hold the fort was gone forever.

The ice exploded with millions of fragments flying in every direction while the blue barrier of mana dissipated into nothingness.

He kept running while the storm of destruction engulfed the fleet outside the windows. He gulped down, sweat pouring down his temple, \'This not a force that we can fight against. However, I must send the warning.\'

POV Sailor Player:

A player on board a ship was frozen as he watched the enemy fleet vanish out of existence.

\'So this a power of a world threat. No, they only poke with their claw. They are only playing with their food. The entire fleet wasn\'t even worth for them to take it seriously.\'

More and more lightning bolts pierced through the sky and rained upon the stone fortification of the previously threatening fortress. The blue dome of light enveloped it all in its protective embrace, the lightning sliding off its surface.

\'Can it hold?\' Excitement pushed back his confusion at the dragon mysteriously appearing and helping them win the battle. Until now, he had no idea they were even allies, but now he could only admire its power while pitying their enemies.

"Who is attacking?" The worst was they couldn\'t even see the source of the attack, the dragon hidden above their heads. It was as if the storm gained its sentience and decided to wage war against the fortresses\' defenders.

\'This world is so stupid... how can anyone live in such a place?\'

The lightning became even brighter, with each arc thickening with its power rising. Then they struck the barrier again and pierced through it, creating swarms of blue sparks and transmitting ripples through its cracking surface.

The tall towers, gates, and walls were all lit up by the current flowing through them, with arcs of electricity jumping between them. The stone melted, wood caught on fire, and windows shattered.

"Did we just win?"

"I guess..."

The voices of every got stuck in their throats as a giant shadow befell upon them, the entire sea going berserk.

POV Vesuvius:

The dragon\'s mind focused as a powerful aura awakened deep in the water beneath him. Mana flowed in every water current below him, gathering and concentrating into a single focal point.

The sea violently lashed around, water waves trying to reach the sky, growing dozens of meters high as if trying to drag him down into its rageful waters.

"Dragon! How do you dare to enter my territory and cause trouble?" A booming voice akin to the depths of the sea blasted out, and a giant form appeared on the horizon.

The tall humanoid raised out of the sea. Its tall, bulking mass, as tall as mountains, walked through the sea, each of its steps sending a massive tsunami across it. Its skin was aquamarine blue with fish-like scales all over it. Its green hair and beard of interwoven seaweed and snakes moved with its own life.

The colorful corals were forged into its armor and trident, easily large enough to split the fortress in half. The water gushed down its back like a waterfall of waves, forming a majestic royal cloak.

\'Sea giant, no, this is far more powerful. So it must be a sea titan!\' It was a monster of legends, sinking entire islands in fits of anger while escorting and protecting those it favored.

Titans were a force standing at the peak of the giant bloodline, their power strong enough to make them one of the world\'s rulers, each with their own legends.

\'Still inferior to us, true dragons.\'

"Leave now, dragon. I want no conflict with you."

Vesuvius was shocked as he had already prepared to fight, \'That is surprisingly reasonable.\'

"I shall. I have done for what I have come. I also have no intention to wage war against you." He already had too many enemies, and declaring war against the being considered by sailors and the coastal countries to be an unstoppable calamity would be useless.

\'If it were only fighting against this one, it would be acceptable. However, they are leaders of their race, and attacking one of them would create a massive conflict.\' He wasn\'t afraid of war, but knowing how treacherous and slimy the gods were, he would bet they would use it to their advantage and potentially attack him or his empire at the worst moment.

Previously, he would fight just out of his pride, but he no longer felt like it, as his will tamed the originally uncontrollable emotions of his boiling blood.

Vesuvius looked at the titan one more time and opened his mouth, "Tell me, what do you think of the sea god?"
