Chapter 853 Possessing A World’s Experience

Staring at the symptoms displayed by a patient, a doctor would generally be able to predict the disease the patient is suffering from. And the more experienced the doctor is, the more accurate their prediction would be.

Because, they would be able to refer to this experience—having witnessed people with similar symptoms. And based on it, they would be able to infer the information and even tell diseases—with similar symptoms—apart.

An experienced farmer would only need to glance at the farm to know whether the soil condition was fit to grow a healthy field of crops. By observing his surroundings, staring at the clouds, the temperature and moisture content in the wind, and the behaviour of ants and other insects, he would be able to tell whether it was about to rain or not.

An expert goalkeeper would be able to predict the direction the ball would be shot towards, judging based on the striker\'s body language, their speed of approach, the way they tile their bodies, their eye movement, etc. and move to accurately defend against the ball.

All these were normal humans without any superhuman powers. But based on the experiences they accumulated in their life, they were able to accurately predict the variables.

There were such examples in every single field.

The ones who were able to infer better from their life experiences were termed geniuses, for their growth in their respective field was the fastest as compared to their peers.

Now, there was a world of such people, all with stellar intelligence and brainpower akin to a supercomputer, all living complex multivariate lives that the world offered. They lived their lives, experienced things constantly and inferred solutions accordingly.

And with the core of this world being spirituality, to focus on oneself and their surroundings to tap into its database of information and infer solutions to their necessities better, it resulted in the database getting updated with an insane volume of information continuously, all valuable experiences that played effect into various situations.

That was Compass Carburettor\'s gain, not an ability, Skill, or anything of the sort, but just a quantitative accumulation of experience that resulted in a qualitative condition, one that allowed him to infer details regarding anything with a glance.

Date Inferrer!

That was his power, one without a counter, for it wasn\'t an ability but an experience that grew over time. Even if Compass Carburettor sat like a rock, it would continue to grow, for there was an entire functioning world inside him that was adding to the data in his database.

Chemical composition, mineral deposit and distribution, weight, chemical bonding, density, diffusion, energy—heat, light, sound—absorption, etc.

In an instant, Compass Carburettor gained all information regarding the block of earth before him, saying as he faced City Scape, "If you touch it from a spot 2.8 metres up and 0.7 metres left at an angle 14 degrees to the surface, you\'ll be able to extract all the cobalt deposit within a second."

"What are you talking about?" City Scape frowned, pausing for a moment as he pointed at a spot two metres away, "Extracting from this spot should be the fastest based on my experience. I need around 1.3 seconds. Besides,"

He frowned, focusing on Compass Carburettor, "How did you know that I was planning to extract cobalt first?"

"The energy signature you were prepping up in your body and the deposit structure within the block led to three possibilities. You were extracting either iron, nickel or cobalt. But upon seeing where you gazed, and the mineral vein there, it was obvious that you selected cobalt first." Compass Carburettor said.

"You\'re called Compass, right?" City Scape asked, speaking upon seeing him nod, "You said yours is an experience-based ability? Did you have experience working with earth before?"

\'I didn\'t, but the Systems I sourced the Mental Fragments from were extensive terraformers that have shaped entire worlds according to their desires.\' He thought, smiling as he nodded, "Yes, I\'m confident in my claims."

"Sure, have it your way." City Scape nodded and touched the place Compass Carburettor pointed at, activating his power to notice that just as predicted, he was able to extract all the cobalt within a second.

His eyes widened in surprise as he looked at Compass Carburettor, "Do you wish to work in my agency? Your powers would hasten our scouting process to repair buildings."

"I\'m afraid I\'ll have to turn that offer down," Compass Carburettor smiled wryly as he pointed at old man Mida, "It was with great difficulty that I managed to pass their test and gain qualification to teach at the Academy."

"You, a teacher?" City Scape\'s face froze at the words as he stared at old man Mida, "You should know that without experience as a Hero, they cannot teach at a Hero Academy, right?"

"He won\'t be teaching ethics a Hero should follow, but rather train their abilities." Muscle Lantern said, "Even I managed to learn something new from him. So I\'m sure the students too would have a lot to gain. Of course, we only plan to make him a temporary faculty first to see how he fares."

"Well, as long as the Hero Association doesn\'t complain, who am I to tell." City Scape shrugged before focusing on his task, segregating heaps of purified materials from the earth.

And once Block Miner was done extracting the field, City Scape cracked his knuckles and grinned after a heap of materials was dumped into the pit, "Let\'s get started!"

Boom!

There was a mild rumble as intense energy fluctuated out of his body and seeped into the ground, causing the materials to melt into liquid as the pit transformed into a lake of sorts. And from there, the foundation was laid following which the central load-bearing beams jutted into the sky.

Walls began to cover them soon after as a massive structure gradually grew out of the ground magically.

\'Complex, but practical. That\'s the essence of all the powers of this world. You\'ve used my foundation well, brat.\' Compass Carburettor grinned, already aware that the reason the Hero Association hadn\'t done anything despite old man Mida informing them about him—the Contained Villain—teaching at the Academy was thanks to her.

She gained control of her body the moment this news reached the headquarters and hid the information, keeping even the collective consciousness in the dark.

This was a probe from his side actually, to see the extent of control Stencil had over her body. It was why he casually revealed that he was the Contained Villain. And Stencil\'s actions were a solid confirmation that when it mattered, she was in complete control of her body.

\'That\'s the spirit!\'
