Chapter 8: Slaughter In Gymnasium
Chapter 8: Slaughter In Gymnasium
Erix glanced at Kenal and snorted.
"B-Boss… I had no choice. This bastard Mayor was threatening to take my life! You would also do the same if you were in my situation, right?" Kanel shouted as he started sobbing. He turned to eighty-something people in the gymnasium while pointing his finger at the Mayor. "Everyone! This Mayor is evil! He will only use you for your benefit. Don\'t trust him!"
\'This bastard…\' the Mayor became wide-eyed as he looked at Kanel bewilderedly. Even a fish on the board doesn\'t flip as fast as this snake, Kanel!
Erix and Rin continued walking before they stopped five meters away from the trembling Mayor.
"Spa-spare me! I will give you money or anything you want!"
Erix scoffed in disdain before speaking, "You can\'t give us anything in the current world where only one thing matters." Erix grinned as he moved his finger. "That one thing is power, and we have it more than you."
*Swoosh!*
The dagger floating on top of Erix quickly moved as it stabbed into Mayor\'s chest and came out from his back.
All people in the gymnasium trembled as they witnessed murder with their own eyes! All of them were powerless level 1 except for a few level 2 individuals.
"Boss Erix and teacher Rin. You can be our leader now! Please help us," Kanel said as he knelt on the ground and stuck his head on the floor while crying. "Please lead us!"
\'Damn it! I just hope they spare me. If I want to survive and rise, I need to get their trust,\' Kanel thought before he shouted. "Everyone! We should make them our leaders! With their strength, they can surely help us get strong, and we can build a strong community to survive in the current state of the world. We need to stay together!"
The other people in the gymnasium revealed hesitant expressions. But then started speaking.
"Please help us!"
"Let us work together, leader Erix and Leader Rin!"
Many people started shouting as they felt hope and a supportive pillar to lean on.
"What to do?" Rin asked as she turned to Erix. She didn\'t know what to do in this situation.
Erix looked at those people and Kanel, but… he started feeling unpleasant as he looked at them. They all looked like black wraiths with distrust oozing out of them.
A sense of disgust welled up in him.
\'Be their leader?\'
\'No, I can\'t trust them.\'
Erix looked at those people as a bloody glint passed through his eyes. Surprisingly or not surprisingly… He wanted to kill all of them! They didn\'t help Rin when she was the one who did the most hard work and brought them here safely.
Without Rin, they wouldn\'t even have arrived here safely! But when she was threatened and beaten by those police officers on Mayor\'s order, nobody stepped up to help her!
Mayor\'s son tried to take advantage of her, and she acted in self-defense. The one in the wrong was that bastard! Why did his Rin have to suffer for no crime?
Would they have spoken at all, even if the Mayor decided to kill Rin?
"Rin, I want to kill all of them… They do not deserve to live," Erix faintly muttered as he turned his head towards Rin. But, aside from Rin, nobody heard him.
"What?" Rin was startled hearing that. She looked Erix in the eyes and saw anger. She knew he was angry for her sake. But… she was still a bit shaken after hearing that Erix wanted to kill all those people.
The people in the gymnasium who were speaking also turned silent after they saw Rin and Erix looking at each other. They waited for a response while getting nervous.
Kanel also looked up and was confused.
"Are you sure?" Rin asked with hesitation evident in her eyes.
Erix smiled as he unhurriedly nodded and gently caressed Rin\'s head. "If you are not fine with it, we can just leave after you kill that trash in the infirmary."
Rin stared at Erix for two seconds straight before she smiled. She wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled lovingly.
"Everything that makes me whole is you, Erix. My heart and soul are yours."
Erix took in Rin\'s warmth in the hug and kissed her forehead after removing his mask and putting it in inventory.
Rin sweetly smiled at him. "All I know is that you love me, and that\'s all that matters, so... kill them, Erix. Kill them, just as I would kill for you."
At that, Erix and Rin started passionately kissing each other.
*Swoosh!*
Meanwhile, the swooshing sound of a dagger cutting through the air accompanied by screams of people filled the hall.
Kanel stood up as he knew there was no saving anymore.
"Madness…" he muttered seeing Rin and Erix kissing each other passionately while the dagger took people\'s lives in the hall.
\'Fuck, fuck, fuck!\'
He saw the dagger coming towards him like a death reaper as it grazed his neck before flying away.
\'I will come back, Erix!\'
With envy and hatred-filled eyes, Kanel fell to the ground and died.
A few seconds later, Rin took out her pistol and started killing those out of Erix\'s Metal Control skill range.
"Spare us!"
"No!"
"Attack them! Kill them! These lunatics, fu-"
"N-no, please! I have a family!"
The people had no escape since Erix and Rin were in the exit\'s direction. But, alas, they were already less than half of the original number. A slight scrape by the poison dagger rendered them immobile, and death followed up soon.
Rin looked at the people as her eyes turned calm. "I had no reason to save you, but you had plenty to speak up when that trash and his dogs locked me up."
Her world was Erix. If he decided to do something, she would support him because she knew that Erix would support her if she decided to do something.
If she said she didn\'t want to kill them, Erix would have supported her. That\'s why he asked her. But… she had no reason not to let him act upon his wish born out of his love for her!
"Why?! Why did you do this?!"
The last one standing shouted with terror, tears, and despair in her eyes. She was a student and a year older than Erix.
"Because you don\'t deserve to live," Erix indifferently said.
"Who are you to decide that?! Y-You could leave us alone!" the girl shouted as she looked at them. "You will rot in hell for this!"
Rin looked at her with no expression as she side-hugged Erix.
Erix plainly smiled with a deadpan expression. "I don\'t like that phrase. Did Rin leave you alone when you were in trouble? As a teacher, she took responsibility and helped you all. So, why did you leave Rin alone? She helped you, but none of you stood up for her."
"But w-"
"I am your god at this moment," Erix interrupted her as he spoke with utter coldness, "and I deem you not worthy of living because of your decision."
*Swoosh!*
