Chapter 54 - Don't I Have You?
"Y-You killed John! Argh, I\'ll kill you!" a thug roared furiously after the person called John dropped dead on the cold floor.
Not surprisingly, many thugs also broke into rage.
"Step back, all of you. I will deal with this." Albion said.
Obviously, killing the chicken to warn the monkeys tactic did not work. The crowd was not convinced unless he showed his might.
That is fine. They were all going to be beaten anyway.
"Yes, Boss!"
Ah Zhen and the others retreated from the angry mob, while Albion threw himself forward.
Without much room within the private lounge to begin with, the front row of thugs suffered the first round of beating.
"Ahhh!"
Broken tooths went flying amidst some broken arms and legs among the severe cases. The more fortunate ones only suffered bruises and light scratches.
Albion only took a few punches and kicks to floor the gang members one after the other.
After everyone inside the private lounge was floored, the people outside mildly understood the trouble and began rushing in to help.
"Aiyo~! You\'re stepping on—"Ah, f*ck! Watch where you\'re stepping!"
"Ahh! Stop! Stop rushing in!"
"Ahh! Motherf*cker, who stepped on my hand?!"
Screams and wails echoed out the room while bodies began piling on top of each other. The gang members all squirmed in pain, while the ones at the bottom of the body mountain felt the most miserable.
In the end, only one corner of the room was clean while the bodies of 180-odd gang members littered the floor, from the private lounge to the hallway and from the stairs to the first floor.
Only twenty members were left standing on the first floor of the nightclub. When Albion directed his gaze at them, they immediately shivered and dropped to their knees.
"Boss, we submit to you!"
"We swear to serve you, Boss!"
At this point, they had all realized that the person before them had been going easy on them. There was simply no chance of winning. Rather than suffering a beating for nothing, it is better to submit.
Back on the second floor, Ah Zhen glanced at the piles of wailing men on the ground and shook his head.
"If you had all submit to the boss earlier, no one would have died, nor anyone has to suffer like this. Do you regret it now?" Ah Zhen asked amusedly, poking fun at them.
Pain wrecked all over their bodies, and indignant feelings surged in their hearts, but there was no place to vent it. They could only blame their bad luck.
"Is Brother Chen really dead?" A person spouted while gritting his teeth from the pain.
"Dead. Killed like a helpless chicken, not because Brother Chen was too weak, but the boss is simply too strong." Ah Zhen said.
His eyes flickered with deep respect.
"Brother Chen was already an Advanced-level martial artist. To be killed so easily, the boss must be a Grandmaster-level martial artist or a High-level Hunter at least!" Billy said with a reverent look.
"Grandmasters are all backed by powerful ancient families, while High-level Hunters are usually fighting interdimensional creatures near the dimensional rifts. What was one of them doing out here?"
Sometime later, the entire gang submitted to Albion, whether it was willingly by choice or unwillingly by force.
Ah Zhen made his through the mass of painfully squirming bodies and approached Albion.
"Boss, most of the gang members had been beaten down. I\'m afraid that once the other gangs catch wind of the news, they will bring their men here to usurp our territory." Ah Zhen mentioned his concern.
While seated on a comfortable couch, Albion glanced at the men on the floor and nodded.
"A commotion this big will definitely be noticed by others. We might as well help them by spreading the news to them and give them a bigger temptation."
Albion turned to a few unharmed gang members and ordered, "Go let the other gangs know Brother Chen is dead, and most of the Chen Gang has been disabled by internal conflict. Do not make it obvious, of course. You know what I mean, right?"
"Yes, Boss! You can leave it to us to get the job done!" A thug patted his chest confidently.
After the twenty-odd thugs all left the nightclub, Ah Zhen furrowed his brows and said, "Boss, if you do this, the other gangs might bring their entire force to finish us off and takeover our territories."
"That\'s exactly what I want."
Ah Zhen immediately frowned.
Was he mistaken? Does the boss want to eradicate the Chen Gang? But with the Boss\'s strength, he could uproot the Chen Gang himself. There was no need to rely on other gangs.
"What are you worried about? I, alone, am enough to deal with them. I do not need anyone to intervene." Albion said nonchalantly.
If the Yan, Metti, and Declan Gang all take the bait, he could deal with them all in one fell swoop. That would be the ideal scenario. It would save him time before he deals with the Bloodmoon Gang.
Ah Zhen was slightly startled before he bowed in apology, "Sorry, Boss. I did not mean to underestimate your strength."
Nevertheless, no one had yet to see the boss\'s true strength. It was normal for him to feel apprehension, knowing other gangs will attack them.
"Never mind that. I have a serious question to ask you." Albion said solemnly while flipping out his smartphone on the comfortable couch.
"Yes, boss, what would you like to know? Whether it is the gang\'s operation, business, and dealings, I am quite familiar with—"
"What\'s the most popular anime currently airing right now?"
"E-Excuse me?"
Ah Zhen was immediately taken aback by Albion\'s question and asked with a gulp, "T-That\'s the serious question, Boss?"
"What? You think I am joking? Since we have time, I might as well kill some time watching anime or something." Albion said casually, leaning back into the couch and resting his legs on the round marble table in front.
Ah Zhen\'s lips twitched.
"What about the gang\'s business and earnings? Are you not interested in this? Do you not plan to enforce changes or manage the business?"
"Why would I do that? Don\'t I have you for this?" Albion glanced Ah Zhen nonchalantly.
Ah Zhen was immediately struck speechless.
His new boss seems to be extremely capable but also lazy. Should he be overjoyed with honor or worried for the future of the gang?
