Chapter 472 New Arrival
"Haha, yes. I just did. I just have certain ways of staying ahead of the competition." Leon laughed.
"I see. Then don't slack. I will catch up with you soon enough." Dyson's eyes flashed and he sat back. "I don't mind joining your faction, by the way." He muttered under his breath.
"That's good. But I just want to clarify something. We will not be opposing the Gods of Datar or anything. I just want to unify those of us that have been brought here from other worlds. If we do not unite, then Gods that share the same opinion as Tiphone will continue to push us around." Leon clarified.
"We have no problem with your ideals and goals for this faction. I believe none of us want to be looked down on. We should have no problems working together." Dean nodded.

Meanwhile, back on Datar...
A small caravan that looked to have come from a rich background steadily made its way through the territory of the Cromwell Empire. Whenever it was stopped by the patrols and soldiers that stood at checkpoints, it did not take long before the caravan was let through.
Eventually, the caravan arrived at the city that was located at the base of the floating capital of the Cromwell Empire. The city around Fort White had been named Base City. Leon had no idea how the name had come about, but he did not really put much thought into finding out. He simply accepted it as it was.
The door of the central carriage in the caravan swung open and a young man stepped out. His brown hair appeared to look even richer under the bright sun as he looked around. He looked up at the floating city and sighed.
'Finally, I have arrived here. I hope I can find her.' He thought to himself.
The young man was none other than Curtis Gladius, the young master of the Gladius Family which Leon had saved once before outside Fort Bender!
"Young master." The coachman came down and approached Curtis. This coachman was Benny, who had been Curtis' close aide for many years.
"Ah, Benny. Is it not a wonderful day today?" Curtis grinned at the older man.
"You only say that because your dream might come true." Benny made a face. "I will go and ask around for a bit of information. Just rest for now." He turned to leave.
Curtis looked at the midsized inn that they had rented out. It was called Home of Renewal. It was indeed a homely little thing. Curtis took note of the soft and warm decorations that gave the inn a welcoming aura as he walked up to the receptionist.
After getting the key from the young lady who blushed as he spoke to her, he made his way up to his private room.
Click!
The lock clicked in the door as Curtis locked it. He looked around, appreciating the spacious room. A large king sized bed was placed opposite the door, against the wall on the far end of the large room. Beside the bed was a nightstand and over that was a sizeable window. There were a couple other windows on other sides of the room too.
Curtis walked over to the bed and sat down on it, leaning back on his arms. He looked up and sighed.
"I came all this way... I hope she still remembers me." He whispered before falling back on the bed.
.
.
A couple of hours later, a soft knock sounded against the door of the room and Curtis walked over to it, wondering if Benny was back. He fastened his towel around his waist and walked up to the door then opened it.
Instead of Benny, however, he was met with the sight of a white haired man that had a small smile on his face.
"I assume you are Curtis Gladius, yes?" The white haired man asked, his red pupils pinned on Curtis.
As soon as he heard the question, Curtis had a bad feeling. He immediately jumped back and brought out a sword from the spatial ring he always kept around his finger. He never took it off, not even when taking a bath.
"Who wants to know?" Curtis asked, his voice taking on an edge.
"The son of the precious maiden you have your eyes set on." The white haired man responded and Curtis immediately felt a powerful killing intent flood the room, all aimed at him. The smile fell off the face of the white haired man and a slim, white dagger appeared in his hand instead. He stepped into the room and in the next moment, a flash of white light engulfed the both of them.
"Woah!" Curtis felt the ground underneath his feet shift, almost throwing him off balance. Before his eyes adjusted, he got into a defensive stance and spread his senses out to prepare for any sneak attack. However, none came and his sight was able to adjust just well.
"I will not attack you when you are unprepared. What would mother think if I took such an underhanded means?" The man shook his head and said. "Instead, I will fight you head on!"
"Curtis Gladius of the Gladius Family! I challenge you to a duel!" The white haired man pointed his dagger at Curtis and declared, his voice rising around him.
It was then that Curtis realized that he had been teleported out of the inn and into an arena of some sort. All around him, many white haired people could be seen, looking down at the two of them from the stands. They all remained silent but their disdainful gaze toward Curtis spoke a lot.
'Good heavens! What is this? What have I gotten myself into?' Curtis could not help but complain.
